Hi, I take the multivitamin one mf which has another form of zinc. Is it overkill to take zinc carnosine in addition? Same question for my son (5 years old). He takes the kids chewable mf? Can I give him this in addition? We both just got out of mold. His gut lining was very affected by it. Thanks! | Hi Lorena - There is 16 mg of elemental zinc in 75 mg of zinc carnosine. Mold really wipes out glutathione. Consider:

Hello Dr. Lynch, Can this form of zinc also help raise zinc levels if I'm deficient in zinc? I'm quite sensitive to new supplements so I want to start slowly. Can I open the capsule and add the amount I want to something like yogurt (dairy free/almond milk) | Hi there - It can yes. You may open the capsule and put into a bite of food vs mixing it in an entire bowl of yogurt. In health, |
Hi, Currently on Ppi Pantoprazole 40mg twice a day alongwith Sucralfate (since May 2024). Extremely tired of heartburn, Reflux , GERD & Gastritis/Ulcer symptoms. My wish is to be able to wean off medicine and be able to stop them altogether. I haven't had success so far :( I would like to know if Zn Carnosine can be taken while still on the above Pantoprazole and Sucralfate regimen. I asked my Gastroenterologist but he didn't know about Zn Carnosine. They only give medicine and don't study supplements. Please advise. | Hi AZT - I hear you on this. Not easy struggling with this. There's a few things going on that need support. Consider:
This combination is very supportive of gut health. After a week, you should start noticing significant changes for a healthy gut.* and you can continue using your medications as needed while doing this. Keep me posted. In health, |
Hi, Can Zn Carnosine help with GUT issues (like bloating, constipation/ diarrhea etc) in addition to healing the Stomach ( for issues like Gastritis/ Ulcer/ Acid Reflux etc)? I have been using Magnesium, Vit D, B Complex from Seeking Health and love them. A quick response will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, AZ | Hi AZ - Glad to hear that you like the Seeking Health products :). Typically Zinc Carnosine is more used to support a healthy gut lining. It does not directly help with bloating, constipation, or diarrhea. However, some research indicates that it does have antibacterial effects against H. pylori.* https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8727261/ So it's possible that it may help in an indirect way if symptoms of bloating, constipation, and/or diarrhea were the result of something like that.* But there's no evidence for that. Consider other types of gut support for these types of symptoms:
Hope this helps :) |

I was recommended a zinc carnosine tablet to either chew or swallow- the ingredients match on this product- why is this product just in a capsule for swallowing? | Hi Halley - Zinc carnosine does not need to be in a chewable. The capsule dissolves quickly in the stomach and delivers the contents there to support a healthy gut lining.* If you prefer, you may open the capsule and put the contents onto a bite of food. Does the SH zinc carnosine product use pepZinGi ? If not, what kind of zinc carnosine is in the product? | Hi SS - Yes, it is the PepZinGI material. We don't declare it on the label as we are pending a trademark agreement with them. We should have it on the next label. In health, |
