Will the StrateGene Report tell me if I have MTHFR mutations?Updated 4 months ago

StrateGene will report the findings of two MTHFR variants: C677T and A1298C. There are many other MTHFR variants as well, that we do not report on, as there is either no researched data on how these other MTHFR variants function or there are very, very rare and serious MTHFR variants. For example, some other genetic reports discuss MTHFR 3 but there is no published evidence that these are functionally relevant. The MTHFR variants that are extremely rare and very harmful at birth are not reported, as StrateGene must follow strict regulations and cannot report on disease-causing alleles.
