Why is alcohol used to make liposomals and why does Seeking Health NOT use alcohol?Updated a month ago

Alcohol is used for 2 main reasons:
It is a preservative and it is an easy way to make liposomes.

Alcohol-free liposomes can be made and their size is controlled by the exact lipid formula and concentration.
Our process does not use heat or added chemicals or high pressure.  This is important in order to keep delicate ingredients from degrading during the process.
It takes longer to make liposomes alcohol free and the phosphatidylcholine (PC) lipid complex is more expensive because the PC content must be higher.  This is an advantage since PC is a very desirable nutrient.

So in summary, alcohol-free manufacturing allows those sensitive to alcohol to use the product.
Our process is ‘added-chemical’ free, a green process that does not require heat or high pressure.
Our liposomes have a higher level of phosphatidylcholine (PC) than is required for alcohol based liposomes.  The exact PC complex is proprietary, and has taken years to perfect!
