What is the Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) for vitamins and minerals?Updated 4 months ago
Research shows that there are certain amounts of nutrients needed on a daily basis from the diet in order to prevent deficiency symptoms, often referred to as Dietary Reference Intakes (DRI), Daily Values (DV), Adequate Intakes (AI), or Recommended Dietary Allowances (RDA). These are NOT the upper limits of the nutrients, but instead, are defined as the average daily level of intake sufficient to meet the nutrient requirements of nearly all (97%-98%) healthy people.
