What changed in the Optimal Fish Oil in Jan 2019?Updated a month ago
In our ever-present pursuit for excellence, in January 2019 we upgraded our Optimal Fish Oil to have higher standards for quality and potency, including being International Fish Oil Standards (IFOS) five-star compliant. It is now higher potency, containing over 900 mg omega-3 fatty acids per SINGLE softgel, versus our original formula which provided 1500 mg from TWO softgels. Every batch of the new formula is controlled to be less than half of the contaminant (heavy metals and persistent organic pollutants) limits set in the current guidelines (e.g., European Pharmacopoeia, Global Organization for EPA and DHA (GOED), United States Pharmacopeia), and actual Persistent Organic Pollutant levels typically show values close to or below detection limits.
