Testosterone Nutrients Dr. Lynch Product Q&AUpdated 3 hours ago

Question
Answer
Hi Dr Lynch!! I so appreciate everything you do:) my question is what are your thoughts on slow CoMT and MTHFR variant 6775 and HRT for perimenopause/menopause? I found out I have a slow CoMT and just started HRT, I have been reading on it and trying to get informed. I also have low testosterone hence why I am looking at this supplement. Menopause has become such a huge topic was wondering your thoughts. Thanks:)

Hi Christine -

I hear you - yes menopause is a big one. My wife is nearing this phase in her life so I'm researching how to support it nutritionally.

Being a slow COMT with MTHFR variants combined means you must be careful with your estrogens. Too much and you become not only irritable and insomnia, but also may increase cancer risk.

You will want to talk with your doctor about measuring what's called Estrogen Fractionation to make sure you are evaluating the 3 types or more of estrogen - E1, E2 and E3. There are good forms of estrogen and harmful forms.

DHEA may be helpful for you to support healthy hormone levels - start low and work with your doctor.*

There is a small amount of DHEA in Testosterone Nutrients.

My wife does enjoy using Optimal Man to support her healthy testosterone levels when she needs.* She uses 1-2 capsules after a protein based breakfast. She has not used Testosterone Nutrients yet but many other women have as you can see from the product reviews.

Consider:

  • Optimal Man: 1 capsule after breakfast
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Optimal Magnesium OR Optimal Electrolyte: 1-2 servings a day to support healthy magnesium levels which supports a healthy COMT function.*

Hello Dr. Lynch and team, I am surprised about this supplement. I have low testosterone so I thought this supplement might be of great help for me. But I get adverse reactions from it. It happened both times I took it. When I take 2 or 3 capsules before bed after a couple of hours I get intense stomach pains and gargling. I even wake up from it. And the next day I have very frequent bad bowl movements basically diarrhea and feel horrible. Am I reacting to anything in there?

Hi Stephan -

This can happen with herbs.

Let's make a few adjustments which can help a lot.

Consider:

  • Right after dinner, take 1 capsule of Testosterone Nutrients. Taking it right after a meal will help support absorption of the herbs.

Start with 1 capsule to see how you do this way. Then increase to 2 capsules.

I typically do 2 capsules after dinner.

I also had a bowel adjustment the first time I took this supplement and then it went away. I also was taking it away from food - before bed - and now I only take it after a meal.

Keep me posted how this works for you.

In health,
Dr. Lynch

She's back with more questions! ;-) Dr. Lynch I just got my Dutch test results back (as well as the OATS), and based on your other answers to other women's questions here with similar results as mine, I'm thinking of adding in Testosterone Nutrients and Stress Nutrients. I'd love to know your take of this! I have a very strong libido and strong fertile symptoms each month. I have an incredible energy surge in my ovulatory phase. I've been taking your DIM only days 3 until ovulation. I've noticed my belly being flat on recurring days since I started that. I know it's mostly water retention as it tends to come and go! I take your Calcium D Glucarate every day. I also take fish oil and magnesium glycinate, D3 + K2. I pulse B12/Folate and take the Multivitamin MF. The only real "stress" in my life that can send me into fight or flight fairly quickly are my children... they are small and when my 4 year old says "Mommy" 7000 times in two minutes I want to die... I'm sorry to say it like that but I've learned over the years that my COMT+- just makes me feel edgy unless I have A LOT of time to myself, and as a parent that's often not happening. I do get up early to meditate and do breath work almost every day. I meditate again in the afternoon almost every day when my baby naps. I've done TM for over a decade. Consistently. I honestly don't have "stressors" in my life as I'm incredible grateful for my three beautiful, wonderful children and husband- I live a very beautiful life, but as you already know; parenting can be HARD. I'm also waiting for my Vibrant Total Tox Panel results. I did a micronutrient test recently and my mercury was slightly high, but maybe for someone as sensitive as myself, even that little bit is too much. I'm really happy the oats part of my test looks great! Hi Jennifer

;)

I hear you! Young kids are monsters - and so are puppies. They know how to make us tired :)

For support, I have a couple suggestions for you to consider:

  • Stress Nutrients: 3 capsules in the morning to support a healthy response to stressors. You'd take this pretty consistently as it can take the 'edge off' and have a healthy response to 'mommy' all the time ;)
  • Lithium Orotate: for days where the Stress Nutrients isn't cutting it, and you need a healthy response to stressors, add in 1 capsule of Lithium Orotate and take any time of day or night. It seems to have a healthy effect within about 20 minutes of taking it.*
  • I would not add in Testosterone Nutrients for you - for your husband yes. He could take 2 capsules after dinner.
  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules for your husband after breakfast.
  • sauna as you can to support healthy detoxification and relaxation: https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0010/0250/4310/files/Sauna-ebook-REV060925.pdf?v=1749503120

Does low testosterone cause general anxiety and/or social anxiety?

Hi Jack -

Yes, low testosterone is associated with increased anxiety and irritability.

By supporting healthy testosterone levels, you're supporting a healthy mood with healthy patience with healthy motivation as well.*

I suggest starting with 2 capsules after dinner. Do for a full week and see how you feel. This is the amount I use and it's usually sufficient.

I use Optimal Man, 2 capsules after a protein breakfast, in addition.

72 y.o. man with T levels in the basement. I have some vices, yet at least we eat almost a 100% organic, including raw milk. My question is about the relationship between BPH and low T levels. I have been hesitant to 'help' my low t levels in any way because it is my understanding that that help would also make BPH worse. I suspect that we are taking far too many supplements and appreciate your video about going on a supplement fast for a couple of weeks. I need to learn about potential over methylation, and SO much more. I get up to many times at night to pee, and no matter what time of day it is urinating takes way too long. 23andme and ChatGPT tells me: DAO rs10156191: CT, MTHFR C677T: AG + A1298C: TT. COMT rs4680: GG, MAOA rs6323: TT I have a profound respect for you and your work. We are all fortunate that you followed your interest. Bravo. So, what about low T support and BPH? It would be nice to have morning wood again, and to avoid allopathic prostate interventions. Thank you for being you. Dr Carl, DC

Hi Dr. Carl -

I hear you.

It's a great point and one that needs to be addressed.

When one supports healthy testosterone levels, they are also at risk for increasing estrogen and DHT levels.

Testosterone Nutrients is designed to support healthy testosterone levels while also focusing on healthy SHBG, healthy estrogen and healthy DHT levels (some).

The DIM is known to support healthy DHT levels.
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/12665522/

To further support DHT that's outside of Testosterone Nutrients, one should take a saw palmetto standardized extract like Vispo. I am designing a Prostate Nutrients formula and testing it. Right now, I'm not releasing it as it's just too expensive.

I do like the Life Extension Prostate formula: https://amzn.to/45gtJeR

Consider:

  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules with your protein based breakfast
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after breakfast or dinner - your choice - see which one you like.
  • Ultra Prostate by Life Extension: 2 softgels after breakfast or dinner - your choice - see which you prefer.
  • DIM+I3C: 1 capsule after dinner to support healthy DHT levels.* if needed and it may be especially if estrogen and DHT are higher than you like as this supports healthy estrogen and DHT levels.*

Then test your hormone levels in about a month to see how they are doing.

Hi! I am a 42 year old female with low testosterone. Free testosterone was 13 ng/dl and free testosterone was .6pg/mL in November of 2024. I also did self-decode and it told me my genetics have me higher at risk for low testosterone. So, I was sold on taking this. However, I’m also healing from EBV and at the time of my blood draw, I had my first flare. My hormones are recalibrating as we speak and everything is just working harder. I tried taking 1 capsule of testosterone nutrients after dinner for two nights (this was right before my period came). I felt more hot flashy (which I have never felt before). Could this be from my hormones being wonky already, testosterone nudging estrogen too low, or something else? I stopped taking it because I didn’t know if I was pushing my body too hard, but at the same time I feel like it’s pretty clear I may need some support. I feel fatigued, my hair is falling out more than normal, libido is low, etc. On a positive note, I am 1.5 months into treating EBV and my menstrual cycles have lengthened from 24-26 days to 31-32 days and I’m ovulating more clearly around day 14 so that feels like a win. Instinctively, I feel like I have low progesterone (even though apparently my pgr gene is highly active), higher estrogen, and low testosterone. Would testosterone nutrients still work for me or is healing EBV the top priority before trying again? Last, I take a glutothione plus lozenge daily (my GST is complicated, SOD2 is fast, and my GGT is fast among others), optimal electrolytes, fish oil, optimal prenatal MF, 1/2 a lozenge of hydroxyb12/b9 lozenge (my folate pathways are slllooowww and with EBV I feel like it eats it up), vitamin c, 2 bile nutrients after dinner if my tongue looks like I need it, probiotic histiminX, lysine, and monolaurin. Thank you for any insight you might have.

Hi Stephanie -

That's a great program you are on.

One thing I'd add is sauna
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0010/0250/4310/files/Sauna-ebook-REV060925.pdf?v=1749503120

I do agree that adding in progesterone could be helpful. There are progesterone creams on Amazon and you should ideally measure your hormone levels.

Taking Testosterone Nutrients may be helpful when your estrogen levels are lower which are right after ovulation. Consider taking Testosterone Nutrients the day after ovulation and then through menses. Once menses stops, stop the Testosterone Nutrients.

If your estrogen is high, consider adding in Liver Nutrients or Calcium D Glucarate after dinner.

Take a look at Immune Intensive as well to support your body's natural healthy immune response.* Consider taking 1 serving in the morning after breakfast and another serving after dinner.

Hi! My husband had recently started taking Testosterone Nutrients, 1 cap in the evenings before bed as suggested. He started having mysterious sharp pains in shoulder and arms. He noted that this started with taking Testosterone nutrients and the pain stopped when he discontinued use. Is this a coincidence or possibly a reaction to something in the supplement? I noticed only one other question in the reviews mentioned sharp pains but you did not address it. He has been taking Optimal Man for over a year and doing well with it. He is 58 years old. Thank you.

Hi Angie -

Thank you for sharing this.

I am not sure why this would happen besides an atypical response to one of the herbs most likely.

Testosterone replacement therapy can contribute to these symptoms so I would have him test his hormone levels to see where he is. Perhaps the Optimal Man is sufficient for him.

Test:

  • DHEA
  • free testosterone
  • total testosterone
  • estradiol
  • sex hormone binding globulin

You can do these via various at home tests, too, such as this one:
https://www.privatemdlabs.com/lp/body-builder-testing.php

There are many to choose from.

In the meantime, I would discontinue use of Testosterone Nutrients for him.

You may want to try using Testosterone Nutrients, 1 capsule after dinner, to see how you do. As both men and women age, testosterone levels drop. Many women report great success after starting use of Testosterone Nutrients.

50 year old menopausal woman here. Was taking bioidentical HRT for 3 years. Developed abnormal growth and thickening to my uterine lining. Got off all hormones, but 6 months later and I’m feeling very tired, lacking libido, feeling depressed on and off. Would taking this product affect my current issues in any negative way? I’m really looking to get my energy, libido and good mood back.

Hi Elly -

I do think Testosterone Nutrients would be a supportive supplement for you as it supports what you are saying you need healthy support with without driving up estrogen.

Start with 1 capsule after dinner for a few days and then try for 2 capsules after dinner.

That should be what you need.

Do for 1 month on and 1 week off.

Retest hormones and evaluate how you are feeling.

Hey Dr. Lynch, I have purchased this supplement for my husband along with several of your other supplements. I have also read your book in hopes to get my husband “back.” He has had low testosterone in the 300-400 for many years and he’s just this year turning 40. He hasn’t had the best doctor over the years. He hasn’t treated his testosterone but has treated him with daily PPIs and antacids, lexipro for anxiety, and even had him on adderall at one point. Although he’s been off of that for a few years now. His labs always come back low in b12 and vitamin d as well but everything else looking super good. He has struggled with anxiety and depression pretty severely the last few years and I think the low vitamin and testosterone levels as well as the medications possibly disrupting his nutrient absorption are contributing factors. Based on your book, I think he likely has MTHFR variation and Fast COMT although I don’t know for sure. I have him taking your ProBiota HistaminX, B12 Folinic Acid, magnesium, D12 +k2, and testosterone nutrients. We started them one at a time and made sure all was good before adding something new. He took the testosterone nutrient 4 at a time for two weeks, then we reduced to 2 at a time for a couple of weeks and then went to one at a time for the remainder of the bottle. I know it’s important to take breaks so he has been off now for about 3 weeks. He did not experience any negative affects that we could tell. I just thought maybe he could do the lower doses. My initial question was how long of a break should he take and should he start back with just taking 1 per day at night or do you suggest something else. And if you have any thoughts or insight based on what I’ve shared I would be grateful! He is doing much better, I feel since we started all the supplements. My ultimate plan is to work with a practitioner to wean him off the PPI first. And maybe one day he will be able to come off the lexipro. His previous doctor told him he would be on it for the rest of his life. I just want him to feel good again. Part of depression is not having the motivation to figure things out so I’m trying to help him as much as I can. Thank you for your time!!

Hi Kaleigh -

We can get your husband back to full vitality again - I'm confident of that. He's young and you're a great supportive partner - key combination!

Your plan is pretty good but is missing a couple things which could really have a big positive impact on him.

Consider:

  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules with protein breakfast and 2 capsules after a protein based lunch
  • stop the B12, folate, D3+K2 supplement as these are all in the Optimal Man
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule upon waking in the morning as this is the best researched time I just learned.
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving upon waking in the morning and another midday or during exercise
  • Brain Nutrients: 1/2 lozenge upon waking in the morning and another 1/4 to 1/2 midday if needed
  • Lexipro is a SSRI which means it helps keep serotonin longer acting in the brain. He can definitely get off of this. I have a full video on medications and mood for Members. I highly suggest watching that video should you choose the Seeking Health Membership. There's a TON of great content in there.
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after breakfast and 2 capsules after dinner. Do this 1 month on and then break for 1 week. Then resume at 2 capsules after dinner only and see how he does with this. Then take a break for a week. Then resume at 1 capsule after dinner and see how he does with a week break again. Then maintain at 1-2 capsules after dinner for 1 month on and 1 week off.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Optimal Magnesium: 1 capsule after dinner or before bed

Keep me posted - he should feel quite amazing with this.

As he feels better, talk with his doctor about tapering off the Lexipro.

If he needs further support for healthy serotonin levels, consider Serotonin Nutrients.* Do not combine Lexipro and Serotonin Nutrients. It's one or the other. He may not need either once he supports a healthy foundation which he is now doing.

For his reflux, look into:

Hello! First time I’ve tried Testosterone Nutrients. Took it before bed and in the morning I woke up with burning blanching rash all over the body. Why would it cause this reaction? Thanks

Hi Maria -

Sounds like you had a reaction to one or more of the ingredients.

Given that many of the ingredients are herbs, and herbs can cause reactions in some people, that may be the case in your situation.

If you took more than 1 capsule, I'd say take only one capsule and take it after dinner - make sure you take after some food.

If you took only 1 capsule, then taking it right after dinner may be the difference you need.

My husband had an ultrasound that showed an epididymal cyst. Would adding this supplement, or Optimal Man shrink it? I also noticed that the Bile Nutrients that I take contains a few nutrients that might help it shrink, too. Thanks!

Hi Bobby -

I don't think so. I think the cyst is likely caused by an injury or some blunt trauma to the area - or a clogged gland.

I can say that your husband would enjoy how he feels using what I do most days:

  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules in the morning after a protein based breakfast.
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after dinner. Do 1 month on and 1 week off. He's looking for early morning erections as that's a sign of healthy testosterone. He can reduce dosage or frequency once he notices these. Key is to maintain it.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1-2 servings a day
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule upon waking

This stack will perform well for him.

41 year old female. 6 years post total hysterectomy. I was on hormone pellets for 3 years. Haven’t felt ideal. Discontinued in in October 2024z Haven’t really responded well to testosterone creams. Symptoms and blood levels never really change. My hair is thinning and I know my cortisol levels are up, based on symptoms. High stress with 2 children and working. What do you suggest to minimize the need or eliminate the need synthetic replacement?

Hi Randi -

Glad you asked.

Being a mom is tough with young kids and working.

Consider:

  • Stress Nutrients: 3 capsules after a protein based breakfast
  • Optimal Man: 1-2 capsules after breakfast
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1-2 capsules after dinner. Do 1 month on and 1 week pause. Repeat. Test your hormones in 2 months.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1-2 servings a day

This should help significantly.

Hi Dr Lynch, I just got results of a dutch hormone test and along with very low estrogen and progesterone, my testosterone is almost non-existent. Boy do I feel it too - my hair is thinning, my libido is low, my motivation is totally flat, my sleep is broken, I'm tired a lot and I feel depressed and apathetic. I'm concerned about doing TRT due to the risk of making my hair loss worse, so am thinking about trying Testosterone Nutrients. I'm a 46 and 124lb - how many capsules do you recommend starting with? How long should I give it before increasing an initial dosage?

Hi Jamie -

Glad you got your testing done. Way to take action on that.

A few things I'm thinking about:

  • Why are all your hormones low? High stress? Poor nutrient absorption? Vegetarian/vegan diet? High physical and emotional stressors?
  • Eat more meat, protein, fruit, eggs. Protein with each meal - every one. Limit carbs.
  • Digestive Enzymes: 2 capsules with each meal
  • Chew the heck out of your food. Very well. Don't drink during meals so you optimize your digestion.
  • Stress Nutrients: 3 capsules after your breakfast to have a healthy response to stress so you conserve your DHEA for hormone synthesis rather than cortisol production only. Curious how your cortisol/cortisone levels are on your test.
  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 with lunch
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after dinner to start. Combined with Optimal Man you shouldn't need the full amount.
  • Limit how hard you're exercising if you are.
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving upon waking in the morning and another one midday and one when you exercise. The added creatine, taurine, magnesium etc in here is key for you.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Stop eating at 7 PM. Be in bed by 10 PM.
  • Get a Garmin Venu 3 watch and track your sleep, HRV, stress, etc - it's like having a coach on your wrist.

Make these changes and check in. I know it may sound like a lot above but it's key for you.

You'll feel better right quick.

Hi Dr Lynch - I am a 53 year old menopausal woman who exercises (walking, weight lifting), eats pretty "decently" but continually struggles with feeling tired, unmotivated and struggling to get that extra 10 pounds off my body (plus hot flashes during the day and night). I'm unable to take HRT due to Factor V - do you recommend this to help me feel more "alive" again?

Hi Shyla -

I do believe that Testosterone Nutrients may support healthy motivation and healthy energy for you.*

Consider:

  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1 capsule after a protein based breakfast and 1 capsule before bed. You may find that 1 capsule a day is enough or you may need 2. Take a 1 week break once a month or as you feel you need them.
  • Stop eating around 7 PM and have your largest meals of the day with breakfast. At first, this will be hard, then after 2-3 weeks, your body will adjust and it will be easier.

Dr. Lynch

G'day Dr Ben, Firstly, thank you for your open dialogue on health and the excellent Seeking Health product line. I've reported my success on T-Nutrients previously and have just come the feedback on occasional dizziness while using the product. I too have experienced this, with symptoms ameliorating as soon as I had a break. I've backed off on the dosage. But any further insights into this would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Arthur -

Thank you for the kind words and you're welcome!

I hear you on the dizziness potential with Testosterone Nutrients.

This is likely due to the RipFactor which supports healthy blood flow.*

In the next lot, I am replacing RipFactor with TestFactor which is essentially the same ingredients just at a lower potency so you'd be getting 1/2 the amount you are now.

Consider:

  • Take 1-2 capsules after dinner - not 4.
  • Some guys, and gals, like taking it after breakfast. I like taking it after dinner. See what works best for you.
  • Feel how you're doing. I believe once you replenish your healthy testosterone levels, you may not need as much as often.
  • Consider using it a week on followed by a week off.
  • What I use to measure if I need it or not is if I do or don't wake up with 'morning wood'. Morning wood is a natural occurrence where a man will have an erection very early in the morning while in bed sleeping. This is because testosterone levels are highest early morning. If you have morning wood, don't take Testosterone Nutrients. If you don't, then do take it as it supports healthy testosterone levels.*

Hi Dr Ben Lynch. My husband is 54 and had low end of normal testosterone. He has no colon, has j-pouch. He started the Testosterone Nutrients and he gets so nauseated (even taking with food) each time, he is giving up. He was so looking forward to this option because we trust your products so much. Any idea what could be causing such intense reactions? Started with full dose, then went to half. Still extremely nauseous. Thank you! Jenny M.

Hi Jenny -

How is his stomach acid typically? I'm wondering if his stomach acid levels are low.

Consider sipping some apple cider vinegar diluted in warm filtered water prior to eating.

I'd also use just 1 capsule of Testosterone Nutrients with his meal - after sipping the apple cider vinegar.

My husband is 66 years old and on BDH pellets and is tapering off. He wants to find another way to help with his testosterone. For years prior, he used gels, creams and injections to raise very low testosterone levels. His hematocrit levels increase as his testosterone increases. Right now it is at 49% and he donates blood every 3 months. His testosterone is in the 300 range. He is taking EGCG 355 mg, saw palmetto 320 mg, DIM13+C, NAC, Physician's Design Brite Brain, milk thistle and glutathione. My question: As he stops the pellets, can he just use the Testosterone Nutrients? And, what else would he need? Thank you.

Hi Martha -

I hear you and great questions.

Short answer: I'm not sure but I believe so yes.

Why do I say this:

  • I'm 51 years old and on no testosterone support. I'm finding the combination of Optimal Man and Testosterone Nutrients to be incredibly helpful. My lean body mass is greatly improved, my motivation, endurance, sleep, cognition and morning erections are all present when they were not prior to starting so I can personally state these nutrients support healthy testosterone levels.*

Consider:

  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules after a protein based breakfast to support overall foundational health and some minor healthy testosterone support.*
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after a protein based dinner to support healthy testosterone levels. Do for 1-2 weeks on (depending on how he feels) and then take 1 week off. Repeat.
  • Fish Oil: very important. 1 capsule nightly after dinner
  • keep going with the EGCG, saw palmetto, DIM IF estrogen is high and stop if not (Testosterone Nutrients has DIM and DHEA)
  • careful with combination of NAC and glutathione - he could get headaches from this combination along with sulfur smelling stools. They are good supplements but taken too often can be problematic.

Don't mean to keep asking questions but this might help others. Male with Estrogen Dominance due to aromatase. Been getting inflammation down for a few months to help. I took a break from Testosterone Nutrients to focus solely on aromatase. I took some aromatase inhibitors this past week and my liver seems to be healing, however I noticed I get brain fog from it. No dizziness, just brain fog and some lightheadedness. Seems to effect some of my cognition, but not like it was great before. Seem to be more sensitive to caffeine as well. Does lowering estrogen deplete something or could this be anything? What are your thoughts?

Hi Bijan -

Aromatase blockers can be really interfering with many things - and I purposely don't use things like chrysin as they are too strong at reducing estrogen.

Estrogen is needed to support healthy neurotransmission.

Low estrogen is associated with brain fog and ADHD as healthy estrogen levels support healthy dopamine levels for one. -

Estrogen also supports serotonin and acetylcholine.

Research is conflicted on this issue - likely because it's so complex.

Here's one paper
https://pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/articles/PMC6382974/

If you're feeling brain fog, I recommend you consider reducing how much aromatase inhibitors you are taking.

You may just need Testosterone Nutrients and some more DIM+I3C.

Is this ok for college athletes? They have strict rules regarding supplements.

Hi Jeannette -

Testosterone Nutrients is not suitable for college athletes.

Neither is Optimal Man.

I was a college athlete. I rowed for the University of Washington Huskies back in the day. Tough and amazing experience.

I do suggest he consider:

  • Multivitamin One MF: take 1 capsule every other day M, W, F after a protein based breakfast.
  • Optimal Electrolyte: take as needed. Add an additional 1/4 salt into it as well as he will need more salt. This has creatine, taurine, ATP, magnesium - powerhouse - and the Orange is NSF sport approved. All flavors are legal. Berry and Orange are most popular.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Energy Nutrients: 1/2 lozenge prior to working out and possibly right before a competition. Have him try it. It's insane - and legal.

Sounds good!! When will Prostate Nutrients be released?

Hi Bijan -

Be about a year maybe a bit less.

It's under going testing now on people - small pilot tests.

Are there any good additional anti-aromatase to add or stack with Testosterone Nutrients for additional support?

Hi Bijan -

I recommend testing your estradiol, free testosterone, total testosterone, DHT and DHEA and see what comes back. You may be quite pleased.

There are already a couple anti-aromatase nutrients in Testosterone Nutrients:

  • Luteolin
  • Fenugreek
  • Ashwagandha indirectly (by supporting healthy cortisol levels)
  • Boron (possibly) - does support healthy estrogen levels
  • DIM (possibly) - does support healthy estrogen levels

I am currently testing Prostate Nutrients (and it's proving effective). This formulation has significantly more anti-aromatase inhibitors which would make a great synergistic supplement along with Testosterone Nutrients.

Hi Dr Lynch, Brianna again, quick question on the break. I’ve been on for 8 weeks, I’ve tried twice to break but each time I I feel completely fatigued and run down. Does this mean my body still needs the daily support? My testosterone from a DUTCH test was .03 before beginning. My most recent labs show my testosterone has went up slightly but still well below optimal levels. For reference I’m taking 4 a day plus 4 optimal man to feel best. Thank you for all of your help!

Hi Bri -

I hear you.

Then stay on as you see fit.

I suspect you may need more hormone support for some reason.

If you're really stressed out physically and mentally, you're going to use up your DHEA to build up cortisol vs testosterone - plus you'll convert your testosterone to DHT or estrogen faster.

I suggest adding in:

  • Stress Nutrients: 3 capsules after your protein based breakfast to support a healthy response to stress.*
  • Optimal Magnesium: 1 capsule in the morning and 1 before bed to support healthy testosterone levels and healthy sleep.*

Keep me posted :)

In health,
Dr. Lynch

DIM or DHEA? I was asking the previous question for DIM haha.

Hi Justin -

Whoa. I read too fast - and currently on a break from taking Testosterone Nutrients. Perhaps I need to get restarted :)

DIM.

There is a fair amount of DIM in this supplement.

As with the DHEA, I had more in my original formulation but reduced it.

I'd definitely go with the amount of DIM that is currently in it which is a solid amount for men.

If needing more estrogen support, then you can add in either Bile Nutrients before dinner or DIM+I3C after dinner - one or the other.

In health,
Dr. Lynch

I know you don't release dosages, but is the amount of DIM around the normal dosage or is it just low dose of DIM in this product?

Hi Justin -

Thank you for understanding.

It's an effective amount that is on the lower end. Guys don't need that much.

If more DHEA is needed, one can add it.

I tried using more DHEA in one of my earlier formulations and found it was too much. Thus, I reduced it and found that the amount I'm using now works well.

The synergy of ingredients is important to realize. Typically, one may want to use 25 mg to 50 mg of DHEA on a daily basis; however, when combining with other herbs and nutrients, the amount needed of just one ingredient goes down.

Hi Dr.Ben Lynch, I’ve been following your work in StrateGene FB group and miss having the educational aspect of it. I learned of and have been using Probiota histaminiX and adeno b12 successfully. Thanks a ton for these and other products! My T has been low for a long time. Now in meno I tried DHEA 10 mg resulting in much better sleep & motivation. but developed facial acne, frontal hair follicles inflamed , and flimsy hair or hair fallout. Can it also cause constipations? My past Dutch test showed 5a-r slightly elevated. Q: if using TNutrients, which has DHEA- can it cause high DHT symptoms in women & men? Does TN contain any DHT blockers? To have benefit of testosterone but not to worry about it going into wrong places. Started taking TH 1/2 caps am & pm for very sensitive body. TIA for your input!

Hi VM -

Great question and I hear you.

Testosterone Nutrients supports healthy:

  • formation of testosterone
  • estrogen levels and estrogen metabolism
  • SHBG levels
  • aromatase activity
  • DHT levels

The nutrients which support healthy DHT levels are:

  • luteolin (direct effect)
  • Furosap fenugreek (direct effect)
  • KSM-66 Ashwagandha (indirect light effect)

If you want to further support DHT if the above aren't sufficient for you, then consider adding:

  • stinging nettle root
  • saw palmetto

What I can say:

  • My barber is impressed with my hair thickening and density. So much so that he wants to offer Testosterone Nutrients in his barber shop as so many men struggle with thinning hair and Testosterone Nutrients is supporting healthy hair growth.*
  • When I was on testosterone replacement therapy (creams, pellets, shots), I used to get forehead acne, high estrogen and high SHBG. Now I don't get the forehead acne. I need to do lab testing on the others.

I recommend you consider:

  • 1 capsule after dinner
  • stop using the 1/2 cap twice a day - just go for 1 capsule fully after dinner.
  • stop taking the DHEA 10 mg

That may be all you need.

You want to take this when you need and stop when you don't.

You may feel you do well with 1 capsule after dinner for 2-3 days on and 4 days off and then repeat.

I'm finding this works well for me. If I wake up rested, feeling great and having a day full of energy and great sleep, I don't take a Testosterone Nutrients that evening. If the next morning I see that my sleep wasn't ideal or I'm not as productive, then I will take 1 capsule after dinner that evening. Rarely do I take 2.

Hello Dr. Lynch, I am 52 and in menopause. I started BHRT 200mg progesterone and .025 estradiol. I have very low testosterone and started the prescribed cream, but stopped it because I didn't like how it made me feel. Last night I took 1 Testosterone Nutrients and when I woke up in the middle of the night I had a headache and was dizzy. Upon waking up in the morning, I could barely wake up. I have been having this regularly since starting the progesterone, but this morning it was worse. My heads hurt and I could barely wake up. I took 1/2 glutithione upon waking and another 1/2 mid-morning. My headache became less. Is there a way for me to take this supplement to support healthy testosterone without feeling like I did? If it's helpful to know, I took the new histamine test Seeking Health offers as I have been struggling with over active histamine response for over a year now and my HNMT route is elevated, other areas are slightly elevated. So maybe I am not clearing or utilizing the testosterone nutrients? I would appreciate any advice you might have on how to support testosterone levels. Thank you!

Hi Jennifer -

Thank you for sharing.

The dizziness can be associated with the RipFactor ingredient from Testosterone Nutrients.

I'm working on figuring out why some people - including myself - are susceptible to dizziness from it.

I suspect those who are sensitive to dizziness are potentially:

  • low glutathione
  • high homocysteine
  • low to normal blood pressure already (despite my wife who takes 1 capsule of Testosterone Nutrients and does not get dizzy)
  • low folate (folinic acid)
  • high histamine
  • low cortisol
  • ?

The combination of the progesterone and estradiol compound the interactions. My wife uses progesterone cream at night and has no issues with dizziness - and progesterone actually supports many things. My wife does not take estradiol. Higher estrogen increases histamine.

I took my blood pressure when I got dizzy from Testosterone Nutrients and I found that my orthostatic blood pressure was quite pronounced. Sitting down it was normal and then when standing I got dizzy and took my blood pressure again and it was not rising - so my adrenals were not responding.

I do know that the dizziness from Testosterone Nutrients goes away when:

  • using Glutathione Plus Lozenges
  • using Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid Lozenges
  • taking the Testosterone Nutrients less often and taking breaks longer.

I'm currently taking 1 capsule of Testosterone Nutrients each evening and doing well with 1 capsule.

I think you're right - the high histamine is likely contributing.

Also - make sure your estrogen levels aren't climbing too high as that can aggravate histamine.

Histamine Nutrients is very effective at supporting healthy histamine breakdown and elimination.*

Hi, Is this product safe for a male with slightly elevated PSA? What would you recommend for prostate health?

Hi Nikki -

Great question.

I would not use this for elevated PSA.

There is a product called Ultra Prostate Formula by Life Extension that looks quite good. I'd order that and follow their suggested use.

I have been working on a prostate formulation but it's still in formulation and testing stage so it will be a year or so till it's available.

I am also modifying Testosterone Nutrients to be more supportive of healthy prostate and healthy hair as I'll be adding a trademarked saw palmetto to it.

Can someone with NAFLD and sluggish stage 2 liver detoxification comfortably and safely use this? For reference, NAC results in kidney pain for the male in question. Testosterone injections resulted in eczema and rashes for him as well.

Hi Eve -

Good question and way to be on top of it.

I would say let's first support his liver and gallbladder a bit more first before adding on further hormone support.

Consider:

  • Bile Nutrients: 2-4 capsules before dinner to support healthy bile production and flow which is necessary for healthy liver and detoxification.*
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule after dinner to support a healthy microbiome.*
  • Optimal Man: 1-2 capsules after a protein based breakfast to support overall nutrition and foundation.*
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Magnesium Plus: 1 capsule before bed to support healthy kidneys and healthy sleep.*

These should help him considerably. Do these for a month, then add in 1 capsule of Testosterone Nutrients after dinner.

Usually Nitrates, Arginine, Cialis give me dizziness after a week of taking. Blood pressure measures normal range. Will RipFactor cause the same outcome? I want to boost my tesosterone, but hoping I don't get dizziness.

Hi John -

I hear you.

The same thing happens to me I'm finding.

If I take the full 4 capsules - in divided doses - for over a month, then I get dizzy - likely due to too low blood pressure.

I find that I do well now with 1 capsule after a protein based breakfast and 1 capsule after dinner. 1 week on and 1 week off.

I'm also finding that I do well at times with every other day or just 1 capsule a day.

Optimal Man also is designed to support healthy testosterone levels - in a more mild manner compared to Testosterone Nutrients.*

Perhaps start with Optimal Man - and you should actually.

Consider:

  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules after a protein based breakfast. If needed, due to feeling a need for healthy energy or motivation in the afternoon, take another 1-2 capsules after a protein based lunch - if needed. Some days you'll need it and others you won't.
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1 capsule after a protein breakfast.

Hi Dr Lynch, I am so thankful for your knowledge and products! I found you years ago when I found out I had an MTHFR gene mutation in 2001 after having our first child at 32 weeks due to HELLP SYNDROME which my doctors thought caused my sickness. Your Homocysteine Nutrients have changed my life for the better by getting me off of Foltx which I was prescribed back then. All that to say THANK YOU! Now with my question: My husband has just been diagnosed with gynecomastia. He is on high blood pressure and cholesterol medicine and is 51 years old. He has changed his diet and working hard to get his weight back to a healthy number. He has not had his testosterone levels tested but I think they may be off and causing his symptoms. I am looking into your Optimal man and Testosterone Nutrients. Can you help with recommendations for support? Thank You

Hi Charleen -

You're welcome ;) Happy to have helped you and your family for so many years.

You're on point with your husband - I agree.

Here are some things to consider for him:

  • Glutathione Plus Lozenge: 1/2 to 1 upon waking each day to support healthy detoxification.*
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving upon waking and then another during the day sometime - say working out or during his work - sipping over time from a water bottle.
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1 capsule after a protein based breakfast and 1 capsule after a protein based dinner. Take 1 week on and 1 week off.
  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules after a protein based breakfast. If needing additional support during the afternoon, take another 1-2 capsules after a protein based lunch - only if needed. Otherwise skip.
  • Bile Nutrients: 2-4 capsules before dinner to support healthy estrogen metabolism, digestion and lipids - and bowel movements.*
  • ProBiota Bifido: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner

The Optimal Man and Testosterone Nutrients support healthy estrogen and healthy testosterone levels.*

He may need additional DIM+I3C and he'd take 1 capsule after dinner.

Other pointers:

  • eat three full meals a day each primarily protein, low carb and some fat.
  • no snacking. It's hard at first - gets easier - especially with the Testosterone Nutrients supporting him. If he wants to snack, get organic celery, carrots or just filtered water.
  • don't eat past 9 PM
  • walk after meals - especially dinner - every night - go for a walk - briskly together - that will lower his glucose fast
  • chew his food very well. The more he chews, the better he digests and the fuller he feels leading to less caloric intake.
  • drink filtered water
  • sauna a few times a week

I'm 37 and feel like I'm getting into early perimenopause. Cycles are getting slightly less predictable, heavier bleeding, and I'm a tired mom (of 3 young children). My libido is down, fatigue, occasional hot flashes/palpitations at night and just have no go-power most days, but insomnia at night!🤦‍♀️ Adrenal cortex and energy nutrients have been helpful. My question is without hormone blood testing (because everyone says I'm still young for peri), could I *try your testosterone supplement safely? My libido and energy are trash. Really I'd just like to feel alive again. TIA!

Hi Denise -

Absolutely and I agree that Testosterone Nutrients may be exactly what you're needing.

Consider:

  • using the same supplements you're currently using and finding helpful
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1 capsule after dinner. Start here for a few days. Then, if needing more support, take 1 capsule after breakfast.

Read the reviews. Many are from women and they are using just a capsule or two from what I recall reading their reviews of Testosterone Nutrients.

The serving size is 4 capsules - but as women need less testosterone than men - using just 1 capsule may be sufficient - or you may need one twice per day.

I recommend also being on it 6-8 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

During the 2 weeks off, you're still going to feel the support.

I was off of it for an entire month and still felt supported up until the very end.

I look forward to reading your review in about a month :)

You should feel a difference in just a few days - if not earlier.

In health,
Dr. Lynch

So being on Testosterone Nutrients for over a month, one thing I have noticed is that it builds up in your system quick. Couple of weeks ago I switched to two a day, then switched to one this past week. I noticed even just one a day is sufficient. Has anyone else reported that?

Hi B -

Testosterone Nutrients has been on the market such as short time so not yet.

That said, I have been taking it for about 6 months pretty consistently with some breaks. I notice the same as you. It's quite powerful.

I'm currently on a break and nearing almost a month off it. I still feel the benefits despite taking none. I find that incredibly impressive.

I do not have an explanation for it but the effects are lasting for sure.

I recommend going on a full break for 2 weeks after being on it for 6-8 weeks.

Being observant how you are feeling is key and well done.

Consider going on a full stop for 2 weeks and see how you feel.

Hi Dr Lynch I'm 30 years of age and did a recent testosterone test through Manual (UK company) My lews are low - Testosterone is 12.1 nmol/I and Free Testosterone is 0.231 nmol/I. My sex hormone is optimal and Albumin is 58g/I. They suggest i do a further test to look into this further. I do believe my symptoms must be due to some form of deficiency. I have ADHD and currently I'm taking your Dopamine nutrients which is working veyr well. Part of me fears my ADHD symptoms is caused by low T. I work an inside job and hardly get much sun light. I also have hair loss which i didn't have before until i start my ADHD medication (ritalin) which i've dropped from 30mg to 5mg since going on dopamine nutrients - I want to be completely off these meds. I don't want to jump on TRT either i want to consider all of the natural roots. Would you recommend this supplement to someone like me? Along with Vitamin D3? Anything else? Thankyou for all that you do and the natural help you provide to others. Never stop doing the amazing work that you do! Thankyou.

Hi Zachary -

I hear you and way to be aware and on top of it.

Testosterone definitely supports healthy motivation, focus, sleep as does dopamine - so you're correct in wanting to support healthy levels of both testosterone and dopamine.*

Ritalin does indeed increase dopamine and norepineprhine - which also increases stress and anxiety - which both reduce testosterone production by various mechanisms. One mechanism is DHEA is used up more to making cortisol and thus less DHEA is available to supportr testosterone.

A few things to consider:

  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving in the morning upon waking. Then another midday. Berry and Orange are the most popular.
  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules after a protein based breakfast and, if needing additional healthy energy in the afternoon, take another 2 capsules after a protein based lunch. This supports healthy testosterone levels and is a comprehensive multivitamin/mineral nutritional support for men.*
  • Dopamine Nutrients: 1-2 capsules as needed after some food. Use 5 days on with a couple days off to rest your brain.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner

Start with this.

See how you do.

Then, if needing additional support, consider:

  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after dinner. Try this only and see how you do for 1 month. If needing additional support, add in 2 capsules after breakfast and keep going with 2 capsules after dinner.
Take for 6-8 weeks on and 2 weeks off. This way your hormones respond more consistently and aren't getting out of hand.

There is 4,000 IU of vitamin D3 in 4 capsules of Optimal Man.

You may need to support with another capsule of Vitamin D3+K2 after dinner. Measure your D3 levels especially since you're inside. You may need this also if you're only taking 2 capsules of Optimal Man. And it's ok to only take 2 capsules if you feel good from that. You may feel you need 4 capsules some days and other days you may feel you don't need any. Listen to how you feel. On days you feel really good, just take a break from all supplements.

I have high cholesterol/triglycerides. Should I be concerned with dhea? I know there is mixed results it can increase cholesterol.

Hi Josh -

Good question.

I do not use a high amount of DHEA in here. It's a supportive amount.

Consider this support:

  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after breakfast and 2 after dinner
  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules after breakfast
  • Bile Nutrients: 2 capsules before dinner
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving upon waking and another midday.

This supports healthy cholesterol levels, overall health and healthy testosterone.

Hi Dr Lynch, My husband and I have almost non existent levels of testosterone. We have a history of very Low T we haven’t been able to raise for years. We also just discovered we both have MTFHR and possibly other gene mutations (not fully tested yet) My multi part question; is testosterone nutrients a supplement one would need to take for the remainder of their life?If so should we cycle off occasionally? Also I’ve read you recommend optimal man to support low T in women. Should I go that route or take testosterone nutrients? I currently struggle with histamine issues/highly sensitive body and multi vitamins seem to build up and not agree with me overtime.

Hi Brianna -

Testosterone Nutrients should be cycled and I'll be updating the product page accordingly soon.

It should be cycled 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

Multivitamins tend to build up in everyone - not just you. You're just aware of it which is excellent.

Consider:

  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after breakfast and 2 capsules after dinner for you both.
  • Optimal Man: since you're sensitive, start with just 1 capsule after breakfast. Consider taking it every other day. Your husband can start with 2 capsules after breakfast.
  • Glutathione Plus Lozenge: 1 lozenge upon waking for you both.
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving upon waking for you both and another serving midday for you both.
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule after dinner to support healthy histamine levels for you both.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner for you both.

Dr. Lynch- Complicated question here but I was surprised to see this is okay for women to take. How could that be if our testosterone should be lower than mens? If a woman has history of PCOS with high T, but now in perimenopause and lower libido could it still be good to take? I realize this may need a personal consult with labs. Maybe it would be good to use but just take 1 or 2 a day. Thank you! My husband is taking it (only been a few days). I cannot thank you enough for creating it as we have used other T products on the market and I trust very few companies out there! What we have tried did not do much.

Hi Lisa -

Yes, it seems that it's odd for women to supplement with healthy testosterone supportive nutrients but it's definitely being done and done often. :)

As women age, their testosterone levels drop - just like with men.

A history of PCOS is one thing and fine if it's no longer an issue.

Current PCOS is another and, if present, then women should not supplement with either Testosterone Nutrients or Optimal Man. (Women do use Optimal Man at times as well for more gentle testosterone support).

Your husband should notice something in about 7 days or less if taking Testosterone Nutrients consistently.

I recommend he use it this way:

  • 2 capsules after breakfast
  • 2 capsules after dinner

This way he is getting all day and all night support for healthy testosterone levels.*

Then, be on it for 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off.

I will be updating the supplement facts label on a future lot.

I also highly recommend your husband take 2 capsules of Optimal Man after his breakfast. This combination is fantastic and he'll be feeling the results. Rarely will he need the additional 2 capsules after lunch. Maybe the first week he may need two and two but I rarely do that.

For you, consider:

  • Dopamine Nutrients: 1 capsule after breakfast
  • If Dopamine Nutrients doesn't do the job, then I consider testing your hormone levels or just dive into using Testosterone Nutrients.
  • Testosterone Nutrients - consider taking 1 capsule after breakfast and 1 after dinner for you - twice a day may be needed - especially in the first month - then maybe you taper down to just 1 capsule a day.
  • the combination of Dopamine Nutrients with Testosterone Nutrients may be needed - see how each one affects you.
  • Dopamine Nutrients works within 1 hour so you'll know right away if it's helpful or not.
  • Testosterone Nutrients takes a few days to a week to feel it.
  • Optimal Man may be useful for you, too, as it does have some healthy more mild testosterone support along with a multivitamin/mineral. Consider 1-2 capsules after breakfast. You may want to use this instead of Testosterone Nutrients. You would stop your current multivitamin.

Thank you for your trust!

I do work hard to earn it. I know how easy it is to lose it - and I definitely don't take short cuts.

Is there no concern with the potential cytoxicity of Fadogia. It has no human in vivo trials that I am aware of.

Hi Chris -

Herbs are always a concern due to their vast number of naturally occurring chemical constituents in them.

Some people are more sensitive to herbs than others depending on the health of their kidneys or liver.

From what I have read, and experienced, I have seen very positive results from Fadogia.

That said, I do agree that there should be awareness of potential side effects.

I've been using Testosterone Nutrients for over a year consistently.

If one is concerned about toxicity, one can pulse the Testosterone Nutrients 8 weeks on and 2 weeks off as discussed by Huberman

Is this safe to take for fertility and while trying to conceive? For both men and women - If levels are low? Thank you so much!

Hi Jessica -

It is safe to take while trying to conceive. yes. Once you're pregnant, then discontinue.

Here's a good plan for you:

  • Optimal Man for him: 2 capsules with breakfast and 2 capsules with lunch - ideally protein meals vs carbs.
  • Optimal Prenatal: 2-3 capsules with breakfast, 2-3 with lunch and, if needed, 2 capsules around 2-3 pm if needed. You'll know if you feel sleepy, tired or low mood. If you feel great, skip that dose.
  • Testosterone Nutrients for you both: 2 capsules upon waking and 2 capsules before bed.
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1 serving a day or 2

Wishing you both the best ;)

Hello. Can this cause issues for men with prostate BPH? Thank you.

Hi Arthur

It’s possible it may worsen BPH as it supports healthy testosterone levels.

That said, I’ve been taking it for over a year and have experienced some improvement in my flow not a worsening.

I am only n of 1 and do not have BPH.

I’m working on a prostate formula. A friend of mine is testing it currently. He has high PSA. If it works, I’ll release it.

How much DHEA is there per serving? I've tried micronized DHEA in the past and had too many side effects. Curious how low of a dose this would include and if it's worth giving it a try.

Hi NC

While I can’t give exact amounts as it’s proprietary, I can say I’m aware that DHEA is powerful. It’s not a high amount at all.

I would like to share exact amounts but too many times my formulas have been completely copied by other companies.

I recommend starting with 1-2 capsules before bed.

Hi Dr Ben, I've done nicely on Optimal Male along with Dopamine Nutrients & Brain Nutrients (also like Pre-Workout) and now have your new Testosterone Nutrients formula on the way to Sydney. I've had a love/hate relationship with T-gel for some years. Keen to see if I can get myself off this with the extra support from T Nutrients. What do you think my chances are? Also - your comment about growing back hair: can you please explain this as most Testosterone boosting sups do the opposite to men. You sure have a money spinner if it is so for a majority of users.

Hi Arthur

Great to hear your success with the supplements!

Testosterone creams are terrible. They typically increase estrogen quite significantly.

Testosterone supports healthy hair growth and fullness.

DHT, a metabolite of testosterone, increases hair loss.

The DIM and luteolin support a healthy testosterone level without increasing DHT.

My barber is very impressed with how thick my hair is becoming…and my wife 😊

My barber is actually going to offer Testosterone Nutrients in his salon.

It’s kinda funny. I read your statement about ‘growing back hair’ and I thought you literally meant ‘back hair’. I was thinking, uh. no. guys don’t want more back hair.

Then, I realized you meant growing hair back!

Enjoy Testosterone Nutrients. May it “grow back hair!”

Your formulation insights mention “ Another noticeable change was my hands and feet now had healthy blood flow versus being cold.” Does this help increase blood flow throughout entire body? What ingredient is increasing blood flow? Should I discontinue other blood flow enhancers like nitric oxide lozenges?

Hi Chad -

Good question.

A number of ingredients in Testosterone Nutrients support healthy blood flow:*

  • RIPFACTOR
  • Ashwagandha
  • LJ100
  • Fenugreek
  • Luteolin

It does support whole body healthy blood flow.*

Everyone is different.

I'd monitor how your blood pressure is doing while using it. You may want to use your nitric oxide lozenges part time, fully stop or continue as you are.

So I actually started taking Testosterone Nutrients along with a few other things. As far as mood, memory, concentration, it works really well. The only problem I have noticed is some digestive issues and a few random sharp pains in the body. Is this normal? Or will these symptoms subside?

Hi Blake -

That's great to hear :)

Regarding the digestive issues, herbs can contribute to this and there are a lot of herbs in Testosterone Nutrients.

Consider:

  • Bile Nutrients: 2 capsules before dinner to support healthy gallbladder and bile production and flow which is helpful for healthy digestion.*
  • Testosterone Nutrients: try spacing out the capsules more. I find that 2 capsules before bed and 2 capsules upon waking seems to work really well for me.

Keep me posted.

I’m a 42 y/o female and recently started BHRT including compounded testosterone. Post viral issues caused me to go into perimenopause earlier than anticipated. Do I need to stop my compounded testosterone before trialing this? Your supplements have helped me with histamine intolerance and mast cell issues more than anything else (in addition to compounded progesterone). I was estrogen dominant and have gained about 15 pounds during my post viral episode that has lasted longer than I had hoped. I can’t seem to get my weight to budge despite macro counting, eating .8-1 pound of body weight in protein, intermittent fasting, etc.

Hi April -

Yes. You would need to stop or at least reduce the compounded testosterone as Testosterone Nutrients is quite complete.

Initially, testosterone may contribute to weight gain as it is anabolic - meaning building. It also supports healthy water retention so you may have more water weight.

Long term use of testosterone though is shown to support healthy lean body mass especially if one adds in exercise and lifting weights.*

I'd check your estrogen levels again. The higher estrogen may be increasing your weight. If so, consider taking DIM+I3C after dinner to support healthy estrogen levels.* And work with your doctor to adjust your BHRT as needed.

Lifting weights is really recommended.

Using 1 serving of Pre-Workout Nutrients 30 minutes prior to exercise may make your exercise a lot easier and recovery nicer.

I might have other questions later on when it comes to mind, but here is my first. I am a 33 year old male with estrogen dominance due to aromatization with testosterone on the lower end. My question is, will your mood slightly drop initially upon taking it due to estrogen lowering or balancing?

Hi Blake -

Good insight.

Estrogen dominance is associated with headaches, irritability, difficulty sleeping, mast cell activation and water retention to name a few.

The amount of estrogen support in Testosterone Nutrients is more gentle than aggressive. I do not foresee a mood drop at all.

In fact, I see a more healthy mood due to the healthy testosterone levels being supported and a gentle approach to estrogen balance.

You may want to support aromatization first before supporting with Testosterone Nutrients.

Aromatization occurs mainly due:

  • increased body fat
  • higher insulin levels

I'd consider:

  • Optimal Man first to support healthy insulin levels. Consider 2 capsules in the morning with breakfast and 2 with lunch (if needing additional support only - otherwise skip the afternoon dose).
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner to support healthy levels of inflammation
  • Acetyl L Carnitine: 1 capsule in the morning upon waking to support healthy fat metabolism
  • limit intake of carbohydrates. Eat more paleo, fruit
  • limit snacking. Snacking increases insulin throughout the day.
  • Berberine: consider 1 capsule of berberine a day. Careful with this as it can cause gut issues. Start with 250 mg or so and take with food. This supports healthy insulin levels as well - but Optimal Man may do that for you, too.
  • lift weights to burn fat and build muscle which further burns fat while you sleep.
  • go to bed on time and get sufficient sleep as not sleeping increases weight

Dr. Lynch can women with low Free Testosterone use this?

Hi Briannia -

Good question.

Yes. Anyone with low testosterone may need to support healthy levels of testosterone.*

There are nutrients and herbs in Testosterone Nutrients designed to support healthy levels of free testosterone.*

I recommend combining Testosterone Nutrients with Optimal Man in this case.

My wife sometimes jokes but is also serious when she says, "I feel I need to man up." Then she proceeds to take 2 capsules of Optimal Man with her breakfast to support her healthy T levels.*

Consider:

  • Optimal Man: 2 capsules with breakfast
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 2 capsules after breakfast and 2 capsules before bed.

I know on the label I said to take 4 capsules before bed. Upon further experimentation, I've learned I feel the best when I take 2 capsules at night before bed and 2 upon waking. I keep the bottle tightly closed in my bedroom. Humidity does not like herbs and vitamins so keep it closed.

I felt a difference in just a few days of taking which is very unlike most testosterone support supplements as they usually take a minimum of a month to feel something.
