Would this help a 13yr old(F) who has struggled with eczema on her hands since infancy? | Hi CM - I have not tested this on people with eczema. I don't think it would be that helpful but it may be - I am not positive. What I can say for eczema is that it's related often to gut health, food intolerances and chemical exposures. Consider:

Hi Dr Ben. Does this product not work for some people or are we missing a piece of the puzzle? We’ve been using the recommended dose for about three weeks now, for a teen girl , with probiotics added at night. Don’t seem to see much of a difference, it perhaps even looks a little worse now (chin and forehead, no other areas with pimples). | Hi CM - If someone is missing a piece of the puzzle, yes, it may not perform nearly as well. On the product page of Skin Nutrients, I have a section called 'Guidance from Dr. Lynch' It's very useful. Here's the copy/pasted information from there: Skin Nutrients purposely excludes certain nutrients, which are known to aggravate and promote unhealthy skin. These nutrients are vitamin B12, folate, biotin, and B6. Skin health is not achieved by putting stuff on your face. That said, supporting skin health from the outside and from the inside is highly recommended. When testing Skin Nutrients on teenagers and young adults, I did not ask them to change their diet or do anything else. Most subjects reported very quick results. The skin showed a healthy tone and moisture levels. With that, they smiled more and had a brighter outlook on life.† This led to further motivation on their part to take steps to improve their skin even more. Here are additional steps one can take to achieve healthy skin: Chlorine shower filter: Chlorine is damaging and drying to skin cells. Buy a chlorine shower filter and get it installed. You’ll also notice healthier hair from this. Change it out every 6 months. ProBiota HistaminX: A healthy microbiome is a must for healthy skin. High histamine is associated with acne and skin issues (what isn’t high histamine associated with?). Take 1 capsule after dinner every night.† Optimal Fish Oil: Take 1 capsule after dinner every night. Do you find yourself still eating junk food, drinking too much alcohol, and not very motivated? Consider Dopamine Nutrients to support a healthy response to cravings.† You may be seeking a dopamine hit from foods and drinks. These ‘dopamine hits’ are horrible for your skin, and you know that. It’s hard to curb cravings and desires when you’re low on dopamine. Some people are genetically programmed to have low dopamine. My son with acne has this issue. I first designed Skin Nutrients for him. We saw great results without any changes to his diet. I wanted him to change his diet, but that didn’t happen. I realized that he is genetically prone to low dopamine.. That drove me to formulate Dopamine Nutrients. Once he started the combination of Skin Nutrients and Dopamine Nutrients, he saw his skin's health supported. Why? He no longer had the junk food cravings. He chose to eat better. The dopamine-seeking food hits lessened.† If you’re experiencing junk food cravings and low motivation, you, too, may have low dopamine. Support healthy dopamine levels with Dopamine Nutrients.† These recommendations above, combined with Skin Nutrients, may be exactly what you or your kid desperately need.. My kid is now beaming with self-confidence and improved self-esteem. It’s amazing how important healthy skin is. In health, |
Hello, Dr. Lynch- I purchased the skin nutrients for my 12yo son who has been dealing with acne for about a year. I opted to follow with the entire stack that is recommended (minus the fish oil since we already have some). I’m second guessing the bile nutrients for him though - my question is why the bile nutrients and not the liver nutrients? Thanks! | Hi Lori - It's a good question. Bile is needed to help support a healthy microbiome.* Often kids and adults with acne have an unhealthy microbiome which contributes to inflammation and histamine - and thus skin problems. Consider:

Hi Dr. Lynch, I have been taking Skin Nutrients for about a month now and I do notice a bit of a decrease in breakouts but I am still experiencing hormonal acne around my cycle. Do you think I need liver support to help balance my hormones? | Hi Gina - You may need to add in a couple more things which is common with hormonal acne. Consider:
Give this a go - should notice a significant improvement. In health, |
I’m a 38-year-old woman dealing with significant hair thinning and loss. I took semaglutide for six months and lost 30 pounds over the course of a year (from 170 to 140 lbs). I now regret using it, as I began experiencing noticeable hair shedding during that time. I’m currently taking Thorne Basic Prenatal and have recently started experiencing acne breakouts, though I’m not certain if they’re related. My recent lab results are: • Ferritin: 53 • Vitamin D: 33 ng/mL I carry MTHFR C677T and A1298C (heterozygous) and COMT V158M (heterozygous). Would the Skin Nutrients formula be a good fit to support hair regrowth? Thank you for your time and insight | Hi Shoshanna - It is known that Ozempic contributes to hair loss. I'd evaluate your thyroid and hormones. The acne is separate likely from the hair loss. Consider switching to Prenatal Essentials MF. The high amount of methylfolate in Basic Prenatal is a likely contributor to pregnancy-related acne. Our Prenatal Essentials MF uses folinic acid which is less problematic it seems for acne. Additionally, folinic acid is very supportive for healthy hair. Our customers taking our prenatals frequently comment how much they love their hair, nails and skin while using them. While Prenatal Essentials MF contains 4,000 IU of vitamin D per serving, you likely need to get up higher and faster. Consider adding an additional capsule of Vitamin D3+K2 after any meal of the day. Consider:
Skin Nutrients is not designed for hair growth. If you're not pregnant, you can add in Bile Nutrients and take 2-4 capsules before each dinner. This is key for supporting healthy skin and liver which both are strongly negatively affected by Ozempic. In health, |
Hello! I have been looking for a multi for me and my father who both have G6PDD (Med variant). Most have ingredients at levels not appropriate but this looks promising for him as he also has T2D. This will not work for me as high levels of Vit D3 actually cause my vitiligo to spread like crazy. Anyway...I am a bit concerned about the glutathione and pushing that system too far with the impaired ability for recycling. Are the levels more supportive than activating...if that makes sense? This has been very hard to navigate as there are not may "supplements" that are available for us. Thank you! | Hi Elizabeth - I hear you. The amount of glutathione is supportive. I find that 25 mg of s-acetyl glutathione or less is well tolerated. Get more than that and issues occur such as headaches. We have significant amounts of vitamin B2 which is what recycles used up glutathione. Many are deficient in B2 and if they take glutathione, they get worse. For you, consider Multivitamin One Sensitive. The D3 is lower there. In health, |
Just a comment back THANK YOU. and YES please move the quidance way up! Maybe even in the section About the product. I read that and missed the additional info. VERY helpful. I do think something in what you should stop taking if taking any of these combo products is helpful. We take methyl one but many producta designed for an issue have so many ingredients we don’t know what to stop taking. My husband needs the T pills and I was giving him optimal man but may need to stop to clear his skin. Maybe we need T plus dopamine (that works for him) and skin. Anyway I was giving man to support him overall. PS. We greatly respect you are always improving your products and adding more!!! | Hi Lisa ;) Thank you for following up. I hear you and my team will meet to further improve our content presentation. One thing I'll share about supplements:
I take both Testosterone Nutrients and Optimal Man and have clear skin. If your husband is using prescription testosterone, that may be aggravating his skin. That is typically due to high estrogen which comes from the testosterone converting to estrogen. Both Optimal Man and Testosterone Nutrients both have healthy testosterone support and also healthy estrogen support. In health, |
Dr. Lynch- my number one question is how do we know if we still need a multivitamin if we are taking supplements - like this - which include Vit a, c, many Bs, and micronutrients?! Its a but confusing and we don’t want to over supplement. It may be helpful if you had statements on your products that said something like “if taking this you do not need multivitamin one” etc. Thanks always for your guidance! | Hi Lisa - Great point. On many product pages, including this one, there is a section called 'Guidance from Dr. Lynch' Reading these is incredibly helpful for you as I get into details and address many of the questions you ask above. You're absolutely correct that you don't want to over supplement. We are working on improving our product information. Any suggestions are welcomed. I honestly think the 'Guidance from Dr. Lynch' should possibly be first - not buried below. Here is a copy/paste of the Guidance section: Important: Skin Nutrients replaces your multivitamin, trace minerals, and B complex. Hello, Dr. Lynch! I’ve just rediscovered your products after taking a hiatus for a few years (originally recommended by my naturopath in Spokane, WA…now I’m back in San Diego). I have a few chronic issues that come and go (likely histamine sensitivity, seasonal allergies, struggled with POTS symptoms before having children). But one of my most nagging issues is my skin. I’ve had breakouts since age 12, which flare before/during periods and a bit during ovulation. I’m 38 and in fairly good health, I have 3 little boys and an active husband, so we are on the go, lots of noise, self-imposed stress, but no large stressors since the move back to CA to be near family (we miss WA!). In sum, I’ve started taking Skin Nutrients, along with Fish Oil, HistaminX, astaxanthin, and finishing up bottles of Thorne Advanced Digestive Enzymes (similar to your healthy bile supplement), a probiotic similar to your histamine-friendly version, and Optimal Magnesium in the evening. My skin is improving somewhat, but my hair is starting to shed approximately 2-3x as much as it was prior to starting this stack. Might you know why my hair shedding has increased? And do you have any suggestions for improving my skin? I tend to break out under my jawline, on my chin, sometimes upper forehead when it’s really flaring. I do think the Skin Nutrients are helping, but I’m concerned that my hair is thinning and not sure what to tweak. Help! | Hi Kate - Welcome back to Seeking Health ;) Breakouts prior to and just around ovulation typically have to do with high estrogen levels. I'd consider supporting healthy estrogen levels with DIM+I3C during this time.* Take 1 capsule after dinner starting a week prior to ovulation and then stop. Then restart as needed. We want to support healthy levels without it getting too low. Healthy estrogen levels also support a healthy response to seasonal allergies. High estrogen increases histamine. Thinning hair may be due to DHT - a type of testosterone - increasing for some reason. It also may be due to thyroid - so check that. I have not heard of anyone losing hair due to the nutrients you're taking nor do I see a relationship. I can say that there is no folate or B12 in Skin Nutrients and if you're deficient in either, that could contribute to hair loss. Make sure that the probiotic you're own is actually supportive of healthy histamine levels as probiotics can be very problematic for people. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, I’m looking for direction as to which supplements to take for my 16.5 yr old son. He’s been on Adrenal Cortex, Skin Nutrients and Stress Nutrients for nearly 4 weeks. He’s been struggling with angry inflamed acne all over his face for some time. He’s cleaned up his diet & tried a variety of natural topical treatments. He’s also been struggling deeply with motivation and not feeling rested in the morning. There are times when he only goes to school 3 days a week. He’s noted that the Stress Nutrients help him not feel so overwhelmed. Which supplements would be best to help his motivation levels, stress management and acne? Thanks so much! | Hi Anna - I hear you. Few things:
I recommend also ordering the US Biotek 96 Food Allergy IgG test to see which foods he's reacting to. These can aggravate acne. Get a chlorine shower filter - on Amazon or somewhere - and install it. Chlorine is damaging to skin. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, I am 36 years old and experiencing some symptoms associated with perimenopause (irregular but light cycles, increased sweating/body temperature prior to my cycle, sporadic insomnia, etc). I struggle with breakouts frequently throughout my cycle. Is this supplement safe to take during perimenopause? Thank you so much! | Hi Grace - Good question. I suspect you may need more progesterone support and your estrogen may be too low at times. Instead of Skin Nutrients, I think you may do best with:
This combination may help get deeper and aim for the healthy hormone detoxification which is likely needed.* Keep me posted :) In health, |
Hi, my 17 yr old daughter has been taking skin nutrients (3 with breakfast) and it has been wonderful! Her pimples were clearing up. But now over the past months her face is starting to get bad again. Should she change the dosage? Also any suggestions to help with scarring? Thanks! Lynda | Hi Lynda - I'm happy to hear that Skin Nutrients is helping your daughter! :) A few things here: When her skin is clear and healthy, she can put a pause on taking Skin Nutrients or just 1 capsule after breakfast for maintenance. When she notices her skin getting bad again, then she can support healthy skin by increasing to 2-3 capsules of Skin Nutrients and stay on that amount until her skin is healthy.* If she's not seeing success, add in Bile Nutrients and take 2-4 capsules before dinner to support healthy bile production and bile flow which is key for healthy skin and digestion.* Gut health is so important for skin health. Using 1 capsule of ProBiota HistaminX and 1 capsule of Fish Oil after dinner to further support gut health is highly recommended.* High histamine and high stress can contribute to worsening of skin health. If she's struggling with allergies or anxiety or stressors, that could be contributing to her skin conditions. If needed, consider supporting healthy stress by using Stress Nutrients 1-3 capsules after breakfast on an as-needed basis.* Hydration is key for healthy skin as well. Consider 1 to 2 servings a day of Optimal Electrolyte - berry and orange are the most popular. I like to mix them in a 1 liter water bottle with filtered water and sip over time. Great for her class time. In health, Dr. Lynch |
Can these capsules be emptied into a smoothie? My daughter does not swallow pills. | Hi MB - I do not recommend this. Instead, you can put the contents possibly into a bite of applesauce - 1 capsule per spoonful. It will taste pretty bad I suspect. Make sure she has a full meal before taking Skin Nutrients as the high amounts of zinc can cause stomach upset. There are really good instructional videos on YouTube and TikTok about how to swallow capsules. The trick is actually leaning your head forward a bit, then sipping water, then swallowing. Put a capsule on your tongue. In health, |
My 14yr old son has been taking this supplement since September 2024, along with Bile Nutrients, & Fish Oil. Skin is looking great now. We don’t want his acne to ever get as bad as it was. Going forward should we continue the 3 pills every morning or reduce dosage/frequency? Thanks so much for creating an amazing supplement. | Hi Lisa - Awesome to hear - and good for him taking action - and you for helping him! :) Have you left a review yet?! :) Please leave a review here if you haven't yet. Please don't use the word 'acne' as we cannot publish it if you do. Use words like 'dirty skin' or 'unhealthy skin' or 'pimples or zits' Some things to consider:

Hi Dr Lynch, Thank you so much for your recent feedback. I am such an admirer of your work and our home in London, UK is full of your supplements You recently said we should look at my 4 year old’s stool test as he has had a face skin rash for last couple of years , dots on his arms, skin tags and swollen , watery eyes with histamine issues during this spring time. We finally got the results back and I was wondering if you wouldn’t mind looking at these flags from it and let me know if we should adjust our supplements . He is organic, gluten free, dairy free and sugar free . Clean household products, filtered water and unvaccinated so not sure where this is coming from ?! I’d be happy to pay you and without question continue to buy all your supplements for the rest of our lives . The following markers may be of interest to you: Bacteroides fragilis - High Bacteroides fragilis is part of the normal gut and helps regulate the immune system. It helps to keep the balance of microbes in check, maintain the gut's protective barrier, and support overall neuroimmune health. Having too many of these bacteria might be due to poor digestion or constipation. Anaerobutyricum hallii - Low This bacterium is supportive of a healthy gut microbiota. Low levels may indicate dysbiosis (an imbalance in gut bacteria). Yeast - High There are some high amounts of yeast observed which may be contributing to symptoms of loose stools or yeast infections. Moderate amounts of yeast may cause issues to people with weakened immune systems. Imbalance bacteria There is an imbalance in commensal bacteria (neutral bacteria - we don't benefit from them, and they don't harm us). However, when there are insufficient levels of beneficial bacteria, they can overgrow and cause dysbiosis - imbalances in bacteria levels. Lysozyme - High The level of lysozyme is elevated in this sample. Lysozyme is a marker of a disrupted immune response in the gut. These are commonly associated with dysbiotic or pathogenic (bad) bacteria. High levels of lysozyme may occur with inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), as other non-IBD intestinal diseases with diarrhoea. Beta-glucuronidase - Low Beta-glucuronidase is produced by the gut and certain gut bacteria. Low amounts of this enzyme can occur after antibiotics and/or with dysbiosis. Low levels of this enzyme may diminish the bioavailability of many phytonutrients. Thank you so much for everything you do. | Hi Lucie - Looks like it was a good call to get his stool test done. A lot of potential there for improvement which is great. A few things to consider:
I'd consider retesting in one month and see how is doing. In health |
Hi Dr Lynch, I have had acne rosacea since I was 23, now 33 and the only thing that helps my skin stay clear is doxycycline. I have tried it all, down to two rounds of accutane. I have suspicions that I have SIBO as well due to stomach pains on my right side often after eating and severe bloat, pain, and gas... I also crave everything and cannot for the life of me even loose a pound, have no energy, lost my vitality and motivation, and have terrible skin most of the time to boot. What do you recommend with the skin nutrients? Thanks! | Hi Kayla - I hear you. Your story sounds similar to my son who I actually designed Skin Nutrients for and Dopamine Nutrients. My son had low motivation, had a sense of giving up and would sleep the day away. Acne was wrecking him. To calm his no energy and lift his mood, he would binge on carbs, sweets and junk food in general. This would feel the acne which would then feed the low motivation and low sense of pride. This led me to first designing Skin Nutrients. I knew I had to get a hold of the acne as nothing was working. Once I got the Skin Nutrients working for him, I then had to work on his dopamine levels. The Dopamine Nutrients was formulated and tested on him - in fact, both Skin Nutrients and Dopamine Nutrients were used on him first - and with great success as he has a great healthy mood and healthy skin when he takes both.* Consider:
In one week, you should notice a significant change as these support healthy skin and healthy mood.* Even faster, you should notice a change in your healthy mood in just one day of starting Dopamine Nutrients.* I look forward to reading your reviews in a month or so :) In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch, You probably don’t remember but I contacted you re my 4 year old son a few months ago. He has had skin rashes and tags since he was born. You sent me some helpful suggestions and recommended a stool test. He did well on what you recommended but we recently stopped the histamine probiotic supplement from seeking health in order to give a few weeks free before his stool test. In the last couple of days his eyes have puffed up swollen and he is non stop itching them. I’m guessing he has a problem with histamine as seasons are changing , he has 70% reduced mthfr gene. He has a very clean / organic / sugar free diet . Are there any other supplements you think he should be taking to stop his itchy eyes and facial rash or do you think it will be back under control once he is back in seeking health histamine? Is 4 ye too young for the skin supplements ? He is in quite a lot of distress with all the itching and can’t focus at nursery. Painful to see and don’t want to give pharmaceuticals. Thanks so much in advance. Lucie . | Hi Lucie - I'd go ahead and fast track the stool test and then restart the probiotics. I'd also consider the 96 Food Sensitivity Test Additionally, consider:

My child is a competitive swimmer and is struggling with acne (some cystic). He also has the MTHFR gene mutation. We've been using the Skin Nutrients but haven't seen a lot of results. He's also mentioned he has reflux after taking the supplement in the AM. Is that common? Any suggestions? | Hi Dawn - The chlorine is damaging his skin so we need to support his healthy skin. The Skin Nutrients must be taken after a full protein based breakfast. If he takes it with just a bit of food or before food, it may cause reflux. If he is taking it after his breakfast and still experiencing that, then he needs to support healthy digestion with digestive supplements.* Consider:

We have now purchased 3 bottles of the skin nutrients....I have not really seen a difference in my sons acne.....we are taking 3 x day..my daughter is also taking these. In fact my sons forehead is recently worse. I would like to request a refund or perhaps 2 complimentary months (same as refunding) to see if continuing makes a difference? I do believe we should have seen improvement after 3 bottles at 3/day? Order numbers for reference. 1398539 1420621 1431074 | Hi Lori - If your son is not improving, there are other factors at play that need to be addressed. Some thoughts:
You should have definitely seen improvement within a couple weeks. I would not continue Skin Nutrients without supporting the other areas. Please read the 'Guidance from Dr. Lynch' on the Skin Nutrients product page: Please talk with my team about your orders. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, I’m really hoping you can help me…my daughter right now specifically. I’ve read your Dirty Genes book & follow your work. Thank you!! I have boy/girl twins that are turning 13 in Feb. They both have Pyrrole disorder, MTHFR 677T allele & are under methylated. I’ve had them seeing a Functional Dr. for the past 6 years & they take compounded nutrients. Things were going pretty well after the initial reasons we started with them (constipation, perioral dermatitis & anxiety, holding heavy metals especially copper), however the amount of pills has gotten out of control & unsustainable. Asking 12 year olds to take 10/15 pills a day is impossible & makes them sick. My daughter about a year ago started having skin issues (face & back) & it’s continuing to get much worse. It’s bad. I’m doing everything I can to help her as her self esteem is plummeting seriously. Nothing is working. I saw one of your videos recently talking about skin, b12, folate etc. I looked at her am pills & she was having 1000 mcg, lowered to 800 mcg b12 every morning…along with methyltetrahydrofolate 250 mcg. I’ve decided to stop seeing the Integrative Doctor. I’ll continue on another message… | Hi Kellie - I hear you about the over supplementation. As scary as it sounds, I highly recommend pausing ALL supplements unless they are life supportive. It's key to find a full on reset baseline and go from there. It's the Soak and Scrub in Dirty Genes. Follow this. It's shocking how often I tell people this and how well they do by stopping all supplements, hopping into a sauna and just eating healthy food choices and going for walks - and staying hydrated. Take this seriously as it can be the answer. In health, |
My 19 year old daughter started taking Skin Nutrients for acne. She said her acne has gotten worse and her face has become more dry since starting this vitamin. Is it normal for her acne to get worse before it gets better? | Hi Jennifer - The dryness I can see for sure as it's designed to support healthy skin vs very oily skin.* We can support her dry skin with Fish Oil. In terms of getting worse, I think that's pointing out to her needing some additional liver support. In addition to the 3 capsules of Skin Nutrients with her protein based breakfast, consider:
Make sure she is not taking any folate or B12 or other aggravating nutrients as listed on the product page. She should not be taking any multivitamins or multiminerals as this suffices for both unless her doctor says otherwise. If she is using any skin products which dry her skin, she needs to stop using those as the supplement takes care of that. Many kids continue using the creams, ointments and other vitamins which aggravate vs help. Keep me posted. In health, |
This has made a huge difference in my 12 y.o. Daughters skin but she continued to have bumps on arms and back…she has MYHFR variant taking methylated vitamins and probiotics, but still has some constipation issues as well? What should I add? | Hi Lindsay - Awesome to hear she's improving :) If she's taking methylfolate, she should stop for now unless she absolutely needs it. It's going to make her skin worse. The probiotics may also make her skin worse if they are the wrong probiotics. I'd stop the probiotics for now as they can worsen her skin and contribute to constipation. I have a 'Guidance from Dr. Lynch' on every product page. Please read that fully on the Skin Nutrients product page. It has lots of useful additional information. Here is an excerpt: "Important: Skin Nutrients replaces your multivitamin, trace minerals and B complex. Unless advised otherwise by your health professional, stop using these. I suffer with rosacea and not just the redness the acne that comes with it as well, would this product be able to help or do you recommend another product(s)? Thank you!! Chase | Hi Chase - I do recommend Skin Nutrients, yes. I also suggest:
This provides a comprehensive approach for gut health and skin health. Rosacea is commonly associated with weak digestive powers which is why I'm including some digestive support here. If needing more support, consider adding in Histamine Digest at 1 capsule per meal or those meals or drinks which contain significant histamine. You should notice improvements within a few days. In health, |
My daughter is 19 years old and has had acne for on and off for the last six years. She does have some gut issues like nausea after eating here and there and constipation. She started taking skin nutrients two weeks ago, and it was clearing up her skin initially, and now her skin broke out even more, Also, ever since she started taking the skin nutrients she has diarrhea. What are your thoughts? Can you please advise? | Hi Tory - Gut and gallbladder/liver health are strongly associated with acne. We need to support her a bit more especially in these areas. Consider:
This should help considerably. In health, |
I’m about to go on a regimen for SIBO and candida from my naturopath. I’ve been struggling worth a lot of acne lately. Would it be beneficial to take this while I am also on antibiotics and herbals for the gut issues or should I wait and not add more things to my system while I am working on my gut? I’m getting frustrated with my skin. | Hi M - Yes you can and I have some other things for you to consider which will help support your healthy gut:*
Look at what I'm sharing here and your doctor's regimen. There may be some overlap and if so, skip what's overlapping. The Bile Nutrients and Skin Nutrients is a powerful combination for healthy skin.* In health, |
Hello Dr Lynch, I am a member and a big follower of your work. I recently did a coaching session with Dr Paul who spoke very highly of you. Thank you for everything you do. My 4 yr old son has had a red rash on his cheeks since he was 18 months old and recently , in the last 18 months , it has become almost like small clogged pore acne spots all over his arms and face . Almost like baby acne but he has had it for years and it’s not getting better. I wondered if he is too young for the skin supplements I have purchased ? He has a 70% reduced mthfr. I believe he has some histamine inflammation stuff going on and he has a very clean diet and never had sugar or dairy and rarely ever has gluten and we are totally organic but nothing seems to help his skin and filtered waters. I did food intolerance and we steer clear of those things that came up. He has super green powders and a good diet . He seems too young for acne. I wondered if anything you sell would be good for him. He has your kids chewable multi-vit currently and he takes an omega and a probiotic and not sure if I can give the skin ones as I heard vit A in little kids isn’t good as it stunts growth? Also don’t want to over supplement ! Thanks again for your advice . Lucie Ware | Hi Lucie - You're welcome and happy to help. I'd consider getting the Doctors Data GI 360 stool test and seeing what's going on there A few things to consider:
Keep me posted how he is doing. In health, |
Is this not suitable for vegans only because of the Royal Jelly or is the Vitamin D sourced from lanolin as well? Due to alpha gal allergy I'm having a difficult time finding multi-vitamins that don't contain mammal byproducts. | Hi Kerri - The vitamin D is sourced from lanolin. In health, |
Hello, I just ordered mine, and wanted to know if the vitamin A is 1,500 mcg per capsule? Or that’s divided among 3 capsules per day (500 mcg)? My second question is, I take a separate multivitamin that I really like. It has 900 mcg of vitamin A. Am I ok to take that along with Skin Nutrients? Thanks! | Hi Khadija - The vitamin A content in Skin Nutrients is 1,500 mcg per 3-capsule serving, so 500 mcg per capsule. With your multivitamin of 900 mcg, it would bring your total intake to 2,400 mcg per day. More than 3,000 mcg (10,000 IU) per day is considered too much and can cause side effects. So you're still under the limit but don't forget about food sources. Vitamin A is found in liver, so if you're eating liver or taking cod liver oil you need to add this in. You could reduce your intake of Skin Nutrients to 2 capsules instead of 3 capsules which would bring your vitamin A intake from supplements down to 1,900 mcg. Hope this helps :) |
Hello. I purchased Skin Nutrients for my 16 year old daughter in hope that it would help clear her acne. The doctor’s video explains it is fast acting, but unfortunately for us, it was not. For what length of time does an individual need to be on skin nutrients in order to see a difference? And is it okay to also take a probiotic while taking skin nutrients? | Hi Jessica - It depends on the person. From what I've seen on the 10 or so kids I've used it on, I see results and so do they typically in 48 hours. However, others may have other pathways stuck and need deeper support. I am finding that food intolerances and allergies are a big issue for people and their acne. These things increase histamine and high histamine increases acne as histamine is pro-inflammatory. Consider:
This is a more solid plan for her and will address many areas of her health. In health, |
Hi Dr. Ben, All 4 of my children (16, 20, 22, 24) have suffered from bad cystic acne since they were young teens. I have kept them away from accutane and tried to address it holistically. We finally found a program through the Natural Acne Clinic in Denver. It worked well for all of them. However, it does use active ingredients that are harsh on your skin, IMO. We are back to the drawing board. My 20yo son recently started Skin Nutrients (60 days) and Norse Organics products for acne. He says his skin is greatly improved. My 16 year old has been taking Skin Nutrients for 30 days now and has not seen much improvement. She just recently switched to the Norse Organics as well. she also has a filter on her shower head. She cannot swallow pills! we have tried all the tricks. She puts the 3 capsules in applesauce and takes it that way. Adding more pills is tricky because of this. Any thoughts or tips? FYI our diet is very clean! in addition to the skin issues, she says everything she eats makes her feel bloated so wondering if you had a product suggestion for that. She isn't constipated just bloated after eating. | Hi Brooke - As you stated, acne is an internal problem that shows itself on the outside. Putting things on the skin doesn't solve the problem fully - it just masks it. It helps to use skin care if it's quality and on point - as the skin has a microbiome that must be supported. Not being able to swallow capsules makes things difficult for sure. She's not digesting her food which makes sense as acne is mostly a gut and liver issue and then the skin becomes the detoxification organ overflow. Consider for her:
Keep me posted. In health, |
I've seen this recommended for acne. Would these skin nutrients also help with severe eczema? | Hi Christi - I have not tested it for eczema yet so I am not sure and I have not had feedback. Eczema is really associated with high histamine, liver and gallbladder. Consider:
This is a comprehensive plan to support healthy skin.* In health, |
Hello, My 12 year old daughter is struggling with acne. She’s currently just taking a probiotic and a zinc supplement as she’s just started swallowing capsules. Could starting with just one be effective? I don’t want to overwhelm her since she’s just starting supplements. | Hi Jill - Zinc is great for the skin and zinc deficiencies are commonly linked to acne. Skin Nutrients 1 capsule will be beneficial. However, it may not provide the maximum nutrients she needs for maximum benefit, but it's a good start. You have to work with her and what she's prepared to do. Pushing her will just put her off, but I feel you already figured that out :). Keep in mind that at full dose (3 capsules) her zinc intake would be 20mg. She may not need the zinc supplement if she takes the full dose of Skin Nutrients. Acne can also be related to high histamine levels, so keep this in mind as you move forward. Good luck :) Elizma Lambert (ElizmaLambert.com) |
Sorry I realized I should add what else I’m taking. We’re both on Sacc b and Probiota histaminx (I had to take antibiotics for a month not too long ago so I’ve been taking sacc b in an attempt to restore my gut). We also have folinic, b 12, and phosphatidy serene. The phosphatidyl Serene seemed to help a small amount with the irritability, but not with the feeling dehydrated part. Thanks doc! | Hi Brandon - Just saw this part. There it is. Folinic acid. That will do it - that and the B12 :) Do not use the B12 and folate - and you shouldn't as you're working to support healthy skin and acne.* The Sacc B and ProBiota HistaminX are a great add. You shouldn't use the Phosphatidyl Serine unless you need to. Once you stop the B12 and Folinic Acid, I suspect your anger stuff will go away and within a day. 2 max. That's a good test for each other :) In health, |
Hello! My fiancé and I have been taking this for 4-5 days now, and have mostly been fine but have a couple of side effects that I think are related. We’ve both noticed feeling a bit more anxious/agitated since we’ve been taking it as well as feeling slightly dehydrated despite taking electrolytes and drinking a good amount of filtered water. Is this something that has been documented by others and how would you suggest dealing with it? I’ve noticed a difference already (I get really bad dandruff and beardruff that have completely gone away!), but I’m not sure it’s worth feeling like I hate everyone 😬 | Hi Brandon - This is not something that has been brought up. I don't see how this would contribute to anxiety. Are you using Optimal Electrolyte or some other electrolyte? Most electrolytes are just high sodium and nothing else really helpful. I'd consider switching to Optimal Electrolyte. Consider:
Keep me posted. Look at your other supplements or things which you both are taking. Folate and B12 can definitely contribute to anxiousness but there are none of either of those. In health, |
Hello there! I appreciate the opportunity to ask questions as I've been struggling to figure out how to go about which supplement is more necessary. Per our wonderful naturopath, my daughter, 16, takes the Homocysteine Nutrients for low homocysteine, low white blood count and high histamine in blood. Her platlets are low so she's increased b12 and Folate by taking a full cap of homocysteine nutrients. She does really well on low dose of Sam-e and/or TMG (not more as it builds up) and her homocycsteine levels have come up. I'm trying to support her methylation with the b vitmans, as well as give her the co-factors to make SAm-e. However, she still struggles with break-outs on her chest, back and face. We eat super clean, take liver nutrients, omega-3 and use a filter as suggested (and ProActiv). I thought to try her on Skin Nutrients, but worry to come off of the homocysteine nutrients. I'd appreciate your thoughts and if it's worth a try to switch from homocysteine nutrients and move toward Skin Nutrients. Thank you sincerely for the great time and thought given to me, and others. The "question" option has been a great help to read through! :) | Hi Jenn - Homocysteine Nutrients supports healthy homocysteine levels if they are high not low.* If homocysteine is low: I would consider:
It is necessary to take B12 and folate in her situation and I suspect that in 1 month she will retest and find that her platelets are at a healthy level. In health, |
Regarding the vitamin e… I have the AG allele for gstp1 ra1695 How important is it to avoid alpha tocopherol ? Or is this a different kind of e ? Thanks! | Hi Allison - You're good to go. This also has some glutathione in the product itself which is very supportive of your SNP. In health, |
I have been getting diarrhea and itchy scalp since starting this product (August 12, 2024). It has really helped my skin, and I want to continue taking it. Will taking a higher dose of molybdenum help me process the sulfur in DIM and stop the adverse reactions? | Hi Amy - Thank you for letting me know. That's new information that I've not seen yet. Some things to consider:
This should help a lot. If needing more support, I would do as you suggested and add the Molybdenum at one capsule once a day after any meal of the day. This may be needed as you continue working on the deeper cleanse as shown above. In health, |
I was diagnosed with acne rosacea after having covid in 2022. I don't have the pustules, just inflammation and textural changes. Would this product help to calm that down? | Hi Olivia - Yes. Skin Nutrients contain antioxidants that would support healthy-looking skin. You may also want to consider Histamine Nutrients since histamine is part of the immune response when we have infections, and high histamine is associated with acne rosacea.*
Let us know how you go :) Elizma Lambert (ElizmaLambert.com) |
Hello. My son is currently taking your Skin Nutrients, Gallbladder Nutrients, and Fish oil. He is a teen and also struggles with anxiety. Any suggestions on what we could add to this regimen? We love Skin Nutrients it is working way better than Accutane and no side effects! Thank You!!!!! | Hi Lisa - It's great to hear that your son is doing so well on the Skin Nutrients :). Thank you for the feedback. Anxiety can have a few different causes. It sounds like he may be struggling with acne if Accutane was an option for him. If this is the case then his anxiety may be related to high histamine which could also result in higher dopamine. I suggest:
Don't do all of these at the same time. You are likely to find that one of these options will work best for your son. Let us know how you go :) Regards, |
I have been taking skin nutrients for about 2-3 weeks now, and have recently broken out in very itchy hives. Crossed of the usual culprits like change in diet environment, or products, and it really seems like this might be the biggest change I have made in the last couple weeks. I pair this with the probiota histiminx that I have taken for years and love (took a hiatus and recently started it up again) My question is could there be an ingredient that could cause an allergic like reaction? I don't usually get rashes hives or other strong reactions to foods or products. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated! Thanks | Hi Rachel - I am not sure which ingredients may be triggering you specifically.
I want to make sure you are taking this with a meal - ideally breakfast that is high protein and low carb. Consider:

Hi. Dr. Lynch, My 17-year-old daughter is having horrific, painful, deep acne breakouts on her chin, near her mouth, and forehead. I purchased Skin Nutrients and ProBiota HistaminX. She will start taking both this week. How do I know if she also needs the Gallbladder Nutrients? What symptoms do I look for? I’m trying to find a good balance of supplements for her that she can commit to taking daily, so I started with two. Thank you! | Hi Deb - I hear you. Let's start with these two and go from there. You should notice improvements within a couple days. If not, then add in the Gallbladder Nutrients. Consider:
This is the most thorough in case she needs more support - you can add one at a time. I also highly recommend a chlorine shower filter as chlorine damages and dries out the skin. In health, |
Hi, my daughter has had severe cystic acne for the past 4 years, to the point where we had her at the hospital because she could not breathe due to large acne in her mouth. Her dermatologist placed her on Accutane, which I was very reluctant about but at the time (I was worried about her lover) was the only thing that worked. She is now coming off this drug, but has noticed the acne coming back. I listened to Dr Lynch on a podcast where he spoke about his sons acne issue and that he had his son use a spray bottle of water mixed with a ProBiotica HistamiX tablet mixed in. I am wondering if this is still the case or whether the Skin Nutrients replaces this process. My daughter also suffers severe hay fever. As we are in Australia and we have just entered spring the pollens in the air are high, hence the hay fever has become quite bad. Is there anything you would recommend for both of these issues. Thank you in advance. | Hi Bec - Thorough question - thanks for that. Consider:
Start here and let me know how she's doing in a week or so. In health, |
Would you PLEASE make a vegan version of this? | Hi Rada - The only ingredient I see not vegan is the royal jelly from bees. This is a very important ingredient. In health, |
Can Skin Nutrients cause Lightheadedness and dizziness? Also cough? | Hi Bijan - Everyone responds differently to things. I highly recommend taking Skin Nutrients after a meal. Never take it on just a snack or an empty stomach. The high amounts of vitamins and minerals may contribute to the symptoms you stated above. Thus, by taking it after you eat a full meal, ideally breakfast (or lunch), then those side effects should greatly lessen or go away completely. In health, |
Why do you put L-leucine in stuff? My OAT says I don’t don’t metabolize it. | Hi Maddy - When blending many ingredients together, it's important to have consistent blend and flow otherwise every capsule content and bottle would have varying amounts of ingredients. The natural leucine helps with the flow. Leucine metabolism requires vitamin B6 like many amino acids do. Consider using a multivitamin or P-5-P to support healthy leucine metabolism.* In health, |
Hi there! First of all, thank you so much for your amazing supplements! My 19-year-old son has been taking the skin nutrients for about three weeks now and has noticed he is having 3 bowel movements a day vs his normal 1. Is there something in the skin nutrients that may cause detox or cause the body to eliminate more? Thank you! Can | Hi Gina - This is likely due to the sulfur containing nutrients in the formulation. As long as the bowel movements are formed, this could be a good thing. Additionally, I recommend he consider:

Hello, recently just purchased this for my 19 year old son who is a college student playing soccer. He's unfortunately breaking out more, is this typical in the beginning? He also takes Shilajit and has some gut dysbiosis that has also been a challenge. | Hi Bridgette - It's because he is playing soccer and sweating a lot. As you mentioned, gut health is very important to address. Consider:
He does this he will experience a significant improvement in many areas - including his play in soccer. ;) All three of my boys played soccer - great sport. In health, |
Is there a connection between sebum and high ldl-cholesterol/Triglycerides? If so would the nutrients in Skin Nutrients help keep them balanced? | Hi Blake - The studies look more into high levels of insulin and blood glucose. These markers are also connected to higher fats. The nutrients in Skin Nutrients are targeted to support healthy insulin and healthy glucose levels.* To support healthy fats, consider using Optimal PC at 1 capsule after dinner about 4 nights a week.* Research shows that low phosphatidylcholine is associated with fatty liver and higher triglycerides. Skin Nutrients is best taken at 3 capsules after breakfast on a daily basis. I highly recommend also adding in the Fish Oil - 1 capsule after dinner - as that also supports healthy triglycerides.* Exercise is fantastic for triglycerides as well. Consider after most of your meals to go for a 10 to 15 minute walk. This really helps support healthy glucose levels and insulin levels. In health, |
I am putting together an order but realized I may need to adjust now that I am adding acne treatment to our protocol. My ADHD 16 year old daughter has MTHFR and addiction tendencies, along with exercise induced asthma. I was getting multi one, lithium orotate and histamine nutrients but do I give her skin nutrients and your product to support cravings in place of multi one. She needs the methyl folate and B-12 and histamine support for sure. I am still learning and don't want to do much overlap or miss ordering something important. | HI Joy - Thank you for sharing those details. Here's what you may consider:
The B12 and folate may aggravate acne which is why I don't recommend it at this time. If she is deficient in these nutrients, that's different and she should use them. The electrolytes, probiotic, fish oil, histamine nutrients and glutathione are very supportive for her healthy breathing.* In health, |
Dear Doctor, Could you please give me advice about "Skin Nutrients" supplement. Will the supplement help to resolve CVI stasis dermatitis flare up? The flare up started in November 2023 and still is not under control despite using different oils and ointments, including 2% betaderm. The EVLA was done in June 2022 and veins are still sealed. I am 66 years old and currently on Ibrutinib (for CLL). Thank you. | Hi Ivone - Skin Nutrients provide zinc and antioxidants that can help with inflammation, healing, and repair, and may be of benefit with venous stasis dermatitis.* It also contains some vitamin E and C but you may want to pair Skin Nutrients with Vitamin C Plus or Liposomal Vitamin C Plus for a higher dose of vitamin C and added bioflavonoids. These nutrients help to keep blood vessels flexible and healthy.* Some other considerations: Make sure you eat plenty of bioflavonoid-rich foods such as fruits and vegetables, and keep high-salt and processed foods to a minimum. Let us know how you progress. Regards, |
Hi Dr Lynch, I was very much looking forward to utilizing the Skin Nutrients product, however the royal jelly isn't a kosher ingredient. Would there perhaps be a possibility to substitute that with something that would allow myself and Jewish community to benefit from it? Thank you for your consideration. Regarding the glutathione plus lozenge, I've been taking an NAC product lately to assist with leg pain from forming varicose veins. What would be more supportive? NAC or glutathione? I have a double mutation for the MTHFR gene. My body is super hypersensitive and usually breaks out from almost any product I take. Thank you! | Hi Amy - I don't have plans for the royal jelly being removed. It is a pretty important ingredient. If the NAC is helping, then continue. If it is not really, then I'd consider switching to the Glutathione Plus Lozenge and taking 1/2 to 1 lozenge upon waking and then another 1/2 to 1 lozenge later in the day when you feel your head needs it. Look into Hawthorn extract from Gaia Herbs to support healthy veins.* I would also consider Liposomal Vitamin C and take 1 serving up to three times a day to support healthy veins.* When flying, use the compression stockings or socks to support blood flow returning back to your heart. In health, |
Hey dr ben lynch!I have been taking the skin nutrients for a week and i have been breaking out more than usual. i’m not sure if it just from football starting and im getting acne from my sweaty helmet and chin pad. Just wondering if you had any ideas of what i can do to combat it | Hi Christopher - Football season is tough. It's definitely the helmet. Here's what I suggest:
For sport performance, consider:
My middle son played right tackle during football. His acne was worse during football due to the heat. He didn't have Skin Nutrients available until after his season. I designed it for him after as his skin was so bad. Now, if he takes it, his skin is healthy. My youngest son takes the Skin Nutrients every day and as long as he does, his skin is healthy and clear. Have a great season! In health, |
I have struggled with acne for awhile now despite living a healthy lifestyle. My thoughts are something hormonal is behind it, since all my acne came back after i stopped taking the birth control pill. I have followed your work for quite some time so when i saw this i knew i had to try it. I am only on day two now, but i have noticed that my pee is quite dark, almost orange a couple hours after taking this supplement. Is this normal? Does this mean something is working? Is it okay to continue taking this supplement? Thank you again for all that you do! | Hi Payten - The dark orange color is totally typical and associated with the B vitamins especially the riboflavin. Keep going :) I highly recommend the Gallbladder Nutrients in addition and take 2 capsules before dinner. I look forward to hearing the news on healthy skin! :) In health, |
Around when will the other Skin Nutrients for hydration and wrinkles be available? | Hi Bijan - It will be over a year as I've not tested it yet. In health, |
Can you take Skin Nutrients while taking Hydro B 12 with Folinic Acid? Currently I'm taking both. | Hi Jan - You may yes. It is not ideal though to be taking a folate and B12 if having acne as these may contribute to the problem. If deficient, then you may need to take them and then stop once your deficiency is taken care of. In health, |
Would Skin Nutrients work on hormonal acne? I’ve been struggling with cystic acne as an adult and it got so bad that only prescription meds (spironolactone) cleared it up. I don’t want to keep taking them and would like a natural approach to the root issue, which is likely a hormone imbalance. Should I take other supplements along with Skin Nutrients? Thank you in advance for your help! | Hi Abby - I'd start with taking Skin Nutrients - 3 capsules with breakfast. Additionally:
In health, |
Does this product help with blackheads/whiteheads? Does it also help with oily scalp/skin? Also does it help with lessening the appearance of wrinkles? | Hi Bijan - This supports healthy skin in those with oily skin, oily scalp or blemishes.* I highly recommend installing a chlorine shower filter on your showers at home. Chlorine is very damaging to the skin and causes increased oil production. Skin Nutrients is not designed to support skin hydration or wrinkles. I am working on another supplement specifically for this. I am also working on a probiotic that supports skin health. In health, |
I am so interested in this product because of my on and off struggles with big and hard acne around the chin/jaw. for the past month it seems nothing makes them better and i just keep getting more. it is so frustrating. i am currently working with a functional medicine provide who has me taking CDGestrodim, fish oil, sensitol, adaptocrine, and vitamin d3&k2. we are trying to get my periods regular after coming off birth control and also trying to heal my gut from chronic constipation. i have cut out gluten to help as well. i have suspected pcos. not sure if something to support my gallbladder or liver would be better? what are your thoughts with adding this product? | Hi Malorey - PCOS can definitely contribute to acne due to the hormone imbalances and blood sugar. Talk with your doctor about using 2 grams of Myo-Inositol twice daily to support healthy insulin levels.* Additionally, consider:
You will stop:

Hello Dr B. Lynch, I was looking at your web site ready to order more B Complex MF and Multivitamin MF and saw your new Skin Nutrients product. Can I take that in combination with those two daily? I also take your folate most days. I am MTHFR ++ and Comp++. I asked your team about general elements to stay clear of too with my genetics and they would not answer. Dr B. can you tell me if I need to stay away from tumeric, quercitin, glutathione, NAC, Thianine, nitric oxide and or fulvic minerals? Took one and they lit me up. | Hi Tamra - I would only use the Skin Nutrients and skip using the B Complex MF or the Multivitamin MF as the Skin Nutrients supplies all the nutrients you need. If you're looking to support healthy skin, then it's best to not take folate and B12 for a bit until you get it under control. Additionally, consider:

Hi Dr Lynch, My name is Amber and I have struggled with my health for 16 years now and have been to multiple doctors over that time. I am needing some guidance on nutrients and I have a lot of respect for what you do and your outlook on health. I have been struggling with many symptoms of dry brittle hair that sheds badly and dry, inflamed skin that breaks out sometimes and looks like dermatitis/eczema and this covers about 90% of my face. I am also really fatigued most of the time and my system seems very sluggish. I deal with a lot of brain fog too. I have been diagnosed with a leaky gut and recently did a GI MAP test and am waiting on the results of that. I eat a very whole food based diet and mainly eat paleo as that seems to work for me and I stay away from FODMAP and high histamine foods as I have SEVERE histamine issues. I feel like I do not absorb nutrients from my food well as I eat so healthy and yet I look so sick and unhealthy. I also lead a non-toxic lifestyle and do not use chemicals in my home nor on my body as I try to keep a clean lifestyle for my family. I hope that the details I have shared with you can give you some idea of what might be happening or what nutrients I might be deficient in. Any guidance or help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I have been sick for so long now and would like to be giving my body what it needs to be healthy and might be lacking. Thank you, Amber Goering [email protected] | Hi Amber - You may have already tried similar products, but here is what I suggest: And then you have to deal with the likely cause which seems to be your gut: Depending on what your GI Map results reveal and whether you do have SIBO, you may need to work with someone for more specific guidance. Regards, |
Hi, will Skin Nutrients be sold on Fullscript soon? Thanks. | Hi Paul - I certainly hope so! Push them to carry it :) In health, |
I just received my skin nutrients. I am currently taking your Hydroxo B-12 with Folinic Acid for high MCV and MCH. Can skin nutrients be taken with it? Thanks! | Hi Jan - Yes. Skin Nutrients can be taken together with Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid :). Regards, Hi Jan - Yes, you may take Skin Nutrients with it. Once your MCV and MCH normalize, stop the Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid as too much B12 and folate may contribute to acne. If deficient, I don't think they will. In health, |
Can you take this if you have pernicious anemia and give yourself daily hydroxocobalamin shots with folinic acid? Since I know you’re saying to stop b vitamins but I cannot. I also take the pqq lozenge, can I continue that if pqq is in here as well or it’s too much pqq. I notice the pqq does help significantly with my brain fog so I don’t want to stop it or under/overdose. Chronic Lyme here….thanks! | Hi Gayle You may use your PQQ lozenge in addition. I recommend using the Brain Nutrients to support your healthy brain function.* Consider 1/2 lozenge in the morning upon waking. If you need B12 and folate to support healthy blood cells, then do use the Hydroxo B12 with Folinic Acid. Skin Nutrients will still be supporting healthy skin while you’re supporting with B12 and folate. It may not work as fast. I’m not sure as I have not yet used it with someone with anemia. In health, |
I don't see a full list of ingredients. Unfortunately my son is allergic to echinachea and elderberry. Does this have them or anything related? | Hi Angela The full ingredients are shown in the images. Tap the additional images and you will see them. There are no herbs in this supplement. No elderberry or echinacea. In health, |
Does this help blackheads? | Hi Blake - Skin Nutrients supports healthy skin and healthy oils.* I'd definitely give it a shot. If it doesn't work for you, ask for a refund. You should notice within a few days if it's helping or not. In health, |
Hello Dr. Lynch. Recently we found out that my son is allergic to lanolin. Is the Vitamin D in this product derived from sheep’s wool? Thank you! | Hi Lisa - Interesting. Yes - sadly a lot of vitamin D is derived from sheep's wool lanolin. In health, |
when is this expected back in stock??? I have been waiting for a while! My son's acne is getting out of control and we are desperate! | Hi Brooke - You and me both! It's frustrating for sure. Apparently this is a very difficult formulation to make for our manufacturers. It has shipped and is undergoing third party testing as we speak. Once we find it has met label claim, we will release it for sale. I'm expecting Aug 7th or so for it to be released. In the meantime, I highly recommend your son to start supporting his healthy skin with:
Those are foundational and should be used alongside Skin Nutrients for those with problematic skin as they support healthy skin from other angles.* Does he have sugar cravings, low motivation or low mood? If so, that may be low dopamine. Support healthy dopamine with:*
Eating healthfully is a must and those with acne tend to eat poorly and that tends to be due to low dopamine. I'm pushing to get Skin Nutrients in here. The above will support him as well - then once Skin Nutrients gets added to his day, he'll see marked improvement in 48 hours. In health, |
Thank you very much for your answer. You don't know how much it's appreciated. I will try your advice. I have acne since I was a teenager. I did everything to get rid of it and I have a very healthy lifestyle. I'm in very good health and good gut but I think maybe a little bit of fatigue with low dopamine. Thank you for the information on the Dopamine Nutrients it's all me, but you said that B6 can aggravated acne? So I'm a little bit scared to take it. And I like your electrolyte product but it has monk fruit and I try to avoid sugar for my acne? But do you think that I can have high histamine and problem with my gallbladder without symptoms? I think it may be genetic because my sister and mom don't have great skin but that much more than me. I just want to know if they have some gene that can affect the skin and acne specifically? And which test I can do to confirm? Do you have a blog - article -video that I can read or watch because it's hard to find. And my last question, is to know what do you think about collagen for the flexibility of the skin, wrinkles, acne scar, it's very confusing all the information on the internet. Thank you very much | Hi Catherine - You're welcome. I struggled with acne as well. It's heavy on the soul. It's about balance and degree of benefit. The B6 and monk fruit are totally fine as their function far outweighs the negatives. People can have high histamine and gallbladder issues without 'symptoms' because they are not familiar with the subtle symptoms - only the more serious ones. Collagen for the skin is great - especially Type II collagen. I am currently working on another skin supplement that will likely be released next year - as I've not tested it yet. Skin Nutrients is supposed to be here - finally -end of this month. Frustrated that it's taken so long to get here. Soon :) In health, |
Hi! When the product will be available? And do you thinks it's necessity to take probiotics specifically for acne (adult) Thanks | Hi Catherine - I checked on this today because I'm losing my patience :) Current status is end of July arrival. Apparently, Skin Nutrients is a difficult formulation for manufacturers to make so that's why the delays. Acne, regardless of age, needs to have gut support. Acne is usually connected to an overwhelmed liver and sluggish gallbladder - which are usually due to an unhealthy microbiome. Consider starting these now and adding in Skin Nutrients when it arrives:
If you're finding yourself gravitating towards carbs, low motivation and low mood, consider Dopamine Nutrients at 1-2 capsules with a protein based breakfast to support healthy dopamine levels.* Low dopamine is associated with eating unhealthy foods which are tied to unhealthy skin and acne. We tend to eat these spiking dopamine foods to make us feel better - and they do - for a short amount of time only to drop our dopamine levels further. In health, |
I was wondering if Vit A toxicity would be a concern overtime taking such a the dose in Skin Nutrients? Thanks. | Hi Michele - No. There's only 5,000 iu of vitamin A which is far from a toxic dose. In health, |
Hi, I 'm in my sixties and have acne. I also have high histamines and Gerd. Would this supplement work for me? Also wondering if the ox bile 125 enzyme is a good one for me. I don't have a Gallbladder. Thanks! | Hi Jan - I do recommend Skin Nutrients for you, yes, once it arrives. Take 3 capsules with a protein based breakfast. Until then, I'd introduce these:
You can use the Ox Bile 125 with higher fat meals. I would not use it that often. The Gallbladder Nutrients should do the job for you. You may need 2, 3 or 4 capsules of Gallbladder Nutrients before dinner. It depends on how much you eat and how much fat you are eating. I'd also get a chlorine shower filter from your local hardware store or on Amazon. This is important for healthy skin. Chlorine damages skin and contributes to acne. In health, |
Hello to my favorite Dr. Lynch! My son’s dermatologist wants to put him on accutane now. He is only 13 and I am scared for him to take it. Having said that would this be a good start to help his acne problem? It’s been a battle no matter what we had tried and dermatology has given very bad advice. Doxycycline reaction sent him to the ER. Thank you for your help! | Hi Lisa - Yes, high dose vitamin A can be problematic for the liver. Here's what I recommend to support your son's healthy skin:
He will NOT use a multivitamin or B complex in addition to Skin Nutrients. I repeat - do not use another multivitamin or B complex or trace mineral blend. This is carefully crafted to be a multivitamin/multimineral for those with problem skin.
He should notice improvement within a couple days time. Other things: Buy a chlorine shower filter for him. Chlorine is damaging to skin - dries it out and makes more oils. Watch sugar intake and carbs. High sugar and carbs drive up insulin and insulin is inflammatory - and causes skin issues. I have nutrients to support healthy blood sugar in the Skin Nutrients but teenagers can overwhelm themselves with carbs and sugar.* If he is eating crappy foods and drinks and sugary nonsense foods, low motivation and low mood, then he needs healthy dopamine support with Dopamine Nutrients. Taking 1-2 capsules of Dopamine Nutrients in the morning helps with healthy food choices, healthy motivation and healthy upbeat moods.* He will experience a smile returning to his face and his confidence will return as well - soon ;) In health, |
Can you specify how much DIM, PQQ and Vitamin K2 are in this separately? | Hi Alexandra - They are proprietary in order to protect the formulation. I don't like having to do this but my formulations are being copied so I have to protect them. I can say that these nutrients are definitely in sufficient amounts to support healthy skin. Will the Niacin in this cause skin flushing? | Hi Alexandra - No. I used the non flushing form. In health |
I absolutely love the idea of this, but my concern is the excess amount of Vitamin D and Zinc in this, both of which are known to trigger acne. Any chance you can revise the formula to lower these to the RDA? | Hi Alexandra - I've done lots of research on skin health, One needs sufficient D3 and zinc - lots of them. I am not going to revise the formulation as it already has proven itself extremely effective in numerous people. In health, |
I am desperately searching for a prenatal vitamin without biotin since I am acne prone. Is this safe to take as a prenatal? Would purchasing folate with B12 be sufficient to add since those are missing from the skin nutrients? Is there anything else I should get as well? It's been impossible to find an acne safe prenatal.. please help! | Hi Dina - I hear you. That is tough. I do not think Skin Nutrients is suitable for pregnancy. The high dose Niacin is not recommended. I would use the Prenatal Essentials MF - but we are out of stock at the moment sadly. I'd also use ProBiota HistaminX after dinner In the morning, upon rising, I'd use a lozenge of Glutathione Plus and one more key ingredient - Optimal PC to support liver and gallbladder health - and baby's development These supplements are definitely supportive of healthy skin - and the safest for you while pregnant. Congratulations by the way :) In health, |
My tongue is discolored, whitish coating, assumed my liver is sluggish so I was considering liver nutrients and/or gallbladder nutrients.. could I opt for this one instead? I do have some breakouts I'd love to stop, and buying 1x skin nutrients is a lot more afofrdable than liver, gallbladder, histamine (nutrients) and histamine digest.. | Hi Sara - A white coating means your digestion is sluggish. A yellow coating means your liver and gallbladder are sluggish. Consider:
Skin Nutrients will be great for you once it is available. It doubles as a multivitamin as well so you will not need a multivitamin when you're using it. In the meantime, I'd continue using Gallbladder Nutrients and I'd add ProBiota HistaminX 1 capsule after dinner. You can pause the Liver Nutrients for now. Take the Histamine Nutrients and Histamine Digest only as needed. Try without and see how you do. In health, |
