Saccharomyces Boulardii Dr. Lynch product Q&AUpdated 3 hours ago

Question
Answer
Saccharomyces Boulardii I took Saccharomyces Boulardii every day and it was harmful to me. It gave me a huge bloated stomach and severe stomach pain and constipation. Saccharomyces Boulardii What is the reason why Saccharomyces Boulardii gave me terrible stomach pain and severe bloating?

Hi Bachi -

This can be caused by any probiotic or prebiotics or even postbiotics.

Commonly this is caused by what's called 'remodeling'.

This is why some health professionals suggest introducing probiotics more gradually through a phased approach. Say 1 capsule every few days to see how the person responds.

It may also be due to SIBO but Saccharomyces Boulardii is typically associated with supporting a healthy microbiome in those with SIBO.*

For now, I'd consider:

  • pausing for as long as you need to feel good again - typically a few days to a week.
  • reintroduce 1 capsule in the morning before eating food - best taken away from food by about 30 minutes or so.
  • take it every few days - or when you don't experience bloating, you can take it again.

Hey Doc, hope you are well. Over a year ago I started taking Mythelated Vitamins after finding out I was mthfr homozygous. I had a massive crash and burnt through every mineral. I have struggled to recover and rebuild myself. I have lots of gut issues now as well and never did before. I just read your book and trying to think about spot cleaning and multivitamin. I'm also slow comt. Haven't tested any other variants. Looking for advice on stomache cleanse and rebuild and vitamin mineral rebuild. I'm currently taking glutathione and testosterone Nutrients. Thank you!!!

Hi Frank -

I'm good overall thank you :)

I'm glad you asked about the methylated vitamins and MTHFR. This is a common issue and so many are hurting themselves due to influencers pushing genetic testing followed by their supplements. It is just horrible. Great business model but it's hurting so many.

As you're reading through Dirty Genes, really focus on the Soak and Scrub. Go step by step through that. It will take some time but you'll get better.

A key thing to do is get off most supplements - as many supplements can actually aggravate your symptoms.

I'm not sure what stomach symptoms you're struggling with so it's hard for me to give some good support here.

I can say a few foundational digestive support supplements are generally well tolerated with a positive outcome.

Consider:

  • Saccharomyces Boulardii: 1 capsule upon waking
  • Optimal Man: 1 capsule after a protein based breakfast. Just 1 capsule.
  • Bile Nutrients: 2 to 4 capsules before dinner to support a healthy digestion.*
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Testosterone Nutrients: 1 capsule after dinner - just 1 for now.
  • Gut Nutrients: 3 capsules before bed away from food by about 1 hr.

Additionally:

  • pause the glutathione for now. give it a month - then take that every 3rd day once you restart.
  • follow the guidance of the recipe / meal structure for slow COMT and a dirty DAO.

Keep me posted.

My now three year old has had multiple ear infections between the ages of one and 2.5. I knew nothing of the harm to gut biome at the time, should I supplement her with this and if so how long for? And is it suitable for a three year old? Also is this compatible with people following a low histamine diet and good for exposure to mold in the home?

Hi Hayley -

These are common in young kids for various reasons.

Consider:

  • dairy free for now - no cow dairy at all - no cheese, milk, yogurt, ice cream
  • consider goat dairy products instead - this is typically better tolerated.
  • ProBiota HistaminX: put capsule in a bite of applesauce and have them swallow that in the morning. Ideally try to give it to her without opening the capsule as it will survive better.
  • Glutathione Plus Lozenge: 1/4 to 1/2 a lozenge upon waking to support healthy detoxification from mold.*
  • Optimal Electrolyte: 1/2 a scoop in a glass of filtered water any time of the day. Can put in a water bottle. Kids love orange and berry the most.

Hello :) I wondered if you could have any advice on which probotics to get for crohn's disease and colitis. I do stuggle with histime stuff at times, but am also open to try other ones too. Many thanks in advance!

Hi Emma -

This is a great guide on Leaky Gut:
https://cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0010/0250/4310/files/Leaky_Gut_Guide_2.pdf?v=1753916449

Consider these supplement suggestions to support a healthy intestine and colon:*

  • Gut Nutrients: 3 capsules upon waking and 3 before bed
  • Saccharomyces Boulardii: 1-2 capsules upon waking
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule upon waking
  • Histamine Digest: 1 capsule with each meal
  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • CoreBiome TryButyrin: 1-2 capsules after dinner. I don't offer it but you can get it here - https://amzn.to/4mGPv2c

You should notice some changes within a day or two.

I recommend reading the Leaky Gut Guide a few times and really implement the ones that make the most sense for you to do.

I wish you well!

Would this be helpful in treating SIFO? I make cultured yogurt with L. Reuteri and was contemplating adding this either into the cultured yogurt or taking separately if it is a good choice for resistant candida overgrowth. Thanks! ~Stephanie

Hi Stephanie -

This is a great choice to support a healthy microbiome. I'd take it separately in the morning upon waking vs putting in the yogurt.

That said, you may be on to something putting it in the yogurt.

Consider both options and see which one works best for you.

Additionally, support a healthy gut microbiome further with:

  • Bile Nutrients: 2 capsules before dinner
  • Ox Bile: 1 capsule before bed away from food
  • Glutathione Plus Lozenge: 1/2 to 1 lozenge in the morning upon waking to support healthy detoxification of yeast die-off.*

My 18 year old son was on multiple rounds of antibiotics last year between September and November. Since then he has gained about 20 pounds. He has tried cutting back on food and working out and walking consistently and is unable to lose weight. I believe it is due to the antibiotics that he was prescribed for his sinus infection that it didn’t help resolve. He ended up having surgery anyway. Do you believe that the antibiotics could have contributed to the weight gain and what do you recommend to help rebuild his microbiome and possibly help with the weight gain. He also has MTHFR.

Hi Soraya -

Sorry to hear he is struggling with this.

Antibiotics wreck the gut which leads to gut inflammation. The inflammation leads to excessive appetite, water retention and ultimately weight gain.

By supporting a healthy gut, and a healthy microbiome, the inflammation will reduce, appetite go down and his weight as well.

I absolutely believe the antibiotics initiated the weight gain - 100%.

You stated prior that he had fungal sinusitis - and he should be prescribed antifungals for this - not antibiotics. He needs antifungals:

"A study by Mehta et al suggested that itraconazole may be as effective as amphotericin B in the treatment of chronic invasive fungal sinusitis. In a prospective, randomized, unblinded study of 26 immunocompetent patients, one group (10 patients) was treated with amphotericin B and the other (16 patients) with itraconazole. A complete cure was achieved in two patients in the amphotericin-B group and five in the itraconazole group, while four amphotericin-B patients and seven itraconazole patients experienced persistent disease, and one amphotericin-B patient and three itraconazole patients had relapses. In addition, three patients died, and one was lost to follow-up. Based on relative risk analysis, the investigators concluded that itraconazole and amphotericin B worked equally well against chronic invasive fungal sinusitis."

Is this a good choice for taking daily for IBS-D in place of my current probiotic? If so- just one capsule in the morning? Or after a meal? Thanks!

Hi Kristin -

This is a good choice to support healthy bowel movements, yes.*

Consider:

  • Saccharomyces Boulardii: 1 capsule in the morning upon waking. You may take as needed. Some take 2 capsules a day. Take before food by about 30 minutes.
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule in the morning upon waking. You may take as needed. Some take 2 capsules a day. Take before food by about 30 minutes.
  • Gut Nutrients capsules: 4 capsules before bed

This is a more robust approach to support healthy bowel movements.*

Hi, I am concerned about the extremely hot summer temperatures for shipping? Will this be affected in any way if it is shipped in extreme heat? We are having unprecedented extreme temperatures here where I live. I know that you offer a cold pack, but I'm not sure that would last long enough during the shipping process? What temperatures are safe for shipping this probiotic? Also, does this need to be refrigerated after opening? Thank you!

Hi Chelsea -

We use a specialized container that has been tested for shipping during high temperatures.

Our probiotics are safe to order without an ice pack during hot months as we use an expensive CSP vial container.

As you'll see, our containers are unique in their shape and that is because of their functionality in terms of protecting enzymes and probiotics.

Hi, I have a leaky gut that I am trying to repair, with many food allergies. I had a round of antibiotics a few months ago. I am currently taking your histamine probiotic, should I add this probiotic, too, to aid gut repair, or is this strain a potential allergen? Thanks!

Hi Bob -

Yes - this is smart to do or a month or two. Take along with the ProBiota HistaminX in the morning upon waking with a glass of filtered water or a glass of Optimal Electrolyte would be even more supportive.

Hello! I ordered this for use during antibiotic treatment of my 3 year old and 22 month old. My 22 month old is on your histamine x probiotic for the past month (thank you for your response to my question on that supplement). Should I stop the histamine x probiotic and only do this one during his antibiotic course? Or do both? Would my daughter need any other probiotic strains for support? She was not previously on any probiotic supplement. Thank you so much for your support

Hi Chanel -

I would keep going on the probiotic along with the Saccharomyces Boulardii.

Give the ProBiota HistaminX many hours away from the antibiotic. Consider if taking the antibiotic in the evening, take the ProBiota HistaminX in the morning after breakfast.

I believe the combination of ProBiota HistaminX (or ProBiota Bifido) along with Saccharomyces Boulardii are sufficient probiotic support for them.

After using a bottle of ProBiota HistaminX, consider switching to ProBiota Bifido to introduce some additional healthy strains.

Hi Ben, I have been taking SH Saccharomyces Boulardii for about 7 - 10 days and am having some detox symptoms (bloating, fatigue and white coating on my tongue). I'm going to take Activated Charcoal to deal with the detoxing but am wondering about timing. I take SB with my evening meal and thought I'd take the AC a few hours later. I noticed you advised someone here to take them together at bedtime. I'm wondering if letting the SB get to work for a while and then taking the AC later would be more beneficial? Also, I usually take AC with a big glass of water which I wouldn't want to do at bedtime!

Hi Helen -

I'd experiment with it and see how you feel. I'm not sure what's best here - together or separate.

I'd also consider adding Digestive Enzymes - 2 capsules - with each meal - and possibly Bile Nutrients - 2-4 capsules before dinner.

Hello Dr. Lynch, I suspect that I have had SIBO for about a year, following the removal of a large precancerous colon polyp (sissile serrated lesion). I am working on getting tested - initially my gastro said no… I have been curbing symptoms with HCL, digestive enzymes and probiotics. Unfortunately, I have only recently learned that S Boulardii is the strain I should be taking, so I’m going to start that immediately. In the meantime, I had a baby. :) He is two weeks old and I am very worried that my compromised gut has set him up for some GI issues. His poop has the watery consistency of diarrhea, but he isn’t dehydrated because he pees often. The poop looks separated and curdled- like water and then curdles. There also appears to be some mucus. It’s yellow like it should be and smells kind of sweet like it should but I am still worried about the separation and watery consistency. He is exclusively breastfed. I’m wondering if me taking S, Boulardii will help him or if he needs something else? Four days ago I started him on a baby probiotic by Gaia that uses L. Reuteri. Any insight is appreciated! Thanks, Kate

Hi Katherine -

Congratulations on your baby! :)

Newborn baby poop is pretty messy.

Their digestion is pretty weak at this point.

I like the changes you made - the probiotic for you and him - good choices.

If he starts getting colic or reflux, I'd add in Lactase Drops for him. Just before feeding, you can put a few drops of Lactase Drops right into his mouth or put some drops on your areola right before feeding.

Often times colic and reflux is due to lactose overload as babies have a hard time digesting it.

For you, in addition to the S. Boulardii, I'd consider:

  • Bile Nutrients: 2 capsules before dinner to support a healthy gut environment which is unfavorable to SIBO.* This is safe during breastfeeding and often pregnancy makes the gallbladder worse.

Hi Dr. Lynch, I am a 45 year old female with loose or inconsistent stool 1x in morning after wakeup for the past 2 months. This has happened in the past but has gone away. No other symptoms other than some anxiety/ stress which is either caused by my symptoms or causes my symptoms . Diet is good, exercise, sun, etc. I tried Saccharomyces Boulardii but it did not work. Do you recommend Probiota HistamineX or something else to help support a normal BM? Please advise, I would love to hear from you.

Hi Jennifer -

This sounds like IBS which is triggered by stress - and you're right - leaky gut can feed forward stress as well.

Consider:

  • Stress Nutrients: 3 capsules with a protein based breakfast
  • Digestive Enzymes: 2 capsules with each meal
  • Bile Nutrients: 2 to 4 capsules before dinner
  • ProBiota Bifido: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Gut Nutrients: 3 capsules before sleep

This comprehensive support addresses multiple areas to support healthy bowel movements and a healthy mood.*

You should experience improvements within 24 hours.

Have IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth).. severe stomach pain after taking Saccharomyces. On Amoxicillin for UTI as well... Not sure what happened.. was taking an antibiotic.. Amoxicillin for a few days and decided to chase the it with Saccharayces Boulardi... I have taken Saccharamyces Boulardi in the past with no issue.... Took it this morning on an empty stomach and after about 30 minutes or so... I started to get major stomach pains.. I have something called IMO (Intestinal Methanogen Overgrowth) - high methane levels almost constantly... even with an empty stomach and fasting... which led to slow motility... Thinking maybe the antibiotics wrecked my stomach.. Had food poisoning many years ago.. and discovered recently I have a sensitivity to gluten and fructans.. which probably feeds methane... Have never been t he same since food poisoning incident.. I also started taking something called Atrantil... which is supposed to inhibit methanogens from feeding off hydrogen.. I use a food marble device to monitor my methane and hydrogen levels.. Very seldom does the device show hydrogen levels.. almost always methane.. I took Saccharomyces on an empty stomach but drank coffee with it... Noteworthy... I have been alternating Probiota HistaminX and Probiota Bifo as well with no issues.. Probiota Bifido seems to work best... Thinking my stomach lining isn't very healthy right now.. so maybe the reason why Saccharomyces didn't work well for me this time.. I've taken in the past... when I wasn't on antibiotics.. and it worked fine... Odd that it is now giving me issues now... Drinking lots of water right now.. with heating pad on abdomen.. seems to be helping quite a bit...

Hi Angela -

Let's make some adjustments that may help.

Consider:

  • Gut Nutrients: 3 capsules upon waking and 3 before bed to support a healthy gut lining.*
  • Bile Nutrients: 2 to 4 capsules before dinner to support healthy gut motility and bile production and flow - which get interrupted from medications and food poisoning.*
  • Liver Nutrients: 1 capsule after dinner
  • ProBiota Bifido: 1 capsule after dinner

Let's pause the S. Boulardii for a month until the above are in play.

I agree we should consider reintroducing it but I don't want to trigger anything again.

I never like giving probiotics in the morning especially on an empty stomach. Coffee on an empty stomach is also pretty gnarly :)

This should help significantly.

Hi! What do you think about the Saccharomyces Boulardii for kids under 4 with frequent antibiotic use?

Hi Anna -

I think that's smart.

Use the Saccharomyces Boulardii while on antibiotics and take 1 capsule after dinner. If needed, open the capsule and put the contents onto a bite of food.

I'd also use ProBiota HistaminX between antibiotic use.

Hi, Dr. Lynch. My 20 year old son took this the other night and had insomnia and some anxiety. He's had a similar response in the past to L. reuteri but does well with a 4 strain probiotic he's taken for years. Working now with a IFM doctor, my son has leaky gut, candida, and has many biomarkers of GI inflammation. Do you know why a person would not respond well to saccharomyces boulardii? Thanks so much.

Hi Kim -

The microbiome is an entirely new world and the interactions there are so complex.

My thinking is your son may have yeast overgrowth and the S. boulardii supports a healthy yeast balance.*

So perhaps the unhealthy yeast died off and triggered inflammation and thus emotional and sleep disturbances.

I'd consider gut binders which I am not well versed in. Activated charcoal may be something to consider as you continue working on his gut health.

I'd consider:

  • Gut Nutrients: 3 capsules before bed and 3 upon waking
  • Activated charcoal
  • Gallbladder Nutrients: 2 capsules before dinner for a week then increase to 4 capsules before dinner
  • S. Boulardii take right before bed along with the Activated Charcoal.

Hi there! Someone recommended this product when I asked in a Facebook group about Candida. I believe I have it because I had to take around the antibiotics after two teeth extractions. My question is since it's based on yeast is it okay to take Saccharomyces Boulardii? TYSM

Hi Lore -

Yep.

This is a beneficial yeast which candida does not appreciate. They compete against each other.

I suggest taking 1 capsule after dinner or before bed.

A die-off reaction may occur so taking before bed is suggested so you sleep through it.

You may also want to take some activated charcoal with it to bind the yeast die-off while sleeping.

Additionally, consider:

  • Gallbladder Nutrients: 2 capsules before dinner
  • ProBiota HistaminX: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Glutathione Plus lozenge: 1/2 to 1 lozenge in the morning upon waking to support healthy detoxification needed due to the die-off.*

In health,
Dr. Lynch

Can you take this with the Glutathione lozenge (1/4 tab) if getting stomach upset and indigestion? Can it be taken with Histamine Digest and Magnesium?

Hi CG -

I suggest taking the Saccharomyces Boulardii after dinner.

Histamine Digest with any meal needed.

Magnesium anytime of day or night.

Is it expected for Candida symptoms to get worse before getting better with this? My 7 year old son with ASD has been in it for 2 weeks and his sleep has been really off. He takes one in the morning. No other changes except he also started your kids multi MF. Getting to sleep is fine but he’s up for hours in the night. Getting stuck in his head with repetitive thoughts, too. Thank you for any insight.

Hi Jen -

I suspect it's the Kids Multivitamin not the Saccharomyces Boulardii.

Consider:

  • Kids Chewable Multivitamin MF: use only 1/4 to 1/2 a chewable with breakfast ONLY in the mornings he seems to be needing more healthy energy and healthy mood.* I'd consider using 1/2 chewable with a protein based breakfast every 3 days for now - and do not give him another serving until 3 days from now and give 1/2 of what you gave him prior.
  • People are trained to think they need a multivitamin every day. That's not the case. They also think they need the full amount every day. That's also not the case. Use as needed, when needed, in the amount needed.

In time, you and he will know how much he needs and when.

I'd also consider:

  • Fish Oil: 1 capsule after dinner
  • Glutathione Plus Lozenge: 1/4 to 1/2 a lozenge first thing upon waking to support healthy glutathione levels - which many with ASH are in need of.*

In health,
Dr. Lynch

Is this probiotic good for someone who has a Candida issue, Recent c diff and frequent UTIs? If you would have a better suggestion in your line of products, that would be helpful as well.

Hi John -

You nailed it - this is the best suited one.

Hello, I have been using Saccharomyces Boulardii for over a week now, taking 1 capsule after dinner. After taking the Gut Health webinar, I started the gut health protocol: 2 Gallbladder Nutrients before dinner (I also take 2 at lunch), 1 Histamine Digest at dinner, Saccaromyces Boulardii after dinner with also Probiota HistaminX. I added in Opitimal GI capsules 3 at bedtime 3 in the morning as I was having constipation. I have been on Opitmal GI for a week now. I just started having small bowel movements. I wanted to take Saccaromyces Boulardii because I have been treating mold and candida and I thought it would be a good idea to replace the good bacteria. I have been having histamine reactions around my eyes and lips, itching and red. I upped my Vitamin B12 incase of a B Vitamin deficiency. I was on the low end of Vitamin B 12 but not deficient. I can not get my eyes and lips to stop being so very irritated. I am wondering if I could be having Herx reaction to the Saccharomyces Boulardii? Is that possible? Could it be replacing good bacteria and the candida is reacting causing my eyes and lips and sometimes skin to itch continuously? Sometimes taking Histaminx helps with the itching but I am cautious of taking too much of the histamine supplements as I have been constipated.

Hi Jennifer -

I would like to figure out what the itching is caused by.

I would add in Calcium D Glucarate and take 1 capsule with dinner.
https://www.seekinghealth.com/products/calcium-d-glucarate-60-capsules

This supports healthy glucoronidation which is a major detoxification pathway and also supports a healthy bowel movement.*

I would stop the Optimal GI for now if you are thinking that may be causing the itchiness - but I'm not sure why it would. Regardless, try stopping to see if the itching goes away.

You may also want to stop using Histamine Digest and ProBiota HistaminX if you are struggling with constipation. At least for a week to see how you are doing.

The Calcium-D-Glucarate should really help you have a healthy bowel movement.*

I do not think the S. Boulardii is causing the redness or itchiness.

In one of your Q&As about Saccharomyces Boulardii it says “ In patients with SIBO, S. boulardii CNCM I-745 reduced bacterial overgrowth and improved digestive symptoms while restoring the intestinal microbiota.” Does Seeking Health Saccharomyces Boulardii use the CNCM I-745 strain? If not which strain?

Hi SS -

We do not use that strain.

That said, I do know we have had good results from the strain we are using for people.

I have not found this strain currently and am looking for it.

If you cannot find the CNCM strain, I'd use ours as I suspect you should still experience support.

I'm so happy seaking health has added this probiotic to their supplements. I've been using it since childhood, since in France doctors used to give it automatically with antibiotics to diminishe their side effects. It is also very well known to protect from contaminated food when travelling in not so clean areas and help with diahrrea. I have 2 questions: can it help in treating high levels of helictobacter pylori, and can it cause constipation?

Hi Cecile -

Europe is far ahead of our doctors here in the USA when it comes to prescribing probiotics with antibiotics.

Saccharomycyes Boulardii did support those on triple antibiotic therapy for H pylori but it didn't support H pylori treatment by itself:
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC4017538/

Zinc Carnosine is supportive of healthy H pylori levels.
https://www.naturalmedicinejournal.com/journal/nutrient-profile-zinc-carnosine

Consider Optimal GI which has 75 mg of zinc carnosine per serving in it to support healthy H pylori levels.*

Research shows that 75 mg of zinc carnosine is needed twice per day. So consider 1 serving of Optimal GI capsules upon waking in the morning on an empty stomach. Then consider a capsule of Zinc Carnosine before bed.

Here is Zinc Carnosine:
https://www.seekinghealth.com/products/zinc-carnosine

Here is Optimal GI
https://www.seekinghealth.com/products/optimal-gi

Any probiotic it seems may contribute to constipation. This is often due to bacterial 'remodeling' and is usually temporary.

You may want to support healthy bowel movements by using Gallbladder Nutrients - 2 capsules before dinner.*

Is it ok to take Saccharomyces Boulardii and ProBiota HistaminX together?

Yes. I do at times.

Best time to take them is after dinner.

If you forget then, just take them before bed.

What purpose does the ascorbyl palmitate serve in this product?

Hi Alana -

It helps deliver the active ingredients uniformly into the capsule.

This allows for consistent label claim of ingredients in each capsule.

Hi. Would taking this supplement while on antibiotics treatment reduce their negative effects on the microbiome? And for how long after the antibiotics treatment is finished do you recommend taking it?

Hi Liz -

Yes. Saccharomyces Boulardii is a natural beneficial yeast so antibiotics do not bother it at all.

I'd take 1 to 2 capsules every night after dinner while you are taking antibiotics.

Then, I'd continue taking it until the bottle is empty. Then you're most likely good.

I'd also add in ProBiota HistaminX once the course of antibiotics is over. I'd take 1 capsule after dinner every night for the entire bottle. Then I'd reduce to a few times a week essentially indefinitely. I've been on ProBiota HistaminX for years.

Can I take while breastfeeding? Also can it support baby with thrust? ( If mom takes it)

Hi Anna -

Yes, you may take this while breastfeeding.

I would take it after dinner.

For baby, I recommend opening the capsule, dumping some into your clean, dry hand and then using your other clean hand, pinch some and put it into your baby's mouth.

I also recommend:

  1. boiling the pacifiers
  2. washing anything that baby likes to chew on with soap and water

For healthy breast milk flow, consider Optimal PC. Take 1 capsule any time of day or night with some food. This supports not only healthy breast milk flow, but healthy concentrations of phosphatidylcholine which is extremely important for your baby's developing brain and nervous system. This will also help your gallbladder and bile flow which often gets challenged during pregnancy.

Since this is yeast is it not good for people with candida issues?

Hi Tara -

Great question.

There are beneficial yeasts and negative yeasts.

Saccharomyces Boulardii is a beneficial yeast.

Research actually demonstrates that Saccharomyces Boulardii is antagonistic to candida albicans.
"Saccharomyces boulardii has a strong negative effect on very important virulence factors of C. albicans, i.e. the ability to form filaments and to adhere and form biofilms on plastic surfaces." (1)

Additionally, it has been shown to support healthy levels of IgA in the digestive tract which help support a healthy microbiome.
"S. boulardii was associated with increased IgA and IgG levels in serum in response to C. difficile toxins A and B." (2)

Thus, I recommend using Saccharomyces Boulardii for those who want to support healthy levels of candida albicans vs high levels.

Consider taking 1 capsule after dinner.
