Optimal PC is gluten-free.

How much choline is in each serving of Optimal PC?

There is approximately 15% phosphatidylcholine in each serving of Optimal PC. 

Optimal PC contains 800 mg sunflower lecithin derived phospholipid complex per softgel. 

These phospholipids include:

Are there any warnings or side effects when using Optimal PC? 

Warnings

Not suitable for children under 4 years of age. For children of any age, please speak with a qualified healthcare professional who can determine an appropriate dose or whether this product is safe for them to take. 

If you are being treated for any condition or are currently taking any medications, consult with your healthcare professional before considering the use of this product. 

For pregnant and breastfeeding women, please talk to your qualified healthcare professional before considering the use of this product as this product has not been tested for safety in these groups. 

Side Effects

Side effects of Optimal PC softgels may include: 

  • Sweating
  • Stomach upset
  • Restlessness
  • Diarrhea

These side-effects are more likely if the recommended dosage is exceeded, if you are taking too high of a dose when first starting, or if taken on an empty stomach. Always take this product with food and in divided doses throughout the day. Dr. Ben Lynch recommends starting with a small dose and only working your way up if needed. He always suggests the Pulse Method as outlined in his book “Dirty Genes”. 

Why is Optimal PC NOT suitable for vegans or vegetarians?

Optimal PC Softgels is not suitable for vegans or vegetarians. The gelatin is from bovine (cow). 

What types of omega fatty acids, saturated fats, and unsaturated fats are in Optimal PC?

Optimal PC is not standardized to provide a significant amount of Omegas, including omega 3 and omega 6. This formulation is intended to provide a potent dose of phospholipids to support neurological function and brain health.† However testing confirms that the ratio of Omega 6 to Omega 3 is 60/1. Linoleic acid (omega 6) is not known to increase inflammation, as other omega 6 fatty acids do. Please click here to see research on this topic

Why can't Optimal PC be taken at night?

Optimal PC is a precursor to acetylcholine, an important neurotransmitter in the brain. Effecting levels of neurotransmitters may have an effect on energy or sleep.†
