Liposomal Glutathione Plus Dr. Lynch Q&AUpdated 3 hours ago

I was told I’m missing GSTT1 and GSTM1 genes and therefore am unable to detox. I’m also heterozygous MTHFR. Should I be supplementing with glutathione daily? Anything else that would help me detox? Thank you! | Hi Jen - We should all be using glutathione either daily or a few times a week. The amount of exposures we have in a given day is absurd. Consider:

I have fast CBS gene, will this type of glutathione help slow down my CBS gene? I already tried glutathione plus lozenges but it didn't slow it down. | Hi Adrian - I highly recommend watching this video on a fast CBS gene - If you order the StrateGene Report, you can also see what makes your fast CBS gene slower - and faster. The key is knowing if it's fast epigenetically - not just genetically. What symptoms are you experiencing? That's the key here. Post a follow up question expanding on what you're struggling with and we'll go from there. Best, |
Hello Dr. Lynch, I saw your video on IG. Thank you so much for the information you have already provided. I’m about 3 miles from Biolab, which is the site of the toxic fire in Georgia. I want to take Glutathione but I take other prescription drugs and supplements. Can you tell me any warnings or conflicts? I take the following: 2/day CaMg - Ca (elemental) 1,000 mg (From 2,775 mg complex of carbonate, citrate and ascorbate); Mg (elemental) 500 mg (from 928 mg complex of oxide, citrate and ascorbate) Multivitamin Life extension Fish oil super omega-3. 2000 mg Taurine 1000 mg 1/day Mg (elemental) 400mg - (from oxide, citrate, and aspartate) Please let me know your thoughts Thank you, Colette | Hi Colette - I'm glad you're aware that you need to support yourself with glutathione. I'm sorry you're in this situation. A couple things:
In terms of glutathione, I highly recommend the Glutathione Plus Lozenges over our liposomal forms. I find that the lozenges are superior in effectiveness. Consider taking 1 full lozenge a few times a day or more depending on the exposure. Keep in mind that too much glutathione can cause headaches so if you're getting headaches which are new, it may be due to taking too much glutathione so reduce the amount and possibly the frequency as well. I'd also add:
I'm glad you're taking Taurine and Fish Oil - well done. Best to you, |
I know Tylenol and Excedrin depletes glutathione stores, but can it also cause oxadized glutathione? Been on an Excedrin daily binge for a couple of years and messed with my liver. My OATS shows I have glutathione, but it's all oxadized. | Hi Jackson - Yes - that's likely how it depletes the glutathione actually - by damaging it. The best way to support that is to:

Sorry this is not straight about Glutathione but your suggestion to consider LDN for my RA. My doc says there is not much evidence that LDN works for RA patients. Is there something you can share with me to convince him ? OR is there another way to get the prescription for LDN ? I am taking everything you suggested and joint nutrients are helping me. | Hi Soujanya - Here you go - ask your doctor if they can read:
"In persistent LDN users, there was a 13% relative reduction in cumulative defined daily doses (DDD) of all medicines examined corresponding to -73.3 DDD per patient (95% CI -120,2 to -26.4, p = 0.003), and 23% reduction of analgesics (-21.6 DDD (95% CI -35.5 to -7.6, p<0.009)). There was no significant DDD change in patients with lower LDN exposure. Persistent LDN users had significantly reduced DDDs of NSAID and opioids, and a lower proportion of users of DMARDs (-6.7 percentage points, 95% CI -12.3 to-1.0, p = 0.028), TNF-α antagonists and opioids. There was a decrease in the number of NSAID users among patients with the least LDN exposure. Important limitations are that prescription data are proxies for clinical effects and that a control group unexposed to LDN is lacking. The results support the hypothesis that persistent use of LDN reduces the need for medication used in the treatment of rheumatic and seropositive arthritis. Randomised clinical trials on LDN in rheumatic disease are warranted." "This review shows that LDN is a promising and safe therapy to be used in some rheumatic disease." One needs to order LDN from a compound pharmacy like this one: In health, |
Doc Ben Lynch. I gave the much loved, pungent smelling, yellow, thick delicious tasting old formula to our 11 year old daughter because it was as if her body craved it and it was the ONLY THING that helped calm this internal shaking inside of her, (mostly gut area), It did not take it away, but she could feel a difference? I am a desperate mother (AS YOU ARE AWARE OF!) with NO answers as to what this is, her fatigue is worsening, and she now tells me this new formula tastes awful and she feels no difference? Did you change any ingredients? I know you added some tropical flavor, would there be another reason , like pathway blocked? HELP! Yakirah might be the only customer other than your sweet beautiful wife that loves that old flavor, but maybe it's because their bodies need it desperately? Thank you as always, | Hi Lizzie - We are always working on improving our formulations and listening to our customers. I hear you. I'll continue working on this one. In the meantime, here are some things for you to consider:
Start here. Keep me posted. She should notice benefit quite quickly if these are the right recommendations. In health, |
Hello Dr.Lynch, After reading your book, Dirty Genes", I am so tempted to start with Liposomal Glutathione for my health. I am diagnosed with RA and still continuing in pains, in spite of removing most of the allergic foods. I see many people knowing exactly what they cannot eat and what type of gene they carry...I feel so dumb and lost about my health. So I am planning to get the 23andMe DNA test to understand the root cause for my inflammation. Is this ok ? Is there any specific food allergy test that I should get before starting any of your supplements? I hardly see 4-5 practitioners on your webpage. Is there a list who I can approach for my issues ? Highly appreciate your inputs and cannot thank you enough for your updates on health issues. Reading your book took me back to my classroom days and was stoked while reading all the biochemical reactions. You are a superb teacher :) Soujanya | Hi Soujanya - Well done on reading Dirty Genes :) Thank you for your compliments! You are far from dumb. I'd say you're simply not informed of how your body works - and you are working on changing that. The more you learn about how amazing your body is, the more you realize how indeed complex and beautiful it is. I will say the more I know about how the body works, the more I appreciate how important the FUNDAMENTALS are. We often forget the fundamentals for fancy stuff like genetic testing. For now, I'd focus on applying the fundamentals big time before getting lost in the weeds with genetic testing. A few things I can suggest:
I recommend working with www.elizmalambert.com - she's great In health, |
I have used this product for a few years now. Today I read a response to a customer from Dr. Ben Lynch that the Natural Flavors listed are fermented. That is very important information for me because I have Mast Cell Activation Syndrome and Mold Illness. Both health issues say stay away from anything fermented. Could there be more information telling those of us who have the same issues as myself that something is fermented? I am very hypersensitive and have been trying to figure out what is best for me. I have always appreciated Seeking Health products. They are high quality products. I'm thankful for all Dr. Ben Lynch is doing to help so many get on the road of good health. | Hi Linda - While the natural flavors are derived from a fermentation process, I do not believe they will impact you negatively with your mast cells. I am also sensitive to histamine and do very well with all of our glutathione formulations. If you want a glutathione that does not use any flavors, our Glutathione Plus capsules is the one I recommend. I would use that one every two days or so as it is pretty high dose per capsule. Too much glutathione and one may experience a headache. I prefer using the Liposomal Glutathione Plus or the Glutathione Plus Lozenge over the Glutathione Plus capsules. In health, |
How does this product compare to: Auro Wellness https://aurowellness.com/?campaignid=12243925122&adgroupid=151093438271&network=g&device=c&keyword=aurowellness&matchtype=b&adposition&gad_source=1 This company claims the topical product will be better absorbed through the skin than by ingesting it lasting as long as 4 hours. I would appreciate your feedback on this as I'm ready to buy your product, but I'm questioning the effectiveness of drinking the glutathione. I have done the 23&me+Stratagene and bought the Dirty Genese Book. Thanks, Dr.! | Hi Alfredo - You're welcome to give our glutathione a try. See how it performs for you. If you don't like it, ask for a refund. I am not sure about other products out there as there is way more than just reading labels and their website. Making effective, clean and safe supplements is extremely difficult. We use the s-acetyl form of glutathione. S-acetyl glutathione is protected against digestion. The stomach acid cleaves off the s-acetyl group keeping the glutathione itself intact. This is exactly why we use this form. If you are consuming regular reduced glutathione, yes, some, and possibly all, may be digested before it gets absorbed. There is research showing the effectiveness of Emothion compared to regular glutathione which I've reviewed. We also have the Glutathione Plus Lozenges. These are my favorite actually. They taste great, you feel the effects extremely fast and they are well tolerated by so many people. People say well it's only 100 mg in your liposomal and only 25 mg in your lozenge. It's not the dosage of glutathione that you should be focused on. You should be focused on the stability, absorbability and effectiveness of the glutathione that you are using. Emothion is extremely effective. If I used more than 25 mg of glutathione in our lozenge, you would experience side effects. I initially tested this at 50 mg and it was too strong. Our liposomal glutathione used to be 350 mg and I had to reduce it down to 100 mg because the effectiveness was more than 3x. When testing, I feel good at 100 mg. I feel side effects at 350 mg. I recommend starting with 1/2 a lozenge of Glutathione Plus if you choose that one. And do it first thing in the morning upon waking. If using the Liposomal Glutathione, start with 1/2 serving, hold in your mouth for 15 seconds, then swallow. Typically one feels the benefits within 5 minutes or less. In health, |
HI, what are the natural flavors made from? Does this contain anything from citrus? I am allergic and having big reactions to all MAOI, histamine & tyramine foods including citruses. Thankyou. | Hi Phi - This is what our natural flavors are from: The natural flavors are very unlikely to contribute to your histamine symptoms. To support healthy histamine levels, consider: ProBiota HistaminX - 1 capsule after dinner Histamine Digest - 1 capsule with meals and possibly one before bed. I'd also consider 2 capsules of Gallbladder Nutrients before dinner. Supporting healthy bile production and bile flow is very important for a healthy gut and histamine levels. In health, |
Since the formula is more potent can we take less and get more servings out of one bottle? | Hi Patricia - Absolutely. I think this is a wise approach. Consider 1/2 the serving size immediately upon waking. I'd also consider having a bottle of this along with a bottle of Glutathione Plus Lozenge. See which one you prefer. The Glutathione Plus Lozenges are also fantastic for supporting healthy glutathione levels in kids. Start with just 1/2 a lozenge of Glutathione Plus lozenges. You would take one or the other - not both at the same time. You could consider taking the Glutathione Plus Lozenge one morning. Then consider switching to the Liposomal Glutathione Plus the next morning. See which one you prefer better. In health, |
Why does it contain much less glutathione that the previous formula. I'm not happy with this. | Hi Steve - The form of glutathione is the reason. One only needs a fraction of Emothion as s-acetyl glutathione compared to the typical reduced glutathione. If you took 500 mg of Emotion, you would have significant side effects of glutathione excess as it's so well absorbed compared to the other form. Case in point, our Glutathione Plus Lozenges contain only 25 mg of Emotion per lozenge - and my entire family takes 1/2 a lozenge nearly every morning. When I made the Glutathione Plus Lozenge at 50 mg of Emotion per lozenge, it was causing us nausea, weird feelings in the head and just not nice. At 25 mg, and taking only 1/2 most days and 1 full lozenge on moments of actual exposure, we feel great. When it comes down to dosages, one really has to understand the quality and effectiveness of the ingredient. Since Seeking Health is the FIRST company to offer Emotion in a liposomal glutathione, we understand that people are going to expect 500 mg per serving still. That is something we are willing to push through until people truly realize the significant difference in the quality. In health, |
Why can't I take this during pregnanzy? | Hi Stephanie - You actually can - just use 1/2 the serving size. Healthy glutathione levels are very important during pregnancy. In health, |
Why don't you show ALL the ingredients? Does it contain guar guar? Does it contain any form of sugar? All this I need to know to make a decision. It's a disservice to not inform the potential customer completely of what they're putting in their body. | Catherine - We do show all ingredients in two places on the website:

Can kids take this? | Hi Bri - Absolutely. The taste is also quite good. For kids, the best form may be the Glutathione Plus Lozenges. I recommend starting with 1/2 lozenge of Glutathione Plus Lozenge in the morning. It's a great way to get your day started - with a clear head :) In health, |
