I know this product is joint specific, but have you ever thought of releasing for systemic inflammation? Something that targets numerous inflammatory pathways? | Hi Josh - I have yes. It's not easy to do. I am working on a formulation but I'm not liking it. Underlying causes of inflammation are so vast and the triggers are as well. This supplement does support overall healthy inflammation by some of the ingredients so I do suggest using it for that as well. Consider 1 capsule in the morning after breakfast and another before bed. Some people prefer taking it with food and some without. Either way it works well. In health, |
Does this helps with Osteophytes? | Hi Arthur - This would support the healthy comfort of the joint with the osteophyte, yes. It would not dissolve the osteophyte. Ostephytes are sometimes caused by:

Can this heal decades long back pain? Stenosis, bulging disks, etc? If so, how long to feel results? Thinking about doing Intracept (nerve ablation) unless I can heal it. Thank you! | i Bob - That's a maybe. It depends. Joint Nutrients is designed to support healthy joint movement and joint mobility.* It has done absolute wonders for my wife's joints. What I highly highly recommend for you is looking for a health professional near you who is an expert in prolotherapy. Here is a directory of some prolotherapists Prolotherapy: what is it? This treatment has done wonders for many of patients I've referred including myself and family members In health, |
I see that this is not recommended for people who are methyl sensitive. What if you're not sure? Will this product cause problems, or just potentially not be as effective? Thank so much! | Hi Tricia - That needs to be corrected. Thank you for pointing it out. This is totally fine for those sensitive to methyl donors. My wife prefers taking it 1 capsule twice daily. Some people find they do best before bed and others just in the morning. Play with how you use it. Some days you'll need twice a day and others just once. I also like to use it proactively - if I'm going to do a big hike or be active with my body all day, I'll take one. Best to prepare and recover well than struggle the next day :) Best |
I injured my foot several years ago, my doc just thought I had a bad sprain, but now I'm guessing there was a small fracture. My foot always hurts when I walk. Worst when I get started (stiff) and then gets a little better. Also get pain in my knees, probably from an off gait due to foot pain. My question is - can I open the capsules and take in water? I have a difficult time swallowing pills. Thank you! | Hi Deborah - You may open the capsules. I recommend putting the contents of the capsules in some organic applesauce or a bite of food. Best with 1 capsule with your breakfast and one with your dinner. Some people do great with this combination - other people need both at once - typically with dinner. Once you feel good, then you may do well with 1 capsule as a maintenance dose. Use 2 as a loading dose for the initial phase of support. A trick for swallowing pills if you want to try:
See how that goes :) In health, |
Would Joint Nutrients be helpful for osteo-arthritis pain in thumb? | Hi Judy - Joint Nutrients supports healthy joints. My wife who has arthritis uses Joint Nutrients to support her healthy joints successfully. I designed Joint Nutrients for her actually as she hurt herself on a sand dune and she wasn't recovering. Now she uses it every day since. Sometimes just 1 capsule is all she needs and or she takes 2 capsules - 1 in morning and 1 at night. You'll be impressed :) In health, |
Hi doc! I already take optimal electrolyte 2 packets per day, and I also take your multivitamin. I notice all have niacin in it, I want to start joint support but it’s it ok to take that much niacin? I notice it says in joint support only it’s already 313% of niacin per serving. Side note I do have high cholesterol so mabye increased niacin would help? | Hi Philip - Great awareness. The niacin is supportive for you overall. It's an underrated nutrient. If you're taking the multivitamin, you're getting B12 and folate which is important to balance niacin. Excessive niacin without methylation can become an issue but we're taking grams of niacin. Experiment with Joint Nutrients. See what use scenario works best for you: Try 1 capsule before bed and 1 upon waking, 2 before bed, 2 upon waking and just 1 one time a day - try these scenarios and you'll likely adjust as needed overtime as well. I've found that all of these suggested use times help some people as there is no one right way to take it. RE: Cholesterol: consider supporting healthy gallbladder and bile production/flow with Bile Nutrients - 2-4 capsules before dinner. * Healthy bile production and flow is incredibly important for healthy cholesterol levels.* Additionally, watch your carb intake and likely limit it. If finding yourself chowing on carbs more than you like, it may be a deficiency in dopamine or serotonin. I also find that going for a 10 minute walk after meals is very supportive for healthy blood sugar and thus healthy cholesterol levels. In health, |
Does this help overall muscle inflammation as well? ??My muscles constantly ache and are worse when standing all day and when I wake up!!! Can't help but take tylenol, but trying to get off it!! | Hi Bradford - The enzymes in Joint Nutrients may support, yes. However, I suspect we should look into other things to better support healthy muscle function. Here are some suggestions:

How does this work with people that have sulfur sensitivity? Thanks! | There are no obvious ingredients in the Joint Nutrients that I would consider high sulfur. Of course, this may depend on an individual's level of sensitivity. If there is any sulfur in the ingredients it will be in very small amounts. You may already be taking it, but if not, consider taking Molybdenum to support sulfur sensitivity. Regards, |
Hello! I am struggling with getting my ferritin levels up and am currently taking the Optimal Iron, I read that curcumin will hinder the process of increasing iron. I also have what I believe to be some arthritis in my hips that are bothering me and was interested in taking this but want to make sure it won’t interfere with the Optimal Iron? | Joint Nutrients should not interfere with iron uptake or the Optimal Iron. You may just decide to take Joint Nutrients at a different time than the Optimal Iron. One study showed that turmeric could reduce iron absorption by 20 - 90% in humans if taken together. I suggest you take Optimal Iron in the morning, and Joint Nutrients at lunch and in the evening. Hope this helps :). Regards, |
Hello, I have systemic mastocytosis. I also am a former professional ballerina with bad knees (4 surgeries), hips, low back (rods plates and screws put in 10 years ago) and a bulging disc in my neck. I have a deficit in my foot due to nerve death, so I have constant foot pain on the right side. I also have severe osteoporosis, linked to the SM. I take histamine digest and other Seeking Health products, and have greatly altered my eating habits. All this has helped my SM. But my knees hips, foot and back hurt all the time. Will this product help me? Be appropriate considering my SM? Any words of wisdom would be appreciated. Thank you, Julie | Glad to hear that Histamine Digest, amongst other Seeking Health products, has helped with your mast cell symptoms :). Joint Nutrients would be a great addition to help you with your joint pains. It does in fact contain some nutrients that could be beneficial for your SM. So there's no reason why not to take it ;). The typical dosage is 1 capsule twice a day, but you may even take 2 capsules twice a day for a few weeks and then on a maintenance dose of 2 capsules per day. Also, consider Fish Oil if you're not taking this already. It may support inflammation and healthy mast cell membranes.* Dehydration can decrease the production of synovial fluid in the joints which can make them stiffer and more painful. Optimal Electrolyte helps to maintain cellular hydration. I also suggest looking into trigger points. Some muscular trigger points can make joint symptoms a lot worse. For instance, trigger points in the rectus femoris muscle (front thigh) can be displayed as knee pain. Considering that you were a professional athlete I'd be surprised if you didn't have some residual trigger points. A good manual I referred to throughout my athletic training is 'The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook' by Clair Davies. It helped me recover from a lot of injuries. All the best! Regards, |
Hello, İ want to get more information about the joint nutrients supplement , İ have Multiple sclerosis and İ suffer from spasticity like stretching of my right leg around the knee when İ stand or lay down , İ feel this stabbing pain daily and stiffness sometimes. Would you recommend this supplement and would it help with my condition. MS spacticity and pain is said to be a brain related issue not muscle or joint issue directly is that true. Also besides this supplement what do you recommend for someone who has MS and taking an immunesuppressant drug . | Yes, MS is a nervous system issue and not a muscle or joint issue. Multiple sclerosis occurs when your immune system attacks cells that cover your nerves, or the myelin sheath. It can also affect certain brain areas. I would suggest: Optimal PC: Take 2 capsules per day. These are some basic nutrients that support healthy myelination of the nerves.* I would highly recommend that you work with a healthcare practitioner as there may be other nutrients or treatments that could be of benefit to you. MS often has environmental causes such as heavy metal exposure. A practitioner can take a careful case history and identify what tests may be appropriate for you. Regards, |
Is this what you would take if you broke a bone and sprained your ankle (plus all the resulting X-rays 😑) thank you | I would yes. Consider:
Once you are able to put your ankle and leg into very warm water, consider doing what is called Contrast Hydrotherapy. You will:

Dr Ben, I love your joint nutrients, but I'm worried about high level of niacin to use every day, it has bad long time use side effects, like liver damage, higher risk of heart attack and stroke, etc. Should I be worried? Thank you Regards Sara Fajbis from Australia | I hear you. Should you be worried? Absolutely not. Here's why. You need to have at least 500 mg daily, and typically multiple GRAM doses of niacin long term in order for niacin to cause issues. To support your healthy liver overall, consider Liver Nutrients or Gallbladder Nutrients with dinner.* This is a good idea overall as a healthy liver and gallbladder is a must for healthy joints as well. The body is entirely connected. In health, |
Dear DR , Is it okay to take other supplements like multivitamin, ALA, NAC, carnitine, b complex, iron etc. With joint nutrients? Thank you Regards Sara | Yes it is. In health, |
These have totally got rid of my knee pain (I wrote a review) AMAZING! My question is, they also elevated my mood considerably (I don't mean just because my knees stopped hurting either) - what is in this formulation that could have had such a positive effect on my mood too? Thanks for making SUCH cool supplements that actually work | That's awesome! :) So happy Joint Nutrients is supporting your knees so well! Pain triggers norepinephrine and high histamine. These lead to irritability, and over time if chronically elevated, leads to depleted adrenals and exhaustion. By supporting a healthy response to pain and supporting healthy joints, Joint Nutrients indirectly supports healthy levels of neurotransmitters.* Those of us who have been plagued by pain for years know how tiring and exhaustive it is - and limiting in terms of how much freedom you have to do the daily activities you want - and need -to do. The return of freedom of movement is an additional huge benefit which absolutely supports healthy mood! Please shout out Joint Nutrients to your friends and family. It is an incredibly effective supplement which supports joint health.* My wife got her freedom of movement back and her mood is so much better because of Joint Nutrients - and as a result, our marriage is the best it has been in years - and we're going on nearly 25 years marriage! ;) Stay free ;) In health, |
I've had proximal/high hamstring tendinopathy in both legs for 20+ years. I have tried everything - dry needling, shockwave therapy, prolotherapy, Tenex procedure, PRP, cortisone shots, physical therapy, complete rest for a few months, changing my diet, etc. NOTHING has worked. Could this supplement help the tendons? Are there any other supplements that could help with tendons? I'm at the point where I feel like I might need to visit a clinic in Mexico for stem cell treatment. | I'd say it's worth a shot as it's certainly easier than flying to Mexico. Joint Nutrients has very effective enzymes and nutrients on board which support healthy inflammation.* I'd consider taking 2 capsules before bed and 2 upon waking in the morning for a few days as a 'Loading Dose'. Then, I'd go down to the 1 capsule before bed and 1 upon rising in the morning. I suspect it may help you. It's a remarkable supplement using clinical studies on over 8 ingredients which, each ingredient by itself, demonstrated a positive outcome - and I've put them all together in one capsule. Keep me posted. I believe you should know in a week after taking if it's helping or not - max. In health, |
Would this be helpful for inflammation in lower back causing irritation and pain of sciatic nerve? | That's a great question. Joint Nutrients has been tested on joint health specifically so I am not sure. Your point makes sense that Joint Nutrients would support healthy inflammation generally speaking. I do recommend giving it a go. I recommend taking a 'loading dose' for the first week. Consider taking 2 capsules before bed and 2 capsules upon waking up in the morning. Do this for the first week. Then, the following week, follow the recommended usage of 1 capsule twice daily. Other people have reported that they do best with 2 capsules once daily - so please play with it and see what works best for you. In health, |
Can I take Joint Nutrients alongside Ibuprofen until the pain subsides and I can drop the ibuprofen (for knee pain) thank you | Yes you may. I'd consider using Optimal GI capsules if you have been using Ibuprofen for an extended period of time. NSAIDs are very difficult on the stomach lining. Optimal GI supports a healthy gut lining.* You would take 3 capsules of Optimal GI before bed for a few weeks. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, This is the product you recommended for my friend to prevent gout. How should he take it? How many capsules etc.? I have him starting in the AM with Optimal Glut + (1/2 to full lozenge away from food), dark cherry juice daily, and then joint nutrients. Thank you for your help! Also, where can I get notified (in the members section) when you are doing a live? It sounds like you are doing one on the gut this month and I’d like to attend but can’t find where it will be? Can you advise please? Appreciate all you do. HG | I would consider 1 capsule upon waking in the morning and 1 before bed. My team is currently working on a sign up and notification system. Right now, we send out an email to Members letting them know the Webinar is coming up. When you log in to seekinghealth.com, click My Account, then My Education and then you will see the Gut Health option there. Click Access Here on May 29th at 5 PM PST and then click Join once inside. Could joint nutrients cause a mood change? My husband started taking it for his shoulder pain. He is bone on bone in both shoulders. I noticed almost immediately a change in his demeanor. He was flat with an underlying mad tone. He took it for 3 days and I had him stop. He seemed fine after taking. He took 1 in am and 1 in pm. Please advise Also, we bought the pre workout. Is it ok to take a few minutes before working out? He works out at 5 am. We love your products and I am looking forward to learning more from you. I became a member to continue learning. Very appreciative of your knowledge. Thank you! | I have not experienced this from other people yet with Joint Nutrients. In looking over the ingredients, there are two or a combination of three that may increase irritability but at 1 capsule dose, it is quite unlikely. Curcumin, ginger and quercetin. Your husband may be a Slow COMT. If so, he may do well with taking Optimal Magnesium before bed at night and Stress Nutrients in the morning on his more stressful days where he wants to support a healthy mood. I'm pretty sensitive to nutrients and can experience irritability from curcumin but I don't from Joint Nutrients -and I take 2 at a time when I do take it - which is pretty rare. I'll look for mood change next time. For Pre-Workout, yes, he can drink right before workout and also during. I usually gave it 15 to 20 minutes before working out. He still will feel the benefits from it as it has ATP which is literally instant energy. In health, Curcumin may increase irritability in some people. |
