Gut Nutrients Powder Dr. Lynch product Q&AUpdated 2 hours ago

Hello, I am not sure if I should take this or the probiotic bifido. I sometimes get abdominal pain in the small intestine area after eating, no food in particular triggers it, and it happens randomly. I also sometimes bloat after eating, burp frequently and have acid reflux. I was on antiobiotics a lot as a kid but haven't been on any in at least 7 years. I also feel thirsty at night after dinner. I have cut out seed oils, nuts, and processed food. I have been following a lot of Ray peat's ideologies and consume sugar. Any recommendations? Thank you so much! | Hi Sam - Good summary. A few things to support healthy digestion:*
I would not take either probiotic quite yet. After a month of the above supplementation support, consider adding in ProBiota HistaminX upon waking. Stop the Saccharomyces Boulardii after a month. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, My husband recently found out he has several homozygous snp's. Detox: SULT2A1 (rs182420CC, rs2910397TT), FOCM: MTHFD1 (rs2236225AA), MTHFD1L (rs6922269AA), MTRR (rs1802059AA), SHMT1 (rs1979277AA) Digestion: FUT2 (rs492602GG, rs601338AA, rs602662AA), Neurotramsmitters: GAD1 (rs3749034GG), MAO-A (rs6323T), MAO-B (rs1799836C), NTRK2 (rs1387923 GG), HPA Axis / endrocrine: NR3C1 (rs2918419TT, rs6196AA, rs860458GG) He has a very sensitive gut, frequent loose stools and typically has a hard time trying new supplements. Lots of brain fog. This all started about 10 years ago and has seen many docs over the years to no avail. We eat carnivore / animal based primarily. There are quite a bit of supplement suggestions via the NutraHacker.com site where we uploaded his raw data. We were wondering what you would suggest to tackle first and the protocol moving forward. He just had bloodwork done so we are waiting on that to come back. Thank you for all do! | Hi Katie - Thank you for reaching out before buying supplements as recommended by a genetic report. I find Nutrahacker's recommendations to be very confusing and inaccurate. You could be taking tons of supplements and conflicting ones at that if following their suggestions. SNPs are tip of the iceberg when it comes to underlying contributors of symptoms. They are definitely contributors but a fraction of them. I highly recommend first reading Dirty Genes and getting a solid understanding of how your genes work and what things to do to improve their function. What happened 10 years ago? That is where you need to start as you likely know. I'd say for supplements based on how he is feeling - not on SNPs - consider:
Here are a few very informative Guides for you and him to read: I suggest you both read:
You'll learn a lot here and that will translate to making decisions which further support his recovery. If wanting a referral for someone who is very skilled in gut health, consider working with ElizmaLambert.com - and she's excellent with genetics as well. The supplement recommendations I provided above are a safe, well-tolerated starting point. I do recommend he start here. Don't buy anything else until after he's done those for over a month. Do read the guides - but don't buy more supplements - instead apply the lifestyle and environmental suggestions. In health, |
If You can Tell me..My mom has recently her gallbladder removed, because of lithiasis, and IT had adherences. Is it ok for her tot take this supplement? Or, when to take IT? Thank You very much for the answer | Hi Adriana - Yes, this would be supportive for your mother. I would also consider a few others and here are my suggestions and reasons why along with how to take:
In health, |
Hi! I've read a lot of questions and replies here and have learned a lot! thank you for providing same for your customers. I had gallbladder removed 5 yrs ago. I have been taking SH's Ox Bile and Gall Bladder Nutrients and I like the support I experience with same. Prior to gall bladder removed every month or every other month I experienced (around my moon) diarhea. I would be sick for a couple of hours to a day. I thought it was hormone related (maybe it is). I still experience this about once a month but now that I'm getting older, Peri-Menopause... the episodes are lasting longer 1-3 days and the recovery is brutal on my body and mental/emotional health. I am diagnosing myself with IBS-C. Maybe I have SIBO I'm not sure. I have always been a thin child/adult, but now i'm getting really thin. I'm 5-6 at 107 pounds. My average weight as an adult has always been between 110-117 (still very low). I have a hard time gaining weight and keeping it on. The only time I was a healthy weight in my life was pregnancy in 2017 weighed at 135 (I took SH prenatals, never took a "folic acid" and delivered a healthy baby girl :) ) The healthiest time Ive ever been in my life. I do have MTHFR and take other SH supplements for supporting same. But I do feel that the weight loss, at this age, that I'm not getting the proper nutrients absorbed. So maybe i have a microbiome issue. I also feel very tired after working out or long days out and about like a day at the Botanical Gardens (long walks but relaxed) still come home and need to take a nap. I'm considering adding Glutothione Plus, Gut Nutrients, Digestive Enzymes. I already take (as needed) SH multivitamin powder, B-Minus, Methyl B12 w L-Methylfolate. Nootropic bundle, electrolytes. Thank you! | Camelia - Additionally, your point about a beautiful baby girl - congratulation! :) - makes a big difference. Pregnancy you have a lot more support in terms of processing histamine in the gut. Your DAO enzyme gets boosted from the placenta. Thus, the placenta actually breaks down histamine better than just your own DAO enzyme. The DAO enzyme from the placenta is actually made by your baby's genetics - not yours - which is crazy. I do feel that Histamine Digest could be a game changer for you. Another interesting thing is that parasites are often worse during the full moon. So this is another reason to do that stool test - and I'd do it during one of your loose stool attacks on a full moon. In health, Hi Camelia - You're welcome ;) I'm glad to hear you're learning a lot - that's the goal! :) Well explained. I'd like you to give ElizmaLambert.com a call and have a consultation with her. There are a number of things that should be considered. From my brain, here are some things to consider:
After you do the stool and digestive test, then I would look at their findings. I suspect you will need:
Keep me posted ;) In health, |
I have found the root cause to my gut not working, I now am having normal stools for the 1st time in 8yrs! But I have had SIBO / IMO for the past 8yrs. What do you recommend to help my Microbiome to get better? Will it get better eventually with things flowing properly? Or do I need to address the Archae and bacteria that’s been around all this time? Thank you | Hi Lynda - That's awesome :) A few things to support you:
Start here and check in about 3 weeks to see how you're doing. We may be good or may need to do some tweaks. In health, |
Hi Ben, could you please advise the best supplements I should be putting my daughter on? Shes 8. Has autism/adhd/ pandas, arfid, interoception, she suffers from chronic constipation, blood iron and white cells always come back low, has fluid in her pouch of douglas, small amount of fat in her liver, likely has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, could have a vascular issue like her older sister, is gluten and dairy free, suffers from awful anxiety, she's just had a biobloc fitted to widen her jaw also. Her body hasn't run properly from day 1. I believe she has slow motility. We all also have issues with c1, 2 and 3 joints In our necks. Her neuro chiropractor ordered genetic testing. We have Arnold chiari malformation, pots/Dysautonomia, IJV, coeliac, TOS, MCAS, cervical ribs, hashimoto, haemangiomas and diverticulitis within our family. I've been seeing all sorts of people to help over the last couple of years and getting nowhere in regards to her feeling better. The worst complaint is constant stomach aches (belly button area) and headaches (frontal lobe). Any advice or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Tiffany. | Hi Tiffany - With such a complex situation, it's best to have a consultation with a health professional. I recommend working with elizmalambert.com I don't want to give you a bunch of suggestions which may be inaccurate. In health, |
Is this supplement typically safe for people with histamine intolerance? | Hi Jodi - There are no ingredients in the Gut Nutrients Powder that would directly stimulate histamine release from mast cells. In fact, it contains some ingredients that could help with mast cell stabilization and thus reduce histamine release. So it should be OK for people with histamine intolerance. Regards, |
Would this work well for diagnosed leaky gut? Anything else that can help? | Hi Dr. D - It's designed to support a healthy gut lining - so yep.* ;) Consider:
This combination is very thorough and approaches it from a few different angles. In health, |
Two questions-can I mix this the night before I take it? And, why do i have to drink it over the course of 30 min. Why can't I just drink all of it right away? | Hi Stacy - You'll like the answers to your questions :) You can mix Gut Nutrients Powder the night before taking it and leave it in the fridge. It's typically recommended to mix 2 scoops in a liter water bottle and sip throughout the day, so the powder can be suspended in liquid for a lengthy period of time. The liquid may thicken up somewhat the longer it stands for due to the fibers in the product. The latest recommendation is that you can also drink it over 5 minutes instead of 30 minutes. All the best. Regards, |
My thirty-something son had a burst appendix this past January followed by surgery and a 4-month recovery including antibiotics the entire time. He took Sacharomyces boularidii and several probiotic blends during the 4 month recovery and continues to take probiotics through foods like miso and kimchi. Going forward, do you think he’ll be needing digestive enzymes or gallbladder nutrients or gut nutrients? Thanks! | Hi TerriG - I'm really glad your son took Saccharomyces boulardii and probiotics whilst on antibiotics. Many studies have shown that S. boulardii may help the gut microbiome recover quicker post-antibiotics.* The appendix plays an important role in gut immunity and fighting infections. He no longer has this part. Gut Nutrients may be of benefit to him since it contain ingredients that help support a healthy gut microbiome and thus gut immunity.* There are some studies that report an increased risk of gallstones during the first year after appendectomy. Whilst the reason for this is not clear the theory is that it may be due to bacteria translocating (moving) from the appendix area upwards to where the bile duct is, disrupting healthy bile formation.* Gallbladder Nutrients can help support healthy bile production and bile flow.* If he experiences digestive symptoms such as feeling full after eating or bloating then he may need some Digestive Enzyme support. Let him check out the statements on the Digestive Enzymes product page and see if this resonates with him: Hope this helps :). Regards, |
Hi! I know I ask a lot of questions but I really like your products! I am looking for gut healing support (I don't have a gallbladder and have IBS) and I have used the Bile Nutrients, but wanted to try the Gut Nutrients now too...but I am slow COMT and slow UGT1A1 so I think I am supposed to avoid Quercetin ...right? | Hi Taylor ;) Ask away. The avoidance of quercetin is inaccurate. One should be mindful of how they are feeling from taking quercetin due to a slow COMT but it's not to be avoided completely. One just needs to be aware that quercetin may slow down a COMT but your COMT is not always burdened so it's fine. I'd like to know more what symptoms you're dealing with vs just saying 'gut healing support' as it would be better recommendations for me to you ;) Consider:

Hi Can this help with prevention of stomach flu/bad bugs? So we will hit this time of the year when we all who got younger kids will happily shear every tiny bug on this planet... can't wait! Funny thing last month I got what I think was a stomach bug and the rest of my family was good. Hoe come? I'm breastfeeding and even my baby was good, thankfully. I'm still not good, nausea can't eat hard on digestion food, like fat. Can this supplement help and is it OK for breastfeeding? What else do you recommend for handling stomach bug, just vomiting and nausea. Brat diet? So hard to get sick when you breastfeeding! Thanks your the best, wish all the dr was like you. | Hi Anna - I hear you. Gut Nutrients is not what you need unless you feel like your stomach and intestines feel 'raw' as this supports a healthy gut and stomach lining.* If this sounds right, then consider 3 capsules before bed on an empty stomach and 3 capsules upon waking first thing in the morning on an empty stomach with a glass of filtered water. Additionally, consider:
These are all safe during breastfeeding. In health, |
hi Dr Lynch I would like to combine this product with gastroflux by nutriadvanced but it contains DGL gutguard in this and gut nutrients already contains DGL. are you able to confirm if these two products can be taken ? | Hi Abbas - You may combine these two. No issues. More the merrier with this issue. In health, |
What Seeking Health products can be used to help counter gut infections? | Hi Eleanor - Depends on what it is. Stronger antimicrobials or antibiotics or antiparasite or antifungals may be needed. Probiotics secrete noxious compounds for many types of fungi, bacteria and viruses. These may support herbal or medication use:
Why doesn't Seeking Health have something specific for infections? I designed a very comprehensive one but I couldn't get past raw material sourcing for quality. The herbs were all very dirty with mold and bacteria themselves. It's not easy sourcing quality clean materials. Ask for certificates of analysis before buying something as you may be creating more problems. In health, |
What Seeking Health products would help my tendency to have gut infections? | Hi Eleanor - A predisposition to gut infections may have to do with:

Hi Dr Ben, I wondered if you had any suggestions for a late 60’s female who has COPD and Allergic bronchopulmonary Aspergillosis (sometimes has to take prednisone for flare ups). Has gastritis, hiatal hernia, GERD (results from a colonoscopy and gastroscopies test). She tested negative for H pylori and other pathogens. She also seems allergic to everything. So after reading your really helpful book, my thoughts were - focus on eliminating high histamine foods. As for supplements I thought maybe - an Electrolyte, Optimal GI and maybe some type of Anti fungal? What would you recommend? Many thanks :) | Hi Lilly - I like your thinking. Consider these and switching them around - taking say about 3-4 of these one day and some of the others a different day as she needs broad support:

Hi Dr. Ben, my 14 year old daughter has been experiencing loose stools for about 4 days. I know it's a bug and it needs to run it's course but it has her worried. It's never happened before. I have her take a chewable probiotic and was also wondering if this was a good supplement in cases like hers or what other advice or supplements you recommend for her! | Hi Sarah - You need to make sure it's not contributing to loss of electrolytes or blood. Dehydration from loose stools can be serious. I want you to make sure it's not a bug from undercooked meat, polluted water or other type of bug that may persist and cause issues. Viral induced diarrhea can be a shorter course usually. Consider:

Hi Dr Lynch I was doing some research into 2 key ingredients called mastic gum and bismuth citrate for gastric lining and treating cases of H Pylori and or gastric/duodenal ulcers. Is this something you would potentially add into gut nutrients ? As it will save a lot of time to take a separate supplement containing bismuth citrate and mastic gum. Please let me know your thoughts on this thanks. | Hi Abbas - Yes - these are potentially great to use for gut heatlh. The issue is sourcing them and also many manufacturing companies don't like to use them as it's hard on their machines. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch I am taking omeprazole and was wondering how many hours gap should this be taken away from gut nutrients ? Is it safe and are there any interactions between omeprazole and gut nutrients ? | Hi Abbas - There are no known interactions between these two. You may combine them. I highly recommend taking your Omeprazole as needed. Then, mix 1 to 2 servings of Gut Nutrients in a liter water bottle with room temperature filtered water. Sip it over time during the day. It should take you a couple hours to ingest. This way your stomach is constantly being exposed to a bit of soothing ingredients.* In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch thank you so much for your advice for my son who had ACL surgery, much appreciated! I have been giving him the glutathione lozenges, electrolytes, and gut nutrients like you said but he’s extremely nauseous. and frequent bathroom trips. He’s better with his pain so we stopped all the Advil and Tylenol and just finishing up the baby aspirin in a few days it will be a month post surgery. I feel his gut got totally messed up from all the NSAIDs he feels awful. At this point he doesn’t want anything but plain water, a sweet potato and plain rice. I’m also boiling fresh ginger tea w/lemon. I want to start him on a probiotic and would like your advice on which one and if there’s anything else you’d suggest to rebuild his good bacteria. Thank you so very much for all of your help! | Hi Christina - If you can get him on the Optimal GI capsules that would be ideal - at 2-3 capsules upon waking and 2-3 capsules before bed. He can stop all the other supplements entirely but the Optimal GI capsules should be used - upon waking and before bed. They should help him feel good overall and support healthy bowel movements - not excessive ones. The other supplements may contribute to loose stools if he is taking them all the same time and too fast. It's best to stagger the supplements and use what is needed at the time. It's hard to know what this is but over time you will learn from experience. Taking Optimal Electrolyte - and sipping it vs chugging it - is very important. Glutathione Plus Lozenges - useful to take 1/2 upon waking and more if needed later in the day. Gut Nutrients - this is a powerful supplement and best sipped over a long period of time - not chugged. The probiotic: I'd consider ProBiota HistaminX after dinner and I'd go with 2 capsules after dinner. Glad he's doing better with the pain! In health, |
My son just had ACL surgery and is taking a baby aspirin every day as a blood thinner and was wondering if Gut Nutrients would interfere with blood thinning. He’s in a lot of pain and taking Advil and Tylenol for pain which is now causing GI issues. He also generally has low appetite. I remember you speaking on low appetite but can’t remember which supplement would help him. He eats very slowly and seems to have some issues getting the food to go down. Thank you! | Hi Christina - You're on point. This is what I recommend for him, yes. Gut Nutrients is fine to take while on baby aspirin. Here's how I would take Gut Nutrients:
Additionally:
When he is finished with the baby aspirin, have him take 2 capsules of Optimal Man to get him the nutrients he needs for a healthy recovery.* I wish him the best. He'll get there! In health, |
Would this be good for IBS D & a low functioning gallbladder? I have a hard time tolerating a lot of foods. | Hi Carrie - I think the IBS-D is not able to tolerate higher sulfur compounds. That said, I would instead focus on:
I'd start with Histamine Digest, then Saccharomyces Boulardii then Digestive Enzymes and then the others. In health, |
Hi can you please explain what the difference is between Gut Nutrients and Optimal GI? They seem to be nearly the same with one or two ingredient differences. For someone with extreme constant bloating not just after meals, candida, sibo, leaky gut, constant hunger/inability to feel satiated who has done everything with no improvement. I know you recommend Gallbladder Nutrients which I also will purchase, but should I get this or Optimal GI? I also already take digestive enzymes, HCL, DAO enzymes, probiota bifido and I just purchased but havent started yet the Probiota HistaminX. Thx! | Hi Gayle They are exactly the same except Gut Nutrients has L Glutamine powder. I wouldn’t get either of these yet. I’d take Ox Bile before bed. Hold off on Probiota Histaminx until you’re done with a bottle of Ox Bile. Use Saccharomyces Boulardii. Take 2 capsules after breakfast. If stressed, support a healthy response to stress by adding Stress Nutrients after breakfast.* Stress increases hunger. If constipated, take 1 capsule of Serotonin Nutrients after dinner to support healthy bowel movements and healthy sleep duration.* In health. |
This seems liquify contents of my digestive track. I sip slowly over 30 minutes. What is it that would cause this to happen? Will it improve over time? Taking for alternating IBS. | Hi Teresa - I suspect it's because of the MSM and a bit of sulfur compounds in it. I'd add in Molybdenum as it looks like there isn't enough in here for you. Consider doing these recommendations first for 2 to 3 weeks - then add back in the Gut Nutrients - but do 1/2 a serving and do over an hour.
I would introduce these one at a time - and introduce a new one every 2 days - so you can experience what the effects are. How much improvement is seen with each one. I'd start with the Digestive Enzymes, Molybdenum and Gallbladder Nutrients - those three - one at a time - then add in the others. It's quite a bit there but gut health requires a lot of intervention as there's a LOT going on. Talk with your doctor about ordering a stool test from Doctors Data: In health, |
Is there any other time of day to take this? The period of waiting 1/2 hr in the Am doesn't fit my daily routine. I start my day with the electrolytes and Glutathione. Plus I take meds for Lupus, trying to wean from steriods. So i need to eat something. Love your products, have been taking them for years! Love all your valuable and insightful knowledge | Hi Paula - I hear you. What I often recommend is mixing a serving of Gut Nutrients in a liter of filtered water. Put in a water bottle. Sip throughout the day. It's best drinking slowly vs all at once. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch another company called your health basket sells this product and was wondering if you have heard of this company if not then I will avoid it ? I am saving £9.00 in comparison with amrita. Also the turmeric thats in this is it a superior version of any turmeric on the market ? | Hi Abbas - Yes, we sell directly to Health Basket. The curcumin we use is a standardized extract. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch I want to add in this product (please see link) https://www.nutriadvanced.co.uk/metaclear-60-tabs.html?gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAjwmYCzBhA6EiwAxFwfgIWxDfu06Xj_YShOrfcJ2LTu6Jwz5flXOWWmb1XqqU1SGPzI5wySNhoCnwYQAvD_BwE It contains milk thistle with the siliymarin and gut nutrients already contains silymarin are you able to do a quick check on this product to see if I am not overdosing on milk thistle please? Another thing is there any possibility of adding in another ingredient like lactoferrin and or colostrum to gut nutrients or take it separately ? as I read online that it's really for gut lining and support. | Hi Abbas - I would try Gut Nutrients on its own first before adding in another one. See how you do. If you need more support, then adding in colostrum or lactoferrin may be needed. Do note that these both contain dairy and dairy is often an issue for many people with gut issues. In health, |
Hi I would like to place an order for this product however as it incurs taxes for shipping I was wondering if I can get this from a third party distributor such as amrita nutrition? I went on their website and they still sell the old version of this product the optimal GI plus. Is this still OK to purchase the old stock as the ingredients are exactly the same ? And another thing is I am taking milk thistle already and your product contains milk thistle so I am worried that I will be overdosing on milk thistle as it contains 80% silymarin. Due to this should you take one or the other to avoid any complications ? | Hi Abbas - Amritas may carry it yes - and they are offering it with the older name of Optimal GI Powder as you saw. It is the same product. I'd stop using the other product that you are currently doing as it is not performing well enough for you. I'd mix 2 -3 scoops of Optimal GI Powder in a liter of filtered water - in a water bottle. Sip upon waking up and for a few hours throughout the day. The more you sip this and the longer you do it, the more supportive you are of your gut and stomach linings. It's best to sip over a longer period of time than all at once. In health, |
Currently I am taking the following supplements from a brand called nutri advanced which is gastroflux, glutagenics and marshmallow and gamma but the burning and warmth sensation in the abdomen is still present. What key nutrients are present in this product that will treat the burning ? | Hi Abbas - All of them. They are described below in the product description. Thank you Dr. Lynch |
Hi in the formula does the zinc carnosine contain PepZinGI ? Also why are there two zincs labelled ? And will gut-guard be considered ? | Hi Abbas - Yes, it is PepZinGI. We are working on getting our trademark ingredient contract in and we will reflect that on the next label. GutGuard is considered yes but it is so far inferior to what we are using currently so it's going to need a very good reason to switch. In health, |
hi does the gut nutrients contain gut guard within the DGL ingredient ? can I confirm has there been any other changes to the product instead of the product label ? | Hi Abbas - Product has not been changed - only the label and name. We do not use GutGuard. They state that 150 mg of their ingredient is needed for efficacy. They have 0.5% glycyrrhizin. We use 500 mg of DGL extract at 3% glycyrrhizic acid. Our DGL is 6x more potent for the active glycyrrizic acid. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch from your answers I am a bit confused you say in one post take 1/2 scoop or 1 scoop and take 1 scoop and then another scoop and mix it in water. Please confirm how many scoops are required for optimum efficiency? Also, if its 1 scoop a day how many mg would this be for each ingredient on the list ? | Hi Abbas - It depends on the person. Generally speaking, I recommend starting with 1/2 scoop mixed in about 6 oz of filtered water. Sip over 5 minutes first thing in the morning. Or - One may take a liter water bottle, fill with filtered water and put 2 scoops or so in there. Shake. Then sip this over a number of hours - say from morning until noon or so. You can drink whatever else you want as well like Optimal Electrolyte or filtered water or milk - whatever - in addition to the water bottle containing your Gut Nutrients. But first - I do recommend starting with 1/2 scoop and sipping slowly over a few minutes to see how you feel. It's best sipped over time. However much you take you can divide the amounts based on the serving size. The serving size is 2 scoops. So 1 scoop, divide everything by 1/2. Don't worry about how much nutrients you are getting. Go by how you are feeling. In health, |
Hello, I just received Gut Nutrients and have a question regarding one of the ingredients. In past, I was able to ask a question directly through the website, but no longer see that link to click, “ask a question”. The ingredient is “molybendulum”. I noticed the mg was quite high and wondered the reasoning. I took one capful today, with 10 oz of water, 30 minutes after eating, and noticed I felt very bloated an hour later. Curious of you had any insight … Kindly, Susan | Hi Su - The molybdenum is only at 50 mcg - that is not much at all. That is used to support healthy sulfur metabolism which is commonly an issue in those with gut issues. Gut Nutrients is best taken on an empty stomach - first thing in the morning upon waking. I recommend using 1/2 scoop in 8 oz of filtered water upon waking. Sip it over 5 minutes or so. Or, you can mix 2 scoops in a liter of filtered water and sip it throughout the day. You would eat as you usually do throughout the day - and you would simply sip this periodically between meals. It does well all day in the bottle no issues. You would want to sip it and finish it from morning upon waking up until about 3 PM - then stop by then. As discussed in the Gut Health Webinar yesterday for SHEI Members, I recommend people start with Gallbladder Nutrients first to start the gut healing. You would take 2 capsules of Gallbladder Nutrients before dinner to support healthy bile production and bile flow.* This is incredibly important for gut health and is the first place to start often. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, Would this be a good recommendation for heartburn? Any other suggestions would be appreciated. I started taking a probiotic. | Hi Denise - Be sure you are using a probiotic that does not increase histamine. If you are, it's going to aggravate your heartburn. ProBiota HistaminX supports healthy histamine levels and thus should support you.* I do agree with your thinking. The best way to use Gut Nutrients is to mix 1 scoop in a cup of filtered water. Sip it first thing in the morning. Then mix another scoop of Gut Nutrients in a glass of water. Sip it between meals. I would also limit histamine containing foods and drinks. If ingesting them, consider taking Histamine Digest with your meals. This supports healthy histamine levels.* Now, if you realize that low histamine is not supporting your gut and heartburn is still present, then it may be caused by a sluggish gallbladder or liver and bile. Consider taking 2 capsules of Gallbladder Nutrients before dinner. This could be very beneficial. Start here. You should notice improvement within 24 hours. In health, |
Does Dgl cause elevated blood pressure? I have heard mixed reports and I already have somewhat high blood pressure. Thanks! | Hi Stephanie - DGL does not increase blood pressure. GL does. In health, |
Does this product contain any artificial sweeteners? Or Stevia or Erythritol? I react to all of these. I have loved the herbal flavor and begrudgingly have agreed to order the Peach flavor because I know I need it, but will react to sweeteners of any kind except Monk fruit or plain old sugar. | Hi Sabah - Absolutely not. Many people react to those. I would love to use plain old sugar but it just has such a bad rap. Monk fruit is what we use mostly. In health, |
Would this product help if someone has trouble digesting lectins? My son has shown IgG reactive to all beans and other high lectin foods. But now I am wondering if it is more of a Mannose-Binding Lectin Deficiency issue. What products would you have to help? | Hi Jae - Lectins are difficult to digest. Heat appears to be the best way to digest them. That said, I do recommend the combination of:
This combination will support a healthy overall digestion. Additionally:
In health, These enzymes are broad spectrum meaning they work across a wide pH range and also support healthy digestion of many things such as plants, carbohydrates, fats, proteins. |
