Glutathione Plus Lozenge Dr. Lynch Q&AUpdated 6 days ago
Question | Answer |
I suffer from hormonal migraines which I have pretty well under control with magnesium, nightly gaba and progesterone, among other things. I'm interested in trying Glutathione but am worried it will increase my glutamate levels as they've been shown to be elevated already in migraine sufferers. Have you seen this with any of your customers? Any advice on what I should be taking to help with migraines, hormonal balance (female, age 37), and immunity boosting (we have three kids in school = germs)? We are sick pretty often during the fall/winter and I want to get ahead of it this year. Thanks! | Hi Jamie - Migraines are often associated with low serotonin and also a big drop in estrogen after ovulation - and these are connected. If you support healthy serotonin levels, then your risk for migraines goes down. Consider supporting healthy serotonin levels with Serotonin Nutrients.*
Additionally, consider for healthy blood flow:
For you and your kids to support a healthy immune system:
If you do get sick and want to support a healthy immune system, consider taking Immune Intensive and take daily after a meal.* Stop after a week or so. In health, |
Hello, I’ve been diagnosed with Mycobacterium in my lungs. I have a history of fungal meningitis 2019. I’m ready to get off the infectious disease program of antibiotics as I had a severe reaction. I need help to start. Thanks Lisa | Hi Lisa - A nutritional consultation with ElizmaLambert.com is recommended to provide you deeper underlying support. Supporting your immune system with a healthy environment, nutritional needs and food can be a lot of information and is. For nutritional support for a healthy immune system, consider:

My father has Parkinson's and his doctor recommend an IV once a week which he does not want to do. I'm assuming this would be so much better (and easier) for him! He would take one first thing every morning? I'm also wondering for myself, if this is good to take post international travel when dealing with jet lag etc. | Hi Jennifer - An IV of glutathione each week may be helpful but I do understand that it is a commitment in time and expense. The lozenge of glutathione does support healthy glutathione levels and quite fast as it's a lozenge. Consider:

Hello! Our well water test came back with elevated uranium and radon, and we need to invest in a whole house filter. Not knowing at all how long it's been like this, I want to start using theglutathioze lozenge for me, my husband and 2 kids (10 & 15 years old). We can't use our water moving forward, but we still have to do dishes and shower and be exposed that way until our system is installed. An overwhelming and scary find, so any advice would be so appreciated. | Hi Stephanie - I'm glad you found it! Using glutathione is definitely a good idea to support healthy detoxification.* A few things to consider additionally:

Hello, I am currently breastfeeding and interested in this product to help with some sensitivity I’m experiencing from the recent air quality issues from the Canadian wildfires (mostly sinus headaches). Just wondering if this is the right product for that and if you have any other recommendations safe for breastfeeding. Thank you!! | Hi Cherine - Yep - this is prefect. Additionally, consider:
Read this article on fire smoke and how to mitigate: Congratulations on your little one :) Do look for an air purifier that is good for filtering smoke and have it running in the rooms you are in most of the time. You may want to have a few different ones. I like using Alen Air Purifiers. In health, |
Thank you for your response regarding the implications of taking glutathione with mercury teeth fillings. I want to make sure I'm 100% clear about what I should be doing. Should I hold off taking glutathione until I replace my mercury based fillings? Or, is it safe to take it while the fillings remain? Tom R | Hi Tom - You may use glutathione while you have mercury fillings and it is a good idea to do so. You may want to use a mouth guard for sleeping so you are not grinding your teeth and releasing more mercury. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch. Would this product be good for my 18 year old daughter who has been diagnosed with exercise induced asthma . She takes Atrovent and Albuterol inhalers during exercise, swimming, horse back riding lessons, and running. She also has a long list of allergies, grass, pollen, dust mites, cat, dog, etc. When she swims she sometimes has reactions, skin and breathing, to the chlorine. She takes her nightly Zyxal. We’re looking for ways to treat these allergies and asthma without having to take medicines. Thank you for your guidance! | Hi Michelle - Exercise induced asthma is associated with:
I've educated health professionals on how to help their patients overcome this issue. Essentially, one needs to have healthy glutathione levels, healthy ATP levels and healthy histamine levels.* Consider:
These changes will help her a ton. :) Keep her medications the same. Only adjust with her health professional's guidance. You may notice she doesn't need as much support as she supports her nutrition and healthy physiology but do not stop the meds without consulting with her doctor. In health, |
Is this a good option for Lyme Disease? Thank you! | Hi Erika - Lyme disease is a multifaceted issue as you well know. Sauna is a great tool to add especially when combined with niacin, glutathione and electrolytes. Read this How to Sauna Guide and start implementing it :) One thing I'd add to this is using Niacin. Read about using nicotinic acid in higher amounts to establish a flush response. It will likely only take 50 to 100 mg of niacin to do this initially but after time, you'll need to keep doubling it in order to get the same effect. Do this before each sauna. Read this experience of someone using Niacin for sauna In health, |
Hello. I have been diagnosed with fatty liver disease as well as gallbladder dyskinesia. My gallbladder ejection fraction was 18%, a HIDA scan was performed. I am scheduled to have my gallbladder removed. After removal of the gallbladder would you recommend this product and any others to continue to support my liver? Thank you! | Hi Michelle - I'd sure like you to keep your gallbladder but need to trust your gut and your doctors. Typically, a gallbladder ejection fraction is bad due to high amounts of cholesterol stones. By supporting healthy bile production and bile flow, one could improve their ejection fraction. Regardless if you do remove your gallbladder or you don't, you will need to use the same supplements as suggested below:
This should help you a lot. In health, |
If I have mercury fillings in my teeth, should I be taking this product? If not, what would you recommend? | Hi Tom - Yes. The research shows that mercury is detoxified by glutathione so having healthy glutathione levels is important.* When talking with the top environmental medicine doctors in the world, they all feel that the Cutler Protocol is not valid. I also recommend getting the fillings out with a legit biological dentist. In health, |
Is this okay to take with Trace Minerals II? I noticed that both have selenium in them, and I am not educated on how much selenium we can take in a day. | The FDA's RDI (Reference Daily Intake) for selenium is 55 mcg for adults and children over 4 years. The National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommends that adults do not consume more than 400 micrograms (mcg) of selenium per day. This is the tolerable upper intake level (UL), meaning the maximum amount likely to cause no harm. The UL for children varies by age, with younger children having lower ULs. Always consult with your doctor if you are adding something new to your routine. |
Hi Dr Lynch, Since the new Optimal Man formula has Glutathione in it, is it redundant to also take these lozenges? I'm taking 2-3 caps of Optimal Man 5x per week. Thank you! | Hi Paul - Good point. I'd say it depends on your daily exposures. If you're not recovering from illness, not flying, not exposed to chlorine from pools or hot tubs or drinking water or formaldehyde from construction or alcohol or yeast - then you should have a decent amount as found in Optimal Man. The added DIIM is a nice addition, too :) Best, |
Hi Pregnant and soon it's time for labour. This is my third and this time I wanna avoid Tylenol after labour. Can I take this one or pqq? I'm sensitive to glutathione but doing amazing with pqq especially post workout. Any other recommendations for optimal postpartum healing? | Hi Anna - You may use either one. Consider:

I have never tolerated glutathione. I have tried different forms - Lipsomal , in a cream and capsules and have tried with the supportive nutrients - molybdenum , selenium etc However , I am able to have 1/2 lozenge of this with no side effects. So am curious if the form of glutathione in this product would really make that much a difference with regards to tolerance ... Seems to be a game changer for me ... | Hi Cath - Happy to hear ;) There are multiple factors with this formulation which is why it's so helpful to those typically sensitive to glutathione. It's the full synergy of the formulation. The form of s-acetyl glutathione is way more stable than reduced glutathione - so you're not getting oxidized glutathione right away as you would typically. The selenium supports the use of glutathione. The riboflavin supports the recycling of the used up and oxidized glutathione so it can be recycled back to reduced and readily available glutathione. The molybdenum supports sulfur metabolism which supports sulfite break down. I suspect the liposomal and cream had high amounts of oxidized unstable glutathione right when you bought it. I suspect the capsules used an inferior form and/or too much glutathione. More is not better. In health, |
Is there a reason glutathione would give headaches? My son has done fine on it but I have been getting headaches after taking it. I started with a whole tablet and then went down to half, but still get them. (It isn't severe but pretty pointed at my temples and behind my eyes). I also should say I started a zeolite spray after the glutathione (started very slow at half the recommended dose), so I don't know if it is the combination of the two and I am detoxing too fast, or if there is something about glutathione alone that can cause headaches. I definitely feel more clearheaded though, the headache is the only problem. | Hi Collins - Yes. It is known that glutathione can cause headaches. There is a sweet spot with glutathione. Too low will increase glutamate and too high will increase glutamate. Glutamate is an excitatory neurotransmitter. Consider:

Hi Dr Lynch! Trying to help husband - he has fatty liver, sleeping problems (falls asleep after dinner then wakes up after a few hours and can’t go back to sleep), we eat healthy but he loves to snack during the day and has belly fat (is tempted by Ozempic 😕), had kidney stones a few months ago, and now he has gout! I’m thinking Glutathione and Bile Nutrients?? Thoughts? | Hi Natalie - Good picks! :) He's gravitating towards snacking -which is driving up his belly fat, sleep, kidney stones, fatty liver - because his metabolic system isn't functioning well. We need to support him metabolically which then will help him have healthy results everywhere. I have a few things for you to consider:
The healthy testosterone support should help him have a healthy metabolic system.* Healthy metabolism reduces the urges to snack - so this is key. Keep me posted. He should feel something within 24 hours. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch, We have taken your kind advice and bought all the sups you recommended for dad and his afib. Electrolytes, optimal man & the fish oil. He has been taking them every day for about 2 weeks now and unfortunately no change in his pulse - still high and out of rhythm. It has however seemed to have helped slightly with the blood pressure which is good. But if we don't get that pulse down he is looking at another cardioversion and he doesn't want to do it. Are there any other possible suppliment you think may help for the afib? He is quite fit and healthy just getting old at 76 and we can't figure this mistry out! Thanks again. | Hi Svetlana - It would be nice to support him naturally. We can increase the interventions a bit more. He may need more specific cardio nutrients which support healthy heart rhythm - beyond what he is getting currently. Consider:

Question, can this cause any irritation in the esophagus? I noticed when I take a deep breath I cough. Would this be a side effect? I was taking another brand, it was a spray, you do 4 sprays twice a day. I started out with 2 sprays twice a day every other day. I ended up with cramping in my lower abdomen and lower back. I am a breast cancer survivor currently on tamoxifen. I do have some ovarian cysts which are common when taking tamoxifen. I thought the cramping was from the cysts, I had experienced this once before, I stopped the spray and felt better in a few days. I tried the spray again and noticed some lower back pain. My husband thinks maybe it's too much for me so I quit taking it. I purchased your product and have taken it only a few times, no cramping but I do notice that the heavy chest feeling is mildly back. Could this be a side effect? Also, does this help with congestion? When my sinuses are bad, I get tooth pain, which I am currently experiencing and was hoping this would help that. | Hi Nellie - Glutathione is an amazing nutrient but it can be taken in excess. I do not think it could contribute to irritation in the esophagus. I don't think that's related. Glutathione is a sulfur based compound. So you may be reacting unfavorably to the sulfur. There is molybdenum in the Glutathione Plus Lozenge but perhaps you need more. Consider:

Does this help with premature hair graying? Other factors contribute? I noticed my hair graying faster after taking Excedrin(acetaminophen/aspirin) for a couple of years for pain. | Hi John - Yep. Low antioxidant status, especially glutathione, is associated with more oxidative stress which is associated with graying of hair. Consider:

I have been alternating between the these lozenges and the Glutathione liquid for months now. I really like the product! It is safe to consume everyday for an extended amount of time ( I also take your NAC at a different time of the day). There seems to be a major difference in potency between the lozenge and liquid. Does the body absorb one vs the other better? I have been recently been dealing with body fatigue and waking too early and not being able to fall back asleep even though I'm tired. I don't have the energy or stamina in my workouts any longer and my cycle is also changing. I have not menstruated for over 40 days now (not pregnant-though we want to be!) I'm 41. Any suggestions, would be wonderful! Thank you! | Hi Kate - I'm happy to hear you're enjoying them! I'd experiment. We also have the Glutathione Plus capsules as well. Yes, the potency is different but the delivery system of the lozenge is just top notch. I only use the lozenge these days. I feel it the best. When I need to use more, I just take the bottle with me or keep it on my desk. I literally have a bottle of Glutathione Plus Lozenges, Brain Nutrients and Optimal Focus on my desk at work. When I feel a need, I decide which one I need and take one. You may just need to take it more frequently and you absolutely may. Consider:
These suggestions will help you a ton. Make sure your man is taking Optimal Man! ;) It's absolutely key for healthy sperm and a healthy child - not to mention simple fertility support.* In health, |
Hi, my dad had mitral valve surgery and an ablation nearly 2 years ago. All seemed well, however now he is going back into arterial fibrillation. Is this supplement any good for people suffering from AF. I was also looking at the coq10 and magnesium. Thank you kindly. | Hi Svetlana - You're on point. Magnesium is incredibly important for supporting healthy heart rhythm. I'd consider:
This should help him quite quickly. In health, |
Would this help w/mold exposure/active mold in a room in house? Are there other supplements you sell that would also help? Thanks! | Hi Sarah - Yes. I'm glad you're aware of this need and connection. Well done. Of course, we need to have the mold removed and the causes of why the mold got there removed and resolved. Consider:

Hello! I am trying to find something that may help with when I get a cold sore a few times a year during times of stress. I am a breastfeeding mom so I am taking prenatal essentials, vitamin d, organic sunflower lecithin, baby aspirin (for PAI1), and add on stress or joint nutrients as needed. I also have MTHFR (heterozygous A1298C) and PAI1 4G/5G. Could this help? Could lithium layered with stress nutrients also help keep me level during times of stress so this response doesn't happen? Does it have something to do with histamine? | Hi Chelsie - You're on a pretty solid program. Well done! ;) Let's support you a bit more. Consider:

I bought these a few months ago, opened them and then chickened out taking them. Seems everything does something weird to me. I am thinking of trying them now, like 1/4 tablet, BUT I live in Hawaii and even in a cool "dry" room here they have started to gather moisture, the B12 tabs do this too. Will they still be effective, just less potent? Also should I be keeping them in the frig? Thank you in advance, Laura | Hi Laura - My wife has one bottle of this in our bathroom drawer and it caused speckles as well. We didn't have a dessicant pack in it though - not sure why - probably removed it as it was annoying. They will be fine but yes, a bit less potent than before likely as water shortens and ruins the shelf life of supplements. Please keep tightly closed and make sure you keep the dessicant pack in there as well. You can keep them in the fridge, too - good idea. I recommend taking a 1/4 tablet like you're saying. ;) In health, |
After having long c*vid that attacked my tissues, I developed MCAS, and hypermobility. I also have high DAO per stratagene. We would like to conceive and had a miscarriage. My doc is recommending bi-monthly glutathione IV, but even just 100mg of liposomal glutathione was too much for me. So I’m interested in using the g-plus lozenge that you offer. I’ve been doing one a day for several months and felt less brain fog. So I’m wondering if I can do multiple spread through the day - and is it safe to do that while pregnant ? A different doctor is worried that taking Glutathione would stop my body from producing it, but prefers that I take NAC as a precursor. I’ve done that for quite some time, but notice no changes. The goal I’m seeking is helping MCAS triggered by c*vid 3 years ago - and reducing MCAS flares which lead to debilitating hypermobility, and what’s safe to continue in pregnancy. I’m also using your protocols to address MTHFR, DAO, and estrogen dominance. Thank you for all your help ! | Hi Melissa - I'm glad you are in tune with how you're feeling and responding to nutrients. That's a great skill. Glutathione does not permanently stop your body from making glutathione - that's nonsense. At the moment, while you're taking glutathione, yes, it will stop your body from making it. If you stop taking glutathione, and your glutathione levels become low, your body will resume making it again. It's a feedback system. Consider:

Hi! On a previous question you recommended this product. I ordered it but found it has malic acid as an ingredient. I have MCAS. Is this suitable with histamine reactions? Thank you! (my question was in regard to the magnesium I ordered and am using but still experiencing leg cramps and you suggested I try this also in the morning as well as Optimal Electrolyte (which I'm already using), Thank you! Julie VonGunten | Hi Julie - Yes this is great for those who need to support healthy histamine levels. I'd consider adding a bit of additional salt to the Optimal Electrolyte - say 1/4 tsp - if the cramps are still present despite using 2-3 servings a day of Optimal Electrolyte. In health, |
I saw a functional med doctor about 5 months ago. I had the Genova 3001 NutraEVAL plasma blood & Urine test. The doc said it shows i have a lot of oxidative stress, low glutathione and all my B vitamins were in the low zone except for folate. I was surprised because I consider myself a healthy person exercising often and eating clean. She recommended I get IV Myers cocktail with added glutathione once a month for about 4-5 months. I did do one of these Iv regimens. Then I found you online and listened to several podcast interviews you did. In one i think you said the half life of IV glutathione is very short. So I wondered if I am wasting my money paying for the IV route. I have started taking your Glutathione lozenges, 1/2 tablet once a morning. I have never felt bad and really have not noticed any difference in the way I feel when I got it IV or when taking the lozenges. But I am concerned about unknown toxins I am unaware of so am continuing with your lozenges. I did move into a newly built home about 2 years ago and I heard you also say that can be a source of toxins so I wonder if this is my issue. My questions are - In my situation should I invest the dollars in the IV glutahione for a while along with taking your lozenges or is it enough to just take the lozenges - I am 5'1 , 110 lns, Is half a tablet once a day of the Glutathione Lozenges sufficient in my situation - how accurate is a blood test to check glutathione level? Is their a particular test that is better than another for this that I should eventually have it rechecked? - Should I have the MTFHR gene test since all my b vitamins were on the low side except for the folate? - Are IV Myers cocktails the best way to get my B vitamins up to par or is taking a daily B multivitamin, with the methylated work well enough? Thank you! | Hi Kelly - I'm glad your doctor ordered that test. Low levels of inflammation and oxidative stress are often present in all of us. You're not alone on this. Exercise actually increases oxidative stress - it is a stressor. I'm not saying stop exercising but consider working out not as hard or as often - or support your workouts better before and after. Consider:
I don't like using IV glutathione - I find it is way too much way too fast. It's best to support glutathione and B vitamins on a more gradual incremental basis. Consider taking the glutathione lozenges a couple times a day. I highly recommend a sauna as well. This is fantastic for detoxification. I recommend the High Tech Health sauna. I've been using and recommending their sauna for nearly 30 years. Mention my name to save $500 ( I do receive a commission). Our HQ in WA state has one of their saunas - our team loves it. Blood tests for glutathione aren't that great. Instead, measure serum GGT and lipid peroxides. I also don't bother with spending money on glutathione testing. I just take it nearly every day to support healthy glutathione levels. There are some days I take more (after exposures like flying, car travel, sun exposure, wood stove smoke) and other days I take less (vacation, being lazy, feeling good) See how you feel with 1/2 a lozenge and then if you feel better with just this amount, you're good. If you feel nothing, take 1 lozenge fully. Then, later in the day as your head gets heavy and thinking a bit slower, have a glass of Optimal Electrolyte and another serving of Glutathione - say 1/2 to 1 - to support a healthy clear head.* In health, |

Hi! I’m not sure if this is the supplement I want, but also not really sure what is. I am writing for my father in law. He had triple bypass surgery about 2 months ago. Since then, he has been in and out of afib maybe 3 times since then and converted every time. He has received 3 iron infusions as his iron was low. His iron is in range now but I’m not sure if still low normal. Would a complete iron panel help? He drinks one serving of your optimal electrolyte daily. He is working closely with his doctors, but is there anything else he can do to support a healthy heart rhythm? I’m thinking he takes a potassium pill among his 3 prescriptions. My mother in law was giving 1/2 a lozenge of your methylfolate and b12 but not sure if we should continue. I know he is frustrated and I’m sure at this point anxious as well. We are open to any suggestions you might have! | Hi Steph - I'm sorry to hear about your father-in-law. Surgery, especially triple bypass surgery, is hard on the body. Continue with the Optimal Electrolyte. But you have to check if he is taking a potassium pill. If he is you have to discuss with his doctor whether he may be taking too much. Methyl B12 with L-Methylfolate will continue to support his methylation processes which may need some help at the moment. Glutathione levels tend to drop and glutamate levels tend to increase post-surgery. Even though it has been 2 months since I still feel Glutathione Plus Lozenge may be good for him. It certainly won't hurt. Check his iron again at some point, just to make sure it's staying stable. Other things to consider for him:
These are just some contributing factors to arrhythmias post-bypass surgery. Let us know how he goes, |
I have been taking several of Seeking Health products containing xylitol. It was brought to my attention this summer about that researchers found higher amounts of the sugar alcohol xylitol circulating in your blood are associated with increased risk of cardiovascular events like heart attack and stroke. The same research team found a similar link between erythritol and cardiovascular risk last year. I am not sure if you are aware of this research but would be interested in your thoughts. Here are the links to a couple articles. https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38842092/ and https://newsroom.clevelandclinic.org/2024/06/06/cleveland-clinic-led-study-links-sugar-substitute-to-increased-risk-of-heart-attack-and-stroke I also would be interested to know how much xylitol is in each product that you have that contains it. I look forward to your response. Thanks. | Hi Gay - I'm familiar with this research. A friend of mine, Mike Mutzel, went over this research on his popular channel and found it poorly done. In short, it's not the ingredients causing the issues. "In obesity and metabolic disease, glucose and fructose are converted into erythritol." We use just enough to bind the ingredients together in our chewables and lozenges. We are talking less than a gram. We use birch bark derived xylitol over magnesium stearate because it delivers the nutrients better. I would save a ton of money if I used magnesium stearate in our chewables and not birch derived (not GMO corn) xylitol. In health, |
My daughter is 24. Has MTHFR mutation. Was given IV anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal. Healthy otherwise, but came out of anesthesia having mioclonic type jolts. This was 2 years ago and she still has those jolts. A lot when she’s getting sick or stressed. Prior to the surgery, she has never had these. Would the Glutathione Plus Lozenges help detox whatever it is causing her to do this. She’s had EEG and catscan of the brain and they say it looks fine. Is this a result of the MTHFR mutation. If this will detox her, how much should I give her and should she be on these forever? She also has migraines a lot. | Hi Stacie - I hear you on this. It's possible yes. Hello. I think I was exposed to the dangerous type of asbestos when my building (I have a rental) removed an old pipe incorrectly. Is there a supplement from you I can take to help mitigate any harm? | Hi Kate - Asbestos is not really eliminated from the body or broken down. It is known to deplete glutathione so you're correct in looking at supplementing with glutathione. "Among the pathogenic mechanisms proposed by which asbestos can cause diseases involving epithelial and mesothelial cells, the most widely accepted one is the generation of reactive oxygen species and/or depletion of antioxidants like glutathione." Nicely chosen :) I'd also consider:

Hi Dr lynch I live in ga and purchased glutathione for my family and I. You said yo give 1/2 a lozenge to the kids but for how long should I give it to them? Us too how long should we take glutathione for | Hi Alejandra - Glutathione is one of those supplements that is great for our entire lives. You use it when you need it and don't when you don't. What's great about this glutathione lozenge is that it is low dose so you can take 1/2 a lozenge most mornings and feel great. You can also just take 1/2 to 1 lozenge every other day. I typically take 1/2 to 1 lozenge of this daily. I usually like taking 1/2 a lozenge at a time - and then take another 1/2 later in the day. It's best when taking with a glass of Optimal Electrolyte as this combination really supports a clear healthy head. Play with it. They key is knowing how the glutathione and electrolytes make you feel - and then pay attention how you feel many hours without them - and then when you take them, how do you feel? For me - the heavy head is the biggest sign that I need to hydrate and I need a bit of glutathione. In health, |
Hi Dr. When I took glutathione lozenge my tongue got bitter taste and blue line appeared on it .and at same time my middle of back was sudden feel so cold .can you please explain what’s going on . Thank you in advance | Hi S - The blue is due to the PQQ reacting to the pH and your microbiome. It's a natural reaction and it goes away. I have found that the more people use it, the less blue occurs. I'm not sure why this is but it must be due to the pH adjustment. The temperature difference I cannot explain. Maybe that was the sourness that caused that? In health, |
Can these lozenges be smushed or broken into tinier pieces for a 1.5-2 year old to take without choking? | Hi Lisa - Absolutely. You can take 1 lozenge and put it on the clean and dry counter. Then, push down firmly with a spoon. Then you can give the smaller pieces to your child. In health, |
Hello Dr. Lynch - I recently had my 13 year old daughter start taking this to support her brain fog and difficulty waking in the morning. She’s in a minor flare of her PANS/PANDAS as well. The first day she took it she had a quarter lozenge spaced 4times throughout the day and had the best day she’s had in a very long time. The next morning she woke up on her own before 11 am and she hasn’t been able to do that in months, in fact she can sleep until 1 or 2 most days and is impossible to wake (no phone at night and she’s not up doing anything, she just seems to need 13 or 14 hours of sleep daily, and still is fatigued all the time (she’s had bloodwork done abs seen multiple doctors to rule out anything serious). Getting back - after she woke up she took a full lozenge and had another very good day until the early ending when she was having hot flashes and headache (she never complains of headaches). This morning she was difficult to wake again, and took half a lozenge upon waking. Now my biggest concern - the last two days she’s suddenly, constantly twisting her hair. She’s bitten her lower lip raw, and today she was incessantly scratching one fingertip with her nail to the point of soreness. These scream OCD , and she’s had OCD during her P/P flares but it never presented with these particular behaviors. Could it be the glutathione? I know NAC is often given for trichotillomania, and NAC is a precursor to glutathione, so my gut data it’s related. Thank you!! | Hi Deborah - Good summary - thank you. I think she's taking too much glutathione which is sulfur related and too much sulfur can contribute to a variety of side effects. The headache after taking a full lozenge is a classic too much glutathione symptom. There's a sweet spot to glutathione and, while she's doing well with it, she exceeded that sweet spot. Consider:
Additionally, I believe these may support as well but start with the above things first:

My glutathione tested low on a Dutch test. Should I take NAC or glutathione to help raise levels? My doc says NAC is better but reading your reviews for each I’m just not sure - I’m so confused which one to take. Thank you! | Hi Belinda - Just to clarify, the glutathione marker on the DUTCH test (i.e. pyroglutamate) is not a direct glutathione marker. It rather provides information on glutathione recycling. To answer your question, both NAC and glutathione may raise your glutathione levels. One is not necessarily better than the other. However, there may be reasons why one works better than the other in certain individuals. For example:
There are other factors as well. Both may work equally well for you. I typically determine which one to use in my clients based on their health history of which your Dr. will know more about. I know this doesn't provide you with a simple answer, but hopefully, it's helpful :). Regards, |
Hello! Will this help with exercise induced asthma? My daughter is 15 and was just diagnosed. She has an inhaler but is still having issues. I'd let to get her off the inhaler and heal her a different way. What do you recommend she can take to help? | Hi Jill - Low glutathione is indeed associated with breathing issues in all ages. Consider:
This should help a lot. In health, |
My son (7 years old) will have a abdominal CT scan with contrast. Any advice how can I help him to detox it? Can glutathione help with it? | Hi Ruby - A lot of this depends on how the contrast is administered. I'm going to assume your son's will be via enema. This could be a barium-sulfate, iodine-based, or gadolinium-based contrast. The American College of Radiology (ACR) states this advice for women who are breastfeeding would not breastfeed their babies for 24 - 48 hours after contrast medium is given. This would indicate that the expectation is that contrast would have been eliminated by the body in about 48 hours. However, there is no harm in taking extra precautions. Here are some suggestions:
Good luck :). |
What reference source do you recommend for awareness and avoidance of supplement and medication interactions especially in regards to post surgery continued pain medication, blood thinner, and blood pressure medications. | Hi Kerri Most of these aren't that useful. DrugDigest was pretty useful. I would leave these to a health professional - specifically a naturopathic physician or a functional medicine doctor. In health, |
Hello! I am writing on behalf of my brother in law. He had asked me to research berberine to help his high blood pressure, help him lose weight, and also help his erectile dysfunction. He is 51 and on blood pressure medication, but he wants to heed a healthier lifestyle and help his body more naturally. He has already begun losing weight so he knows there are lifestyle changes to make as well. I know you don’t sell berberine but my first thought was maybe glutathione and optimal electrolytes. Wondering if you might have other suggestions for him as well. I’d like to add that because of help you and Elizma provided my family, everyone is asking me for help. You are starting a movement which I think is amazing, and I’m glad to be a part of it. | Hi Stephanie - I'm helping out in answering some questions that we are receiving. I'm so humbled by your kind comment :). It means a lot.🙏 Yes, Dr. Lynch is very passionate about helping people. As someone behind the scenes, I can testify to his drive to get people the help they need. I'm glad to hear your brother is pursuing a healthier lifestyle. He's at a crucial age to do so. If he has erectile dysfunction and high blood pressure then it sounds like he may have a slow NOS3 enzyme.* I'd also suggest he get his homocysteine levels checked by his healthcare provider. Berberine may help with high blood sugar and weight loss, but I'm not aware that it improves blood pressure. Here would be my suggestions for your brother-in-law:
Make sure he checks with his healthcare practitioner. All the best :) |
Hi! Writing from Atlanta Ga- not in the evacuation site but closer than I’d like. I have a 5 year old (45lbs) and 10 year old (90lbs). What’s the best/safest thing for them to supplement? | Hi Constance - The 1/2 lozenge of Glutathione Plus lozenge is great along with 1/2 a scoop of Optimal Electrolyte. Do a few times a day during the peak exposures and reduce as exposures go down. The Kids Multivitamin Chewable MF is a great option as well. Consider 1/2 to 1 chewable AFTER breakfast. Do not give on an empty stomach or just a snack. In health, |
Georgian here, just saw your post about the chemical exposure and using Glutathione. We all have fast COMT as well as MTHFR 677CT, are the lozenges ok for us? | Hi Stacey - Yes for sure. SNPs in those genes do not impact one's need for glutathione or one's ability to utilize glutathione. The lozenges are great for you. I recommend starting with 1 lozenge as soon as you get it. Bite it once or twice. Then let it dissolve fully slowly. Then swallow. You should feel your head clear. If you don't, then add in Optimal Electrolyte and hydrate. If still not feeling head clear after 10 minutes, then get another lozenge of Glutathione Plus. Use frequently in this current time and then taper down as things calm down. Best to you and your family, Dr. Lynch |
If ever exposed to mold would this help ? With removal of the mold of course. | Hi Freddy - Yes. If you have mold biotoxins in your body then Glutathione Plus Lozenge will help. Make sure you also use a binder of some kind. Depending on the mold biotoxin I would consider binders such as activated charcoal and/or clinoptilolite. Regards, |
Are these ok to give a 3.5 year old? Would it be given on a regular basis? | Hi JS - As needed. Yes. We're all exposed to chemicals on a daily basis so supporting healthy glutathione levels is a good idea.* Some tips:
Watch out for side effects of too much glutathione:
If they have any of those symptoms, consider reducing the amount and frequency of use. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, How long are these good for? I see a date on them of when they were made, but I don't see a use-by date or guideline on how long these will be effective. I have noticed that some of the pills I have are starting to discolor. How long should we expect these lozenges to be good for after the made by date or after opening? Thanks for all your wisdom and guidance, Kacy | Hi Kacy - An expiry date is only permitted if there are actual test results to back up the shelf-life claim. If we didn't include an EXP date then it means we can't make a claim on its shelf-life date. Only it's manufacturing date. You can reduce the risk of discoloration by refrigerating tablets. I hope this helps :). Regards, |
Hi Dr Lynch I have tried all forms of Glutathione...your Liposomal, Lozenge and even Brain Nutrients. No matter the dosage, frequency or pulsing, I always feel really sad on the days I take it. Really sad "in my heart" (if you get what I mean). I'm really struggling with menopause, specifically connective tissue (ligaments, tendonitis) soreness and tearing, depression, brain fog, water retention, weight gain...you name it, but mostly depression, gloomy (suicidal type) thoughts, focus, etc. Im extremely methyl sensitive and do far better with a low sulphur diet and methyl free. CBS snips. My question is... I struggle with my GPS gene sensitivity.... chemical smells, plastic smells, toxic overload...you get the picture. How can I support my MTHFR methyl and detox pathways with my CBS gene mutation making taking the likes of glutathione etc seemingly impossible? I do take your HydroxB12, Adrenal Cortex, Molybdenum, Zinc lozenge, Calcium d Glucarate, Chewable Digestive Enzyme, Histamine Digest and occasionally Optimal Electrolytes (causes constipation). I read your post on low serotonin and alcohol making things feel better (worse the next day). That's me. Considered taking Serotonin Nutrients but can't take Tumeric. Also tried your Lithium Orotate for MAOA snip. Not great...nor Inositol. What say you? Thank you for all you do. My life is so much better because of what I have learned from you. Tracee | Hi Tracee - Curious why you cannot take the turmeric. To support serotonin, consider trying just 5-HTP at 50 mg and you may need to take it 3 times a day. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch! I have been taking this for four days to help fight covid but two things have happened in addition! I got my period randomly after 57 days since my last one. I have suspected PCOS and I have been trying to get my period regular for the past year since getting off the birth control pill. Also a wart I've had for probably a year or two is completely gone now. Would this have anything to do with these things? I'm blown away, your products are incredible. Unrelated but I am going to start giving my mom this as she struggles with joint pain, hip pain and slow recovery from workouts. She is 54 and we think she is going through menopause too. She is coming off of Tirzepatide this month and we want to know how to support her in maintaining her weight and supporting her health. With being on this drug she has had some side effects, such as clogged ears and constipation. She also has thyroid disease and takes Armour for that. She has also been on various forms of birth control since age 19. She currently has the Mirena IUD. I just want to know what you would recommend to help with these things. Thank you! | Hi Malorey - :) Glutathione is pretty amazing. Keep it up :) One thing to keep in mind with glutathione is use it when you need it and don't when you don't. If you feel good, skip using it. If you feel like you need it, then use it. Side effects of too much glutathione are headaches. For your mom, consider:

Greetings Dr Lynch, I just placed my first order for Optimal Electrolytes and MultiVitamin Plus(Optimal). I have been diagnosed with CLL Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia and wanted to know if these are supportive supplements, any ingredients I should avoid, and would Glutathione Plus Lozenge be helpful? Thanks for your response, Nancy | Hi Nancy - I highly recommend reading the book, The Metabolic Approach to Cancer. The Optimal Electrolyte is supportive and recommended. I would not take the multivitamin or glutathione at the moment. I am not familiar with Dr. Winters' course but I do recommend some more thorough training and her book is fantastic so it makes me think this could be as well: This course may not be the right for you - but I would reach out to her and see what she recommends. Please do return the multivitamin back to us and we will refund you. In health, |
Hi I have a few things going on I am a 2x breast cancer survivor who has MTHFR A1298C, MTRR A66G but also hetero for COMT V158M, COMT H62H, CBS C699T. I get insomnia / hot flashes from chemical menopause from lupron leterzole. Treatment also kicked off lipedema . Do you have any recommendations for support? I read the lozenge would be good for mthfr but I am reluctant because of glutathiones role in cancer metabolism . Thank you! | Hi Sarah - Wow. You are a fighter. Lupron reduces sex hormones, including estrogen, which can affect the way women process fats. This is why a lot of women tend to put on weight post-menopause as estrogen levels drop. Cancer biochemistry is quite complex, so I urge you to work with your healthcare practitioner here. But below are some of my thoughts. Cancer has a lot of duplicity. Typically when cancer is active we want to avoid glutathione, glutamine, NAD, and methylation nutrients. However, deficiencies in these nutrients can often kick-start cancer. During active cancer, cancer cells or tumors are 'over-methylating' and normal cells are 'under-methylating'. I don't like these terms, but it's the best way I can describe it. If you are cancer-free then supplements like Glutathione Plus Lozenge or methylation support should be beneficial to you.* I would highly recommend the DIM + I3C as well as it promotes healthy estrogen metabolism.* One of the most common reasons why there is such a high rate of cancers returning is because the underlying biochemical imbalances, such as methylation, do not get addressed. Some other considerations for breast cancer: Make sure you are not being exposed to xenoestrogens in the environment. All the best :). Regards, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, I wanted to ask what products you would recommend for my mom who went through cancer treatments (chemo, radiation, surgery, and immunotherapy) in then last year. She's done with all her treatments and has regained quite a lot of her energy back, but still struggles especially with the summer heat. I am pretty sure that she should take the Glutathione Plus Lozenge, but what else would you recommend to help her recover from the the harshness of the cancer treatments? She also struggles (even before cancer) with bouts of low sodium. She uses an electrolyte drink (not Seeking Health) and sometimes drinks V 8 juice, but still struggles to keep it up to normal levels. Any suggestions for that too? Thank you so much! Jessica | Hi Jessica - Congratulations to your mom! Here are some considerations:

Hi, I have a host of issues: fibromyalgia, mixed connective tissue, so my bones muscles and joints hurt constantly, I also have nerve issues. All day whole body. I also have mthfr I just started a bioactive b complex. What are your recommendations? I only take Advil when I can’t stand the pain because I’m not a fan of all the drugs doctors wanted me on. Thank you for all you do! | Hi Diana - Consider:
This should help significantly ;) In health, |
What are the natural flavors in this? Can you make this without them! :) ALSO - can you take this with liver nutrients? | Hi Katie - Here's the information on our natural flavors: If you want a glutathione without natural flavors, we have the Glutathione Plus capsules that you may use. You absolutely may combine with Liver Nutrients. In health, |
Hi Dr Lynch. I was wondering if this supplement would possibly be beneficial for someone who has the following variations, among others. MTHFR C677T + MTHFR A1298C, COMT 472G > A , eNOS 894G>T GSTM1 Deletion. I’m taking Seeking Health Multivitamin One, Methyl B12 with L-Methylfolate, Vitamin C Plus, & Optimal Electrolyte. I have chronic fatigue and don’t sleep well on top of it. Any advice you might have for me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you. | Hi Michelle - Absolutely. I believe most people will benefit from supporting themselves with glutathione as we are all bombarded with stress from chemicals, infections, and anxiousness. Consider:
Use Multivitamin One only on days you need it and skip it on days you feel good. In health, |
I had taken the Glutathione Plus Lozenges about 2 or 3 times before and spaced them out over a few days to see how I felt. I felt fine. However, after taking my 4th Lozenge I had an allergic reaction about 1 minute after taking it. My face became very flushed, my neck became red and itchy, and my forearms to my elbows also became red with a minor rash and very itchy. I had been fasting for about 18 hours and don't know if that's what caused the reaction. However, my previous days of taking them, I took them on an empty stomach and no reaction. | Hi Laura - I'm not sure if a coincidence or not. After a fast like that, I'd first consider sipping a glass of Optimal Electrolyte first. Then after hydrating, then use 1/2 to 1 lozenge of Glutathione Plus. Perhaps the fasting really pushed your detoxification pathways too hard and glutathione accelerated it. Next time you fast, well done btw, consider taking a capsule of Calcium D Glucarate prior to fasting and a capsule of Acetyl L Carnitine to support healthy detoxification and healthy fat mobilization.* In health, |
I have been advised by my healthcare provider to take Glutathione, but he has no answer for how I might take it given that it gives me serious intestinal distress that can linger for days. Identical to the distress I experience ingesting high-sulfur content foods. I have had to remove high sulfur foods from my diet entirely. I was told to add Molybdenum when eating sulfur containing foods, but that only works with such things as raw or cooked broccoli on occasion, but not with such things as onion or garlic or Glutathione. And even broccoli, if I were to eat it numerous days in a row, the Molybdenum ultimately is no longer effective. Any thoughts or suggestions how I might be able to add Glutathione, which I know would be very helpful for an auto-immune condition and dousing the systemic inflammation I suffer? Sincere thanks for any helpful advice regarding Glutathione use in such cases. | Hi Kurt - I suspect there is an overgrowth of hydrogen sulfide bacteria in your small intestine and possibly large intestine. What is the difference between Selenium Glycinate, Selenium Cysteine, SelenoYeast, and Seleno Methionine in each formulas? Any one of them is better at absorbing than the other? | Hi Bijan - These are all chelated forms of selenium which are all well absorbed. We do not use minerals that are not chelated as they are tough on the stomach and do not absorb well. In health, |
I have read that glutathione may be helpful for inflammation. I have had mildly elevated liver enzymes over the last couple years- all scans/workups show normal liver/gallbladder function. I feel as though it’s inflammation related to GI issues. I am wondering if this could be helpful? | Hi KJ - Glutathione is very supportive of healthy inflammation levels.* While I do recommend taking 1/2 to 1 lozenge of Glutathione Plus most mornings, I do also think you should add in Liver Nutrients. Liver Nutrients is gentle yet supportive of healthy liver and gallbladder function.* Consider taking 1 capsule of Liver Nutrients with any meal of the day and do most days. Additionally, consider:

¿El glutathione proviene de alguna levaduras? ¿Hay fermentación en el producto final de Glutathione? Tengo intolerancia a la hostamina y no tolero los fermentados | Hi Dei - This supplement supports those who have high levels of histamine as it supports healthy glutathione levels.* In health, |
Can you take this at the same time as Brain Nutrients? | Hi Amy - Yes you may if you feel you need additional glutathione. What I recommend is taking one of these upon waking up in the morning, and then the other, say about an hour or two later in the day. I find that spacing these two out with some time is generally more effective and better tolerated. In health, |
Hi! Our 16 year old daughter tested slight elevated for Mycotoxin Ochratoxin A (OTA) in her urine (9.08, normal level less than 7.5). She has been taking one of your glutathione lozenges every other day for the past 4 months to support detox. Symptoms: eczema rash on her leg and elbow that wont go away (several environmental allergies, eczema since birth), fatigue, anxiety, trouble with focus, microscopic blood in urine for at least 7 years of unknown cause, PANS in 2017. Should we up the glutathione lozenge to one every day, or do you have any other product recommendations to help her to detox from the mold mycotoxin and with the other symptoms? | Hi Liz - My first question - is she still exposed to mold? That must be identified and dealt with fully - 100%. Consider:

I'm curious, what could be the reason I feel very hungry within an hour of taking a glutathione lozenge? | Hi Pam - Well observed ;) I suspect it is because you have supported your mitochondria and your mitochondria support the production of energy. Production of energy consumes glucose and nutrients - and a depletion of glucose and nutrients increases hunger sensation. This is a positive thing and one that may actually benefit those who lack hunger and wonder why they do. Possibly those that are not hungry are low glutathione and high oxidative stress - not just 'poor or weak digestion.' In health, |
Hi, Why does my tongue turn blue while using the lozenges? | Hi Tiffany - This is due to the microbial fermentation of PQQ. It reacts with your oral microbiome. I've noticed that the more you take it, the less blue color occurs. Why? I'm not sure but it may be an indication of a healthier microbiome and related to oral pH. In health, |
I have a follow-up question to this, what about taking this during the end of sickness when it's a very long drawn out one, like covid or pneumonia cough that just wont go away, chronic sinus infections, things like that? What is the downside to taking it during sickness, is it that the body won't make its own? What about with Lyme or a very weak immune system, where there's always something small lingering? Finally, if you need to take a medication that is known to deplete glutathione particularly during a sickness, would it make sense to supplement with it then? Thanks as always for your help and insight! | Hi Kayla - After one is done being sick, then it's very important to reestablish healthy glutathione levels. The lungs naturally store a lot of glutathione and after a sickness, this glutathione store runs very low to empty. If a sickness is prolonged and becoming chronic, then adding glutathione to support a healthy immune response is recommended. For acute illness where one is doing well, then I do not recommend glutathione until after the sickness is over. If taking glutathione while one is sick, it may neutralize the free radicals the immune system is generating in order to kill the infection. This obviously defeats the purpose. Low glutathione levels are associated with an inability to generate a fever. So if one is sick and not able to generate a fever, then the sickness will be prolonged as fever is your body's way to kill and eradicate infections. If this is the case, glutathione is needed to support a healthy fever response.* In health, |
This might be a silly question, but can I just let the lozenge dissolve without biting? It biting and light chewing necessary if I'm just letting the whole thing melt? Also, it says it may be helpful after being sick, but is it okay to take during sickness? | Hi Kayla - You can yes. I like biting it once and letting it dissolve. Maybe I'm just impatient :) I do not recommend taking Glutathione while being sick UNLESS you are experiencing a very high fever and need to support a healthy fever OR you are not experiencing a fever at all and want to support a healthy fever.* While sick, consider supporting your healthy immune system with Immune Intensive.* Take 1 serving after a meal as needed. You may find that you need 2-3 servings a day during acute illness to support a healthy immune response.* Always take it with food as the zinc will make you feel blech on an empty stomach. You can definitely hydrate while sick so I highly recommend Optimal Electrolyte and sip a couple servings or so when sick to support healthy hydration.* In health, |
Hi, I don't have gallbladder, mthfr detected and lipoedema. Everytime I take Gluthataion from other brands my eye start tweaking a lot for days even months, despite If i take Gluthataion or msm once. Can I take this one without side effects? Thanks | Hi Mary - Hard to say. I'd say we should focus on something else first. Consider:
These two supplements are supportive of your liver's ability to work with lipid levels in a gentle manner. In health, |
I’m not sure where to ask this question so I choose this supplement as i read it helps with A1C. I just got blood work back and my A1C went high - from my normal 5.4 to 5.9 - its been almost two years since I have had this test so its hard to say how long there was an issue. Do you have supplement suggestions for this problem? My diet is good tho have been have more carbs lately, been taking Bergamot for cholesterol which has always been high and trying to get it down - those results are pending…. Thanks for your help. | Hi Cyndi - You're thinking is correct. Supporting healthy glutathione levels is extremely important for supporting healthy glucose levels.* If you are consuming excessive carbs lately, you have to ask yourself why.
After meals, go for a 10-15 minute walk. It doesn't have to be intense - just go for a walk. It really helps support healthy glucose levels. In health, |
Would glutathione help with “systemic” poison oak? My 22yo son had a bad reaction to poison oak. We were told it could be systemic. He’s now got a rash that looks like poison oak although he hasn’t gotten into poison oak. Wondering if glutathione would help get it out of his system? Relieve symptoms? Help in any way? Thank you! | Hi Julie - Ouch! I highly recommend the following:
As he improves, he can adjust the intake as needed. In health, |
Could I benefit by using binders with detox supplements like glutathione or liver nutrients? Make sure the toxins leave my system instead of ending up somewhere else? | Hi Jim - It depends on what is going on. Glutathione typically does not need binders the way it performs as it breaks down compounds into safer compounds that don't need binding. Now when taking things like Gallbladder Nutrients, Calcium-D-Glucarate or possibly Liver Nutrients, yes, taking binders may be useful. I've been researching binders and it's difficult finding a clean one which is one reason why we don't have one. Making sure you have a healthy bowel movement a couple times a day is very important - so transit time is important. Consider Gallbladder Nutrients or Calcium-D-Glucarate to support a healthy transit time for bowels. In health, |
Hi Dr. Lynch, Can I take this if I'm already detoxing by taking Zeolite & Fulvic Acid? Both my MTHFR genes are mutated (cardiovascular). My ANA shows Lupus or PsA, the symptoms started approximately 4 years ago. I take 4.50 mg of LDN to help and my ANA has gone from 1:128 to 1:320, taking LDN for 2 years now. I just ordered your Multivitamin One MF and Optimal Electrolyte which I'm excited to get started on and I'm currently reading your book which I love! Also any advice with just being diagnosed with pre-diabetes? Thank you for any advice! | Hi Kathy - Yes you may. Make sure you use Multivitamin One MF only in the mornings with a protein based breakfast when you NEED it. If you wake up tired, low mood and low energy, consider a capsule of Multivitamin One MF otherwise skip it and don't take it. You may find that you need this multivitamin only a few days a week. I find that it has a lasting effect. Consider 1/2 to 1 lozenge of Glutathione Plus Lozenges in the morning immediately upon waking up in the morning, You may want to do 1/2 in the morning and another 1/2 in the afternoon. That's what I often do unless I feel my head really needs support then I will take a full one. In the morning also upon waking, I'd take 1 capsule of Joint Nutrients and another capsule before bed. This supports healthy levels of inflammation and healthy joints.* It works quite fast as well. Pre-Diabetes: I'd consider going for a walk after each meal. This helps a lot. I'd also consider lifting some weights even if light. Or walking with some light barbells or ankle weights. Make sure you are eating more protein than carbs on your plate. Consider going gluten-free and cow dairy free as well. I use goat dairy and tolerate it very well. I do not do well from cow dairy. In health, |
Hello, I purchased this one upon your recommendation on my last question after getting side effects with the capsule one, I’m currently getting treated for mold exposure with Itraconazole , I had another mold exposure yesterday and started feeling sick again. Today I took 1 Glutathione Plus Lozenge to try and get the mycotoxins faster but shortly after I’ve gotten anxiety again, feel jittery , restless and have a headache. It’s definitely not as intense reaction like with the capsule but it’s still there. Why can this be? Should I be supplementing with something different before taking it? Is there a way to help with the side effects? | Hi Paloma - I suspect you may be dehydrated. Few things:

I had labs done and dr said my glutathione levels were the lowest she had ever seen in real life. She advised glutathione IVs which I did weekly for 7 weeks getting up to 1600mg. I feel no difference in anything. My labs said very high oxidative stress. Would these lozenges be helpful if the high dose IV made no difference? | Hi Bethany - IV Glutathione treatments are expensive and can be risky as it's just too much too fast. I do recommend the Glutathione Plus Lozenges yes - I'd take 1 full one upon rising in the morning. Bite it a couple times. Then stop, let it dissolve slowly. Then once it's all the way dissolved, hold, then swallow. Repeat this likely a few times during the day but not within 5 hours of bedtime as it may keep you awake, I'd also add in Optimal Electrolyte. Drink 1-2 servings a day - sip it! Do not chug it. Sip over time. And - Brain Nutrients Lozenge. I'd take 1/4 to 1/2 a lozenge of this along with the Glutathione Plus Lozenge to support oxidative stress from multiple angles and a clear head. Start there - and introduce 1 supplement every 2 days so you can feel how each one is working. You can stack one on top of each other every couple days - or you can introduce them one at a time spacing them out. Then once you know how each one makes you feel, then you can confidently stack them. In health, |
Would this be beneficial in pregnancy? Or reasons why it could be beneficial? | Hi Sydni - Glutathione is your body's primary antioxidant. High oxidative stress is associated with numerous pregnancy complications such as preeclampsia. "Of great concern is the finding that low levels of GSH (glutathione) seen in pre-eclampsia may also be found in the children delivered to these mothers.[83–86] Infants with low glutathione status are more prone to a number of associated medical complications including hypoxic encephalopathy, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, retinopathy, sepsis, and more.[87–90]" I recommend using 1/2 lozenge of Glutathione Plus lozenges upon waking in the morning to support healthy glutathione levels.* In health, |
At your suggestion I started taking 1/2 tablet upon waking. After several days I started having increased anxiety and unfocused brain. I stopped and the issues stopped. I find I need to be very careful when I use supplements as this is not an unusual occurrence and I’m trying to figure out why. Is there a reason why glutathione would do this? Thanks | Hi Conda - Yes this may happen when levels of glutathione exceed what I call the 'goldilocks' amount. Feel how you are doing prior to taking glutathione. You will learn when you need it and when you do not. If you wake with a cloudy head, consider taking some glutathione to support a healthy clear head.* If you wake clear headed and alert, you're good. Do not take any. If you get exposed to chemicals and get a foggy head, then consider supporting healthy glutathione levels by taking 1/2 or so depending on how big the exposure is. In health, |
First, I want to say that I love Seeking Health products and the "Dirty Genes" book. They have been extremely helpful on my health journey. I have variations in the SOD2 - Fast, GCH1 - Slow, GPX/GPT - Slow, and NOS3 - Slow genes. Based on the SOD2 and GCH1 genes, ozone therapy, hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), and glutathione might exacerbate issues. Should I still consider taking glutathione lozenges, or would it be better to avoid them and explore other options to support my glutathione pathways? I am 32 and have high cholesterol, homocysteine (11) and am being treated for mold and lyme. | Hi Krissy - Awesome. :) Glad you are experiencing benefits! I do recommend the Glutathione Plus Lozenge. It's a safe amount of glutathione that is well tolerated. Start with 1/2 lozenge immediately upon waking in the morning. Then you can take the other 1/2 lozenge later in the day if needed. High cholesterol is commonly associated with liver issues. Support a healthy liver with Liver Nutrients. Consider taking 1 capsule with dinner along with 1 capsule of Optimal PC. For the homocysteine, consider Homocysteine Nutrients with breakfast. Having healthy homocysteine, and healthy glutathione levels, are both essential for a healthy NOS3. I'd consider adding Sauna to your protocols. And using the Optimal Electrolyte Unflavored before you jump in the sauna - or sip it while in the sauna. I'd also take a Glutathione Plus Lozenge before hopping in the sauna as well. In health, |
I had an amino acid urine test and it showed I had very high Cystathionine, with low Methionine. I was recommended B6 to help with this. I am wondering if the Glutathione Plus lozenge will help also, since Glutathione is downstream and may be lacking? | Hi James - I like your thinking. I'm curious what your homocysteine level is? Low methionine is typically associated with too low of protein intake. Make sure you are eating, and absorbing, sufficient protein. Cystathionine can be elevated due to not only B6 deficiency but also elevated homocysteine. If your homocysteine is above 9 umol/L, then I recommend Homocysteine Nutrients. Take 1 capsule with breakfast. This has sufficient B6 in it and you would not need a separate B6 vitamin. You could also consider using Optimal Man and take 2 capsules with breakfast. If needing more energy support in the afternoon, you'd take the other 2 capsules with lunch. I often only use the 2 capsules with breakfast and only a few days a week. That's a good amount for me. You would not need Homocysteine Nutrients in this case IF your homocysteine levels are in healthy range of 6-8 umol/L I do recommend waking up with the Glutathione Plus Lozenges. I recommend keeping it on your bed stand or/and on your desk at work. Pop 1/2 to 1 lozenge in your mouth upon waking. I also alternate with the Brain Nutrients Lozenge some days if I'm feeling more lethargic and need more support of healthy energy, cognition and mood. I typically use 1/2 lozenge of Brain Nutrients. This has glutathione in it so you would not take the Glutathione Lozenge at the same time. No need. Again, I alternate and switch it up depending how I am feeling. In health, |
Hi, I recently started taking your glutathione lozenges to help me detox after being sick and just to detox in general. I seem to react to the glutathione and I’m only taking a quarter of the lozenge every other day. I get headaches later on and feel a little bloated. I am starting realize I think I am sensitive to sulfites. Because broccoli always bloats me too. I would like to keep taking glutathione will molybdenum help with headache and bloating? . Do I take at the same time? And can my children take glutathione too? They are 10yr and 15 year old girls. Thanks | Hi AG - I suspect you may have hydrogen sulfide bacteria in your digestive system. You need to work on balancing that out. Here are some suggestions: Consider:
Your kids can definitely take the Glutathione Lozenge. I like taking it first thing in the morning. We also have Kids Multivitamin Chewables for them. I'd start them on 1/2 to 1 chewable in the morning with breakfast. In health, |
I started taking 1/2 lozenge plus electrolytes in the morning as suggested about 1 week ago. After several days, I started have sleep issues and have had the same issue each night for the last 4-5 nights.. I just could not fall asleep for 1 hour or so and when I did it was a light sleep and I felt like I woke up every hour or so. I’m trying to figure this out and this is one of the new things that I have done. Up until I started this, I was have some of the best nights sleep - fall asleep fast and wake up once and sleep a good 8 hours. What are your thoughts on the supplement being the culprit?? | Hi Cyndi - It's possible. I don't see how the effect can last that long but it's possible. I'd stop both of them and see. Then, I'd introduce one of them at a time and see if one you do well with and the other is the culprit. In health, |
Is this suitable for a five year old and if so what dosage? Can it be paired with the kids chewable MF sensitive vitamin? We are ordering the sensitive multi to try as he has reacted negatively to EVERY multi and I am hoping not having methyl’s will allow him to finally get the b-12 and folate he needs. He is compound hetero and looking at the glutathione to help with toxic burden as we unfortunately had to do a round of antibiotics last week for the first time :( | Hi AH - Yes. I recommend starting with 1/4 to 1/2 a lozenge of Glutathione Plus Lozenge upon waking in the morning. It may be paired with the Kids Multivitamin Chewable MF. Start with 1/4 to 1/2 a chewable of the multivitamin with breakfast. In health, |
I read that you can take a half of a lozenge upon waking...is that okay on an empty stomach?? | Hi Anja - Absolutely. I use this lozenge every day with or without food. In health, |
I have read that glutathione is helpful for people with Rosaceae is this true? If so which one would you recommend? | Hi Robin - It is true, yes. I like your pick. I do recommend the Glutathione Plus Lozenge and use first thing in the morning upon waking. I'd also consider: Gallbladder Nutrients: Take 2 capsules before dinner Digestive Enzymes: Take 1 capsule with each of your main meals - up to 3 times a day. ProBiota HistaminX: take 1 capsule after dinner. This should help quite a bit :) In health, |
Hello! A functional specialist recommended that I take 500 mg of L-Glutathione Reduced daily to support my toxic burden and clearing support. I came across your Optimal Glutathione Pus Lozenges, but I am wondering why your dosage is significantly smaller with only 25 mg as opposed to the 500 mg in most glutathione products in the market; and how this product works. I am also wondering if there are any contraindications or reasons why a 500 mg daily dose should be avoided (especially for those of us with MTHFR); and whether your company has studies proving this product's effectiveness at detoxing from various toxins. Thanks in advance! | Hi JT - The higher the quality, the less you need. Reduced glutathione is very inferior compared to the glutathione we use which is Emothion as s-acetyl glutathione. Believe me, start with 1/2 lozenge of this first thing in the morning upon waking. You'll feel it in seconds. If you want more support, take a full lozenge. Rarely do I ever exceed a full lozenge at one time. I will often take 1/2 a lozenge and do that a few times a day. In fact, I'm going to take 1/2 lozenge right now :) Done. I keep a bottle of this along with Brain Nutrients and Optimal Focus on my desk. Emothion has research on their page: In terms of research on how our lozenge supports detoxification, it simply works by detoxing what glutathione is known to metabolize: arsenic, mercury, chlorine, formaldehyde, hydrogen peroxide and others. (30 seconds later, I just took the other half. I felt I needed a full one as my head was still a bit cloudy.) Try the lozenge. You'll have absolutely no regrets. If you want, you can try taking 2 or 5 lozenges to get your dosage of glutathione up. But I do NOT recommend it. You will feel like you overdosed on glutathione. That feeling is dizziness, unsteady, floating, just weird. It's not comfortable and I have no antidote for it. When I designed this supplement, I originally had it at 50 mg of Emothion per lozenge. I reduced it because my son and I both got the side effects and it was not fun. Thus, I reduced the potency to 25 mg per lozenge. Keep in mind also that I include the cofactors in this product - which greatly improves the effectiveness not to mention the lozenge delivery system. In health, |
Would this supplement be ok for someone with sleep issues that has slow COMT and methyl sensitivity to support detox, and if so, would it be best to take it daily or every other day? | Hi Liz - If taking in the morning upon waking, absolutely fine. If taking before bed, you will be wide awake. I find that taking 1/2 lozenge upon waking up most days has been great. That said, I am a fast COMT. That said, even slow COMT's should do well on Glutathione Lozenges. I'd do daily- each morning upon waking. Some days I'd do 1/2 lozenge and other days I'd do a full. I'd also consider Histamine Nutrients before bed. Take 1-2 capsules before bed to support healthy onset of sleep. You should notice support within about 20 minutes. In health, |
Can you tell me what is the difference between your capsule and this product is? Can you take more than one capsule a day or do you think one is plenty? | Hi Nichole - Great question. For me, I prefer the Lozenge over the capsule. Here's why:
With glutathione, it's best to take smaller amounts more frequently throughout the day. This way, your glutathione levels stay at a healthy level. I recommend starting your day with 1/2 lozenge of Glutathione Lozenge. If you feel some brain fog roll in the afternoon, take another 1/2. If you get exposed to exhaust, fragrances, chemicals, chlorine, then take likely a full lozenge of Glutathione Plus Lozenge as soon as you can to support healthy glutathione levels. I take the Glutathione Plus Lozenges with me on the airplane along with Optimal Electrolyte, Immune Intensive. I also keep Glutathione Plus Lozenges in my wife's car. She's sensitive to car exhaust so any time she gets exposed, she take 1/2 lozenge. In health, |
Why do I get stomach cramping and diarrhea within 30 min to an hour of taking this? I've started with a half lozenge to start for a bit, but anytime I try to increase and take a full one this happens. | Hi Abigail, Glutathione is a sulfur compound. If one has higher levels of hydrogen sulfide bacteria in their digestive system, the bacteria may make more hydrogen sulfide gas. If you usually have intolerance to anything sulfur (eggs, meat, cruciferous vegetables, NAC, MSM), then glutathione will do it as well especially at higher amounts. I recommend:
We have molybdenum in Glutathione Plus Lozenges but it seems to not be enough for you. You're not alone. It is quite common to have sulfur sensitivities.

Why does my tongue turn blue when I take it ? | Thank you for your question! This effect is caused by a pH reaction between the LifePQQ™ and saliva. This is a harmless side effect and the stain should disappear within an hour. It helps to brush teeth afterwards and drink adequate amounts of water. |
Hi, Would this be helpful for someone who has slow COMT and is compound heterozygous for MTHFR who battles with brain fog and is very sensitive to chemicals and strong smells and takes a while to recover after exercise?
