Can this be taken if you are Glycine and Sulfite sensitive? Will it help with inflammation due to low choline and mthfr | Hi Diandra - Yes you may take if glycine and sulfite sensitive. This supplement supports healthy energy via providing ATP and glutathione.* It doesn't focus on inflammation or MTHFR. In health, |
I already take glutathione daily in the mornings along with NAD. Can I take this products at the time on day's I'm feeling extra sluggish or didn't sleep well? | Hi Kate - You could yes but I have a better suggestion for you. Consider:
This combination will have you bouncing around the house with healthy energy and a healthy mood!* In health, |
After taking Energy Nutrients, I experienced a 3 pound weight gain probably water retention. Is this normal? If so, is there a way to combat that. I had to quit taking bc I was uncomfortable. Maybe I shouldn’t take daily? I like the energy and clarity it gives me just not the side effect | Hi Kelly - Energy Nutrients should be taken away from food for best effect. If you take it with food, it can increase weight gain yes as NADH acts as fuel for your mitochondria. Consider:

Can I take energy nutrients and optimal focus together? Is it safe to take together? Or spread them apart in hours? | Hi Deepak - There's no clear reason why you could not take Energy Nutrients and Optimal Focus together. I would suggest not taking either of them 5 hours before bedtime as they both may interfere with sleep. If you do take them together, I suggest no more than 1 capsule of Optimal Focus and 1/2 lozenge Energy Nutrients at first. And see how you go. Typically take Energy Nutrients when you need more energy and Optimal Focus when you need more brain power. Sometimes you need both at the same time. But this may require some experimentation on your part. However, no obvious contraindications. Hope this helps :) Regards, |
Can this be taken postpartum and breastfeeding when needing energy for sure and sometimes having brain fog? Also - does this react with any medicine? | Hi Irma - You can use this but I'd lean more to:
This is a comprehensive plan that will have you feeling way better in 24 hours ;) In health, |

Dear Dr Ben, please tell me about xylitol, I read that it causes cancer. Also I want to thank you for helping people with your great research , I have 2 of the late onset Alzheimer’s genes 677 and I am trying to help myself and others,Thank you for caring about your fellow man.we need so much help. God Bless you. | Hi Lisa - You're welcome and thank you ;) Xylitol that we use is derived from birch bark. There are going to be positive studies and negative studies on nearly everything. I am not concerned at all about xylitol. I do not like aspartame, sucralose, mannitol, stevia to name a few. To support a healthy function of the APOE genes, consider Optimal Focus - 1 capsule upon waking in the morning.* Use Optimal Focus about every other day or 3 days on and 3 off or when you feel you need it. Everyone is different. I'd also consider using 1/2 - 1 lozenge of Glutathione Plus Lozenge most mornings when you wake up to support healthy glutathione levels.* Sip a glass of Optimal Electrolyte upon waking as well with filtered water. I do not recommend Energy Nutrients for you. The other supplements above are better suited. In health, |
My daughter is in med school and needs help with focus and energy. I have gotten her the energy nutrients supplement but i am wondering if I should pair that with Focus. Will that be too much of the same thing? They are both pretty similiar in function right? | Hi Jumana - Oof - med school is a grind. My best to her. Hardest thing ever - well - besides writing a book ;) Here's how to support your daughter for med school - and it's similar to what I did and I made it through without even drinking caffeine:
That should do it. She should find herself able to perform in high pressure and low pressure situations and not be burned out. Best, |
My daughter takes pills but won’t leave lozenges in her mouth or under tongue. Can these be swallowed? | Hi Denise, Yes they can. I recommend having her take 1/4 to 1/2 lozenge at first to see how she responds to it. Cut it with a knife into quarters. She can bite or chew the lozenge, hold it for 5 to 10 seconds ideally but not necessary, then swallow. In health, |
Any suggestions how to pulse or take NADH? I took it for a week first thing in the morning and loved the energy, but a week into it started to disrupt my sleep and still feel the sleep disruption effects many days after stopping it. Maybe take a half dose 3 days a week or just full dose when needed? I did like that the first week of taking it it made my sleep shortened and more deep - I don’t want to lose the energy or sleep efficiency effects. Seems like a Goldilocks supplement which is hard to figure out dosing. | Hi M.C. You're right. It is very dependent on how you are feeling each day. I'd use just 1/4 of a lozenge. It's pretty powerful and you don't need much. I made it too potent per serving. I tend to do that :) On the days you wake up rested, skip it. Don't take it. Always take immediately upon waking. Do not take with food either. Best on an empty stomach or away from food by at least 30 minutes. If the 1/4 lozenge still keeps you up, and it shouldn't, but if it does, let's try something different. In the mornings, consider 1/4 to 1/2 lozenge of Brain Nutrients instead of the Energy Nutrients. This is my go to these days. My youngest son's favorite supplement is the new Energy Nutrients. It's being made now. I cannot tell you the new formulation yet - but it's definitely better and a nicer lozenge. Easier to break into smaller pieces. That new Energy Nutrients, or Brain Nutrients, combined with the new upcoming Optimal Electrolyte blend (coming in about 2 months) is absolutely exceptional. My son and I used the new Energy Nutrients and new Optimal Electrolyte this morning. We were ON :) Always improving around here. In health, |
Can someone that is an overmethylater & sensitive to caffeine take this? | Hi Anna - Energy Nutrients supports healthy ATP production. Caffeine blocks adenosine receptors. Adenosine makes someone feel tired and levels build up over the day. Methylation is not related to ATP production directly. That said, someone who is an overmethylator and sensitive to caffeine should tolerate Energy Nutrients. Best way to take Energy Nutrients is taking first 1/4 lozenge immediately upon waking up in the morning. Never take it with food. In health, |
