Are Seeking Health products non-GMO certified?Updated 2 months ago

Seeking Health products are not verified or certified non-GMO. Only products that go through the Non-GMO Project's verification process can be legally labeled or "non-GMO Project Verified". We do aim to use non-genetically modified (i.e. bio-engineered) ingredients whenever possible.

Some of our products are tested for common markers of GMOs, and therefore are labeled on the product page or website as "Does not contain: GMOs". The others are not yet tested, and we have not confirmed the absence of genetically modified material.

Here at Seeking Health, we believe in being transparent and offering education to our customers so you can understand the processes behind our formulations and creations. Obtaining a non-GMO verified label can take up to two years - even for just ONE product! This is a good thing, because the Non-GMO Project has stringent standards, however implementing the processes associated with certification can be prohibitively expensive and time-consuming for a large product line such as Seeking Health's. We are in the process of educating ourselves on the steps and processes for obtaining the certification.

Many of the ingredients we use are synthetic, meaning that it is not possible for then to have been produced using bio-engineering, as there is no organic/plant-derived material used in production. Please see this article for the reasoning behind synthesizing some ingredients: Why are some Seeking Health ingredients synthesized?
